Driving liberals, dhimmis and illegal alien apologists absolutely insane since 2005...

"We have lost our ambition, our imagination, and our willingness to do the things that built the Golden Gate Bridge" - Barack Obama (aka President Malaise)

Too Much Kool-Aid At The MJM

Our latest installment in the continuing story of how the local media fawns over every insignificant uttering by Ricardo Juarez, leader of Mexicanos Sin Fronteras, is today’s Manassas Journal-Messenger article “Immigration Advocates Fast“. Reporter Lillian Kafka gets sent down to Richmond in order to cover the non-event of a handful of radical illegal alien apologists abstaining from food for a few days because the General Assembly finally is giving some consideration to ameliorating the impacts of illegal immigration. And we’re supposed to care.

“No one is illegal” is apparently the mantra of this active supporter of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation, who also lobbies our elected representatives to further his agenda of obtaining full amnesty for all illegal aliens. How someone who breaks the law can somehow be considered in compliance with the law is never explained in this article, which goes on to parrot Juarez’s claims that we’re actually doing something effective to control illegal immigration.

“I was suffering for the oppression of my people. We are suffering raids, detention without justification on the streets, the construction industry is [slowing] down,” Juarez said, standing in front of the Virginia General Assembly building.

You know, Mr. Juarez, if things are too difficult here there’s always the possibility of returning to Mexico where life might be better. And if it’s not, properly applying for legal residency and coming to the United States instead of sneaking across the border like a criminal might be an option worthy of consideration. That’s kind of the way we do things here — following the law, if you haven’t figured that out.

I really like Lillian Kafka. She generally does really good work, as do many other reporters for the Manassas Journal-Messenger. I just wish the MJM would actually allow them to cover stories that are actually newsworthy, rather than the stories that the editorial board apparently feels we need fed to us. I’m starting to feel somewhat embarrassed for the citizens of Manassas and Prince William County, seeing our local press behave like this.

Hint for the MJM: How about running a story on a certain scandal in Manassas Park instead of this drivel?

Just wait. Next week the MJM will begin running an in-depth story on the plight of Homeless, gay, Illegals, who lack medical coverage, and were denied a special use permit by the mean old Republicans to open a Shelter/Disco/Medical clinic.

I think it is time that they got a new editor.

The MJM is very pro illegal immigration. I doubt it has anything to do with the spanish language paper they now put out. I really believe outside of the letters to the editor, the MJM has a policy that forbids any negative stories about illegal immigration.

The MJM has no dead tree media competition
on a daily basis in their prime circulation area. A decade
ago, there were three papers and the writing was
much better. The MJM has no incentive to become
anything more than a glorified shopper. (Like you,
I think they have some competent staff folks, but zero
    corporate leadership and support).

Have pitched to MJM editors a suggestion of a reasoned
objective story and editorial opinions on the changing
demographics in the Manassas Public School System,
but so far they are still stuck on the “when I was a little
girl growing up in Ohio.. blah, blah, blah” stuff.

    - The General Education Group (English speaking
students) has dropped nearly a thousand students in the
last four years — ESL (Spanish speaking students)
have increased almost the same amount and are far more
    expensive, on average, to educate.

    - The US Dept. of Education is giving no slack on
No Child Left Behind requirements - despite what a
child’s educational level is when they enter our system.

    - How, with budgets already strained, do we pay for this?

    - We should be having a calm candid community discussion
on this and our paper of record should be doing their
    part.

Remember when Zullinger was “fired” as superintendent of Manassas City Schools? He was accused of causing “White flight out of Manassas”

Americans are tired of being put second, so they are leaving area’s that are being inundated with illegals.

If the illegals are having such a hard time here, why don’t they go home? Mavbe Faisal Gill’s law firm will but them bus tickets back to the land of honey and opportunity.

Because they’re entitled. They spent $2000 to be snuck across the border by a coyote and they want their investment to pay off.

” ‘Illegal immigrants pay income taxes, sales tax,’ said Laura Castro, director of students for the Virginia Journey for Immigrant Justice.”

Now how is it that illegal immigrants are paying income taxes if they have no legal documentation, such as a social security number and/or a “green” card? Am I missing something here…or is she suggesting that they are presenting forged documents to employers?

The smart ones will just claim a bunch of exemptions on the W4 form so they have little or not tax withheld.

If you or I did that the IRS would slap us with a penalty when we filed our income taxes.

But for those that never intend to file income taxes, there is no consequence.
