Julie Lucas is on the Board of Education??? What state would that be in? Welcome to Virginia, buddy, we have a SCHOOL BOARD - lol.

That being said, the current SCHOOL BOARD chairman, Ms. Beauchamp, has too many skeletons in her closet to run for higher office...it would do PWC well to elect Ms. McQuigg as Clerk and no, I do NOT live in PWC and do not have a stake in that election.

A good contest would be to see Ms. Lucas against Ms. Beauchamp...Ms. B has been "running" against her for YEARS now (ever see a school board meeting???) and losing to Ms. Lucas almost weekly.

The smart Republican move is to hold a caucus or convention for Clerk of Court as early as possible, so that if McQuigg loses to Beauchamp then McQuigg could still run to retain her delegate seat. She is unbeatable for delegate. Porta would be unlikely to challenge her again. He allegedly feels an obligaton to serve out his term as mayor of Occoquan, which is why he declined to run for supervisor though Democrats reportedly pleaded with him. Some Democrats say that Porta might run for delegate if it is an open seat because he also feels obligated to the people who supported him in his first delegate race. Porta would crush Gill in a general election. Republicans should give Beauchamp the nod for Clerk and get McQuigg to keep her delegate seat. Gill will just cost us a seat.

You need to get your facts straight. Earnie Porta has run for two positions and the second, Mayor of Occoquan, he won handily. He will not be running for Supervisor but there is a very strong Democratic candidate running.

Run Julie run. She would be a very strong candidate and a much better chance to keep that seat in the 'R' column over Faisal Gill-igan.

Beauchamp is running for Clerk. Porta has run for three different positions in the past year and a half, and would get strongly questioned about being a candidate in search of an office if he were to run for something else yet again. I think he recognizes he has to stay put for a while before he shoots for a higher office. He can afford to wait, as in '09 he would be in a good position to take on whoever ends up winning the 51st HOD race.

Stewart is happy where he is, and 51st HOD would probably be considered a step down for him, as the last PWC Chairman almost won a primary for a statewide race.

Glad to set things straight. Now I have to demonstrate that 51st HOD is at least "leans Republican" right now to NLS, who is still struggling to figure out the terrain in Occoquan right now.

I'm not deep into PWC, but I've got a few questions:

Over at GOPHokie, someone is talking about Earnie Porta running again, whats with that?

And Beauchamp acrtually running for delegate

And maybe Stewart running, too?
