The MJM Body Slams Manassas Park
By Greg L | 23 February 2007 | Rack & Roll Scandal | 9 Comments
In part two of the Manassas Journal-Messenger’s story on the Rack & Roll scandal, reporter Alex Granados delivers a withering fire against the actions of Manassas Park which I am certain will be driving Manassas Park officials to distraction today. Included in the article are quotes from family members of Manassas Park Police Chief John Evans which confirm Dave Ruttenberg’s account, statements from witnesses that state that the Manassas Park Police Department asked them to set up David Ruttenberg, and some references that correlate with posts I’ve done on this story. It really is a great overview of some of the important facets of this scandal, and definitely worth a read. I just wish that Alex had more print space to dive into some of these vingnettes more deeply.
I’ll have more on this tomorrow, when I’ll provide additional documentation on some of the issues raised in this article. Tonight I retire with the satisfaction that the story which I have devoted so much time to over the last several months is starting to break in the mainstream media, which brings the possibility of justice served for Dave Ruttenberg a lot closer to being realized than it ever has been before. That is a rather satisfying feeling.
If this doesn’t get the attention of additional media outlets, I’ll be rather surprised.

You’ve done a terrific job attracting attention to these disturbing and underhanded events. Policy wonk blogs might be interesting but they have no meaningful purpose if there is no one to report that our “leaders” are running amok.
Yesterday’s start-off may have been a little awkward but there’s nothing awkward about part 2.
This is just great Greg, more rumor-mongering and smear jobs on upstanding public servants. Now you have the liberal rags piling on. We can only hope that Mannassas park sues you into the ground like the honorable Steve Chapman and Faisal Gill. How dare you question our exalted leaders. Who do you think you are?
Can not wait to read Part 3….
Thanks Greg.
Not Tom Kopko — Love the sarcasm. Uh…that was sarcasm….wasn’t it?…..
Of course it is, you stupid anonymous cowardly m-f’er!!!!!
Awesome job! Not on the level of BVBL’s in-depth coverage, but great by the MJM’s usual standard. I can’t wait for the next installment.
I’m glad you got this out there Greg. It looks like it is steam rolling ahead. Now that Alex has put it in the print media, maybe the other papers and the tv media will pick up the story. That will put the pressure on and some one will finally look into this as it needs to be.
Not Tom Kopko —
Take your meds. I was just pointing out the sarcastic humor of your post. Why the anger and vulgarity? And by the way, because of the nature of this situation, there are some of us that simply cannot at this time post under our names (yet anyway). We’re not as brave as you by posting under your real name “Not Tom Kopko.” And please don’t call me an “m-fer” anymore. I heard yours wasn’t worth a second look since Eisenhower was a Corporal.
