Bouchillon Fired, Judy Feder Still Silent

By Greg L | 2 September 2006 | US Congress | 12 Comments

UPDATE: Since the time of this posting Mr. Bouchillon has done a tremendous job of turning things around and his website has dramatically improved. I now visit and comment on his website fairly frequently, and am very pleased to have this unpleasantness behind us. Mr. Bouchillon is rare testament to the power of personal redemption, and a success story of the Virginia blogosphere.

I’m hearing that the Judy Feder for Congress Campaign has fired Mr. Bouchillon because of the attacks he has engaged in against our family. This helps confirm our evidence that Mr. Bouchillon was acting in an official capacity for the campaign.

Meanwhile both Mr. Bouchillon and the Judy Feder campaign have remained silent. Perhaps they think that if they ignore the mounting evidence, perhaps this scandal will go away. It will not. BVBL will continue to press this issue until the Judy Feder campaign provides a public explanation for their behavior.

I wonder if BVBL readers would like to participate in an effort to publish paid advertisements in major metropolitan newspapers which would demand answers? Or perhaps a mailing to voters in the 10th district which would explain what the Judy Feder for Congress campaign has done? What will it take for Judy Feder to address this incident?

The longer she ducks this, the more obvious it is to me that she approves of what has been done. That is going to become increasingly difficult for Judy Feder.

I don’t think Bouchillon ever worked for the campaign. Nor can I find any reference to him in any FEC report for getting paid.

Your first link is incorrectly formed, you forgot your “?p=249″ before the “#comment-1493″.

If it is clear Judy fired Greg for this, I think all she needs do now is a private apology to you for his acts, and she would be reasonably absolved of this. Of course, it wasn’t my family being attacked, I could well feel differently in that case.

NLS, does that mean that the anonymous poster who claims Greg was fired is lying? It is clear that anon poster is a pro-feder supporter, and maybe associated with her campaign, but was anon lying to protect her?

Actually, the only thing that’s true is that Greg B did something stupid and insensitive while employed or affiliated with the Feder campaign. And has subsequently been fired or rightly offered his resignation. Whatever the case may be, there is still no evidence that what he did was “in an official capacity for the campaign.”

Really, you have a valid point about what Greg B did to you. But you’re under-cutting your own case by trying to make this into a political smear of Feder.

BTW, I could well believe the anon poster didn’t know what he/she was talking about. And while I like Greg, I have often complained that the rules of evidence applied in this blog are not as rigid as I would like to support the claims made.

That was certainly true during the reign of the anonymous coward BVBL who deleted his comments and ran off when challenged, leaving Greg holding the bag, literally, with the lawsuit (if BVBL would have revealed himself publicly and taken responsibility for his actions, I am convinced Steve would not have kept Greg in a lawsuit).

Anyway, it would be interesting to hear Greg B’s take on the subject.

It would be MORE fun to see a REAL apology from Greg (who’s previous apology apparently was false) along with comments from those who defended Greg and attacked those of us who were not ready to simply ignore the whole thing.

And by “fired” I mean gotten rid of or asked to leave or left on his own, regardless of whether there was a paycheck. And I actually don’t have any idea if he was employed with her and I am not affiliated with Feder’s campaign in ANY WAY. So let’s not even go there.

And actually, if he didn’t even work for Feder, that makes this whole smear campaign on this blog even worse. I mean, let’s be clear, you’ve led with the headline “Judy Feder Responsible for Attacks on Children.” Yet you have admitted you have zero evidence it’s true. That’s completely irresponsible of you.

There are no rules of evidence on this web site. The only rule is ruthless attacks on opponents, bullying and ridicule, intolerance, and zero regard for the truth. Victory at any cost. Greg L. = Joe McCarthy. That, and a pathetic and paranoid sense of victimization.

My understanding is that Greg B. was an unpaid volunteer. He was asked to leave and not come to any more campaign events following this debacle. I personally think that this whole incident may be part of the campaign manager switch, though I have no factual knowledge of that. I have also heard there is a no blogging edict for new volunteers. Makes sense to me.

My opinion - Greg B. is an idiot for attacking any family or child with special needs and is an embarrassment to the political party we have in common.

    NLS-

    Take a look at

for a brief discussion of the FEC reports and how it does not preclude the possibility of payment for Greg B.

BTW, I checked the Judy Feder website, and there is nothing about removing Greg, not accepting his pictures anymore, or anything about apoligizing to Greg L. for Greg B’s actions.

I don’t think it has to be on her web site, but she should at least apologize personally to Greg L. in order to put this behind her.

Simply telling Greg not to show up at her events anymore isn’t really sufficient, given that it was HER campaign pictures which started all this.

I’m also thinking that, at least until Greg B. issues a real apology, other bloggers who don’t support what Greg B. did in attacking Greg L’s family should remove Greg B.’s web site from their blog rolls.

Why did it take so long for Feder to do something about Greg B.? I would have thought that if she was truly concerned about what was done to Greg L’s family she would have taken care of it much sooner. Was it done now to try to get Greg L off of her back?

Keep on top of it Greg! L that is.
