Everyone residing the in the Coles District should read this post. Then they should get out their checkbook, an envelope and a stamp.
During the past few months potential Republican challengers in the 2015 elections have been dropping like flies, and that continued today with an announcement by Jim Riley that he’s not going to challenge Maureen Caddigan for the Potomac District seat on the Board of Supervisors. Right amidst an unprecedented wave of voter outrage against political […]
When Scott Jacobs got the news that he was disqualified as a Republican candidate for Brentsville Supervisor because he failed to file on time as a candidate for the Republican Mass Meeting, he realistically had three options to consider. He could endorse Jeanine “for the good of the party” and recover some of the goodwill […]
I visited with Scott Jacobs today, originally to confirm that it was one of his employees pictured on Virginia Virtucon taking down one of Jeanine Lawson’s signs. Scott was still in the midst of trying to figure out what to do in the wake of his campaign essentially coming to an abrupt end after neglecting to file […]
Hey, Scott Jacobs! This is just a friendly head’s-up that I know who is in this picture committing a Class 1 Misdemeanor on behalf of your campaign, and based on just how close they are to you that it would be pretty laughable to say that you didn’t have anything at all to do with […]
Members of a political party should have the opportunity to choose whoever they think is the best candidate to run as their nominee in a general election. I can’t even imagine a circumstance that would cause anyone to disagree with such a basic premise, one that’s part of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. […]
While Hugo Chavez is dead, his tactics and ideas live on right here in Prince William County, courtesy of folks like Milt Johns and Wally Covington. Dontcha just love it when Republicans show that beyond all the rhetoric, what they really want most is to be tinpot third-world communist dictators?
The Prince William County Republican Committee has issued their call for a convention with a filing deadline of February 23rd, and an overview of the call and convention dates are in an article at PWC News Network. Don’t wait to submit your delegate form, get it in now.
Some folks might have a few more questions about […]
Bill Card won the chairmanship of the Prince William County Republican Committee today by a pretty comfortable margin. Both candidates ran excellent, upbeat races and are to be commended for their dedication to the Committee and commitment to help it succeed. There’s no indication at all that there will be any residual animosity and every sign points […]
This is one of those years when local committees reorganize themselves, and this year Lyle Beefelt, who has done an utterly outstanding job of sheparding the PWCGOP through the perils of committee politics is not running for re-election. That has left an opening for Tom Whitmore, a dedicated activist who currently serves as Vice-Chair, to […]
Incumbent Gainesville school board representative Don Richardson got trounced by Alyson Satterwhite 42-13 at tonight’s committee meeting, putting a long-awaited, thundering nail in the political coffin of a board member who angrily told parents to “grow up” when they expressed concerns about the county schools. Congratulations to Alyson Satterwhite who has been working a long time for this.
Tonight the Prince William County Republican Committee will choose which candidates for school board will receive their endorsement. One of the contested races is in Gainesville, where Alyson Satterwhite is seeking to replace incumbent Don Richardson. Both have received important endorsements, as the following videos demonstrate.
Chris Royse made his official announcement of his campaign for Woodbridge Supervisor at last night’s meeting of the Prince William County Republican Committee, and while I wasn’t set up to record video I figured that readers would be interested in seeing what he had to say even if the footage isn’t quite up to my […]
Campaigns in Prince William County are getting in gear as filing deadlines rapidly approach. Looking at the progress candidates have made (or not) gives us a good idea of just who is serious about winning, and who is not. Here’s the breakdown:

For those of you that missed last weekend’s PWCRC Convention, here’s a highlights video for you. Enjoy.
Here’s the video of Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli at the PWCRC Lincoln-Reagan Dinner last week. Seeing how clearly and convincingly he makes his arguments, it’s not hard to understand why liberals get so incredibly upset with him. Ken is a real threat to the liberal agenda, making him one […]
Last night’s PWCRC Lincoln-Reagan dinner at Heritage Hunt went way beyond expectations for a local committee’s fundraising dinner. Sure, you had the usual speeches — and they were very good, especially Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli’s keynote address, but it was the extras this year that put this event way over the top. The committee brought […]
For those of you who missed the 2009 Patriot Dinner hosted by the Prince William County Republican Committee a while back, you missed a great event. Here’s an overview of what happened that night, and as you can see not only was the place packed, but the program was absolutely tremendous. […]
There was a big turnout at last night’s rain-soaked opening of the headquarters of the Prince William County Republicans last night where Attorney General nominee Ken Cuccinelli and local elected officials helped kick off the general election campaign. This was a great gear-up to this Saturday’s surge when volunteers will knock doors in precincts all […]
