CANDIDATE SIGHTING

By Greg L | 14 July 2006 | 50th HOD District | 2 Comments

On my way to work this morning, I ran across Republican nominee for the 50th District Jackson Miller. He was in uniform and on duty as a Prince William County Police officer, and had pulled over a vehicle at the corner of Williamson and Stonehouse Drive. I hear he’s still working a few days a week with the police department, and I suppose this confirms it.

When you see Jeanette “Moonfruit” Rishell, she’s often pulling some sort of bizarre political stunt. When you see Jackson Miller out there, you see someone protecting our community. The qualitiative difference is enormous.

50th District Campaign Notes:

Monday is the deadline for Campaign Finance Disclosures with the State Board of Elections, who will likely release data sometime next week. Those should be interesting reading, and I’ll be sure to post about them when the information become available.

Jeanette Rishell has a fundraiser with the Virginia Partisans Gay & Lesbian Democratic Club tomorrow. Hopefully there will be some coverage by the local press, and I’d expect some interesting quotes coming out of that event.

Jackson Miller is a man of integrity and strong beliefs. I feel he will represent the 50th HOD well. He has never given me a reason to doubt his sincerity about helping his constituents. Go Jackson!

I’ve heard that Jeanette has walked over 2000 doors so far…not much of a political stunt..sounds more like smart campaigning. Pulling people over isn’t going to get Jackson elected….maybe he should take a leave of absence and do some real campaigning.
