Feder Summons Gozer The Gozarian?

By Greg L | 4 August 2006 | Humor & Satire, US Congress | 7 Comments

Judy “Tax Me Now” Feder is rumored to have decided that her dysfunctional and mistake-prone campaign needs even more dysfunction and mistakes, and is bringing Andy Resnick on board. This is the same guy responsible for the Harris Miller debacle, and is noted for his vicious, negative, nasty, brutal, personal campaign against Jim Webb in the primary.

I suppose this is a good time to shake up her campaign after getting such horrible support from her campaign staff which has encouraged her to campaign in a “Tony the Tiger” outfit, try to undercut other Democratic campaign fundraising efforts despite having a very effective fundraising effort of her own (largely from out of state), and most recently the issues here regarding someone who appears to be their official photographer. When Not Larry Sabato can’t figure out what the heck is going on, it’s probably a good time to re-evaluate things.

GoodbyeJim surmises that the net effect of such a change won’t help that much. “I think that what Frank Wolf has to look forward to is a big payday and easy victory over Judy”, he predicts. In this case, summoning even Gozer the Gozerian isn’t going to help overcome the persistent track record of serial failures and dumb mistakes for this campaign and the terrible weaknesses of this far-left candidate who has never held elective office.

I anticipate Resnick’s first press release will vary significantly from these comments, which are of uncertain attribution:

I’m a giant walking marshmallow man, the form that the Traveler, Gozer the Gozerian took when he returned to destroy the world. During the rectification of the Vuldronaii the Traveler came as a large, moving Torb. Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants they chose a new form for him—that of a giant Sloar. Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day, I can tell you.

It should be interesting, if true.
