Jackson Miller Sworn In As Delegate
By Greg L | 29 November 2006 | 50th HOD District | 3 Comments
Jackson Miller was sworn in as a Delegate today at noon in Richmond in an informal ceremony attended by a few friends and family members. I had an opportunity to speak with him briefly before the ceremony, and he wanted to pass along his appreciation to all of the volunteers and contributors who worked so hard in order to make today possible.
Soon we’ll be hearing about Delegate Miller’s committee assignments, and I expect that he will be assigned to the Militia, Police & Public Safety committee, which is a natural fit for an experienced police officer and Army veteran. In past years the this committee has been a troublesome roadblock for many good pieces of legislation which would help remove unwarranted restrictions on Second Amendment rights and could well use another conservative, pro-liberty voice. Delegate Miller would measurably help improve that committee with his solid experience and strong convictions.
Congratulations to Delegate Miller, and all those who worked so hard on his campaign.

Does anyone know where and when the legislative townhalls are going to be held?
I don’t know if any are scheduled, but as soon as I hear anything about them I’ll certainly post the information.
