Driving liberals, dhimmis and illegal alien apologists absolutely insane since 2005...

A Great Comparison

By Greg L | 29 September 2006 | Jeanette Rishell, 50th HOD District | No Comments

I got another great mailer from the Jackson Miller campaign which gave some pretty stark comparisons between the candidates. It’s worth reproducing the table which provides the comparison for BVBL readers who might have missed this:

Issue Jackson Miller Jeanette Rishell
Transportation Released traffic and transportation plan that includes revising funding formulas to get our fair share, stopping raids on the Transportation Trust Fund, and cracking down on drunk and dangerous drivers. Opposes higher taxes. Supports raising taxes and increasing “title fees” on vehicles (Gainesville Times, June 29 2006)
Illegal Immigration Released plan to combat illegal immigration with emphasis on enforcement of the law and protection of our families and neighborhoods. “Noticeably absent from all of the Democrats’ speeches Saturday was the topic of illegal immigration.” (Gainesville Times, June 29, 2006)
Effective Leadership Has good working relationships with leaders in the General Assembly, and with the district’s U. S. Congressman and U. S. Senators, to better serve all the people of the 50th District. Runs a negative campaign against our leaders and publicly called State House leaders “incompetent, politicized, arrogant and ineffective.” (Gainesville Times, June 29, 2006)
Amnesty For Illegal Aliens Opposed. Supports and collected money for “Woodbridge Workers Committee” which has very close ties to “Mexicans Without Borders”, a group which claims to be at war with the City of Manassas and supports amnesty for all immigrants in the county illegally. (Bull Run Unitarian Universalists Newsletter, December 2005 and www.mexicanossinfronteras.com)
Taxes Does not support raising taxes. Especially in light of Richmond’s 1.5 billion dollar surplus. Supported repeal of the death tax. Campaign supports higher income taxes and “title fees” on vehicles. (Gainesville Times, June 29, 2006) Opposed repeal of the death tax. (Candidate Debate, 9/21/06)
Gay Marriage Opposes gay marriage. Supports the marriage amendment. Supports gay marriage. Opposes marriage amendment. (Virginia Partisans Gay and Lesbian Democratic Club Endorsement) Featured speaker at gay rights event.(August 5, 2006)

I think I could add a few more items to this table, but for now I’ll leave it as the campaign printed it.
