ICE Training Triple Play Opportunity

I hear from Frances Kassinger of the Manassas Park City Council that Manassas Park will begin discussions regarding partipation in the Section 287(g) Program, following the lead of Jackson Miller of the Manassas City Council. In Prince William County, several supervisors are interested in this program and intend to raise the issue on October 10th. From one end of Prince William County to the other, local legislators are starting to take action to combat the problems which result from illegal immigration.

Well, that should read “some legislators”. Absent in the current discussions about participating in the 287(g) program are the Democratic officeholders and candidates such as Sharon Pandak, Hilda Barg, John Jenkins and Jeanette Rishell. Hopefully they will soon constructively join in these discussions, as this shouldn’t be a partisan issue.

Meanwhile, the Washington Post weighs in this Sunday with an article by Bill Turque and Karin Brulliard entitled “Illegal Immigrants Fearful In Herndon” which demonstrates what some of the opposing arguments for this initiative may be. Apparently a great number of illegal immigrants in Herndon are considering moving away, which is for some reason considered to be a negative result. And illegal immigrants may actually be held to account for committing crimes. In short, consequences aren’t much fun. They shouldn’t be.

I’ve also been contacted by groups interested in bringing this discussion to localities in the Richmond area. This issue is gaining tremendous momentum that illegal immigration activists will not be able to thwart. Contact your legislators — they are listening.

The WaPo has a consistent drumbeat of stories (?) about illegal immigration. Here’s this morning’s commentary: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/01/AR2006100100807.html

That’s about what you’d expect from liberal fishwrap like the Washington Compost.

fishwrap - never heard that one before. It is an odd commentary because they essentially say that doing nothing is the way to go. It makes me wonder if they live in the same area that I do….

    Andy,

The problem is they do not live in the same area as we do. Therefore, they do not have to put up with the issues of illegal immigration like we do. Wonder what other criminal activity the COMpost supports?

Of course according to the COMpost the real criminals are those law abiding Citizens who speak out against illegal immigration.
