I had to explain that I was, in fact, a democrat. She nicely tried to work on me. A great deal has been made of Republicans and Democrats voting in the opposing party's primary as spoilers. Just remember that there are people that are issue voters first and partisans second. I think both sides need to remove the cloud of suspicion for the people who are legitimately trying to contribute to the process and vote their conscience, especially when it may not be best represented by their "own" party. With all that, I hope to see Manassas Park take a more active role in the November elections. We need to get out the vote, regardless of party. By the same token, those running for office cannot and should not ignore our city anymore. Come to Manassas Park, knock on our doors, talk to us! Oh, and it sucks he sued you. Since there will most likely be a lower turnout from MP, each delegate’s vote could have a greater weight than a City or PWC delegate.
