At last check, Jim "Darth Vader" Young was not a member of the Virginia Bar, but rather PA or DC, which lets near bout anyone in. Virginia has a challenging exam. Maybe he can waive in one day. As far as the Darth Vader thing, ask around. He likes wearing the Darth Vader mask while a certain act isperformed on him, so says someone who went to college with him. Also, he eats his own boogars. Covering Steve only after he dropped out, and using that to make republicans look stupid, seems to be in that same mold. The reporter you mention ran TWO articles last week on local politics and didn't interview a single republican. And now it's only to attack other republicans and make us look silly. It would be nice if, as you say, they would actually cover the issues of the campaign, but that is a lot harder than simply getting quotes from people. Also, notice how the reporter didn't verify that Chapman was a Woodbridge HS grad, or that he does have the arlington contract?
