Her website is quite empty. I think it would do her some good to announce her fundraising activities for Mexicanos Sin Fronteras — everyone knows that illegal aliens all vote for the Democrats as soon as they get their forged documents anyway.

She definitely needs a Spanish version of her page, preferably with content completely different from what the English pages have to say. That way, she can present herself as a moderate to those who read English but don’t know Spanish, and she can present herself as a Marxist to the Mexicanos Sin Fronteras types who don’t know English, getting votes from both groups.

Unless the PEC is engaged in armed uprisings, marxist protest actions in Manassas by folks who don’t live in Manassas, or inviting people to come see gay porn movies, I’d say it’s enormously offtopic. Read the post!

If that’s the case, then putting a strong fence on the southern border is like putting a lock on the fridge door.

What he liked was how effective the group was in getting land owners to place voluntary conservation easements on farm and forest properties. Farm land as opposed to residential neighborhoods do not create such a burden on the property tax rate.

When you run for office and ask for my vote I’ll expect to hear exactly what parts of the Republican platform you don’t support and what parts of what Sierra Club does that you do.

If you’re going to do that, you needn’t worry about getting more of your transportation tax dollars back from Richmond, as Miller states he is going to do.

No build, no expenses, no need for the money.

(Maintenance of existing transportation infrastructure is, to my knowledge, fully funded and has been for a long time).

The answer was something to the effect of, “I don’t necessarily agree with all of the positions of the organizations that I am affiliated with”.

I wouldn’t have expected any less of an answer.

Why don’t you ask him how he “reconciles” it.

In the meantime you could explain what Miller’s position is and why it is completely incompatible with PECs (for those not in the know, since you clearly are).

Must one agree with EVERY stance of an organization to which they belong? I don’t agree with 100% of the Republican platform - most things yes, but a few things no. But I’m also a member of the Sierra Club, and I don’t agree with them 100%, but I support a lot of their positions. Do you require all of your candidates to adhere to every single principle of an organization to which they belong.

I agree, the environmentalist should be concerned about illegal immigration. Not only are the National parks along the border suffereing, but you can also make the argument that illegal immigration causes sprawl, as many folks want to escape once nice neighborhoods etc.

Though it is interesting about environmentalism–any environmentalist that isn’t a “watermelon” (green on the outside, commie red on the inside) should rightly be concerned about illegal immigration. Especially given the mess on the Mexican border, and mean literally piles of trash.

However, should the PEC march around the Country breaking the law and our asking people to break the law then I think Jackson should resign his position and rightly denounce the group.
