It’s Gay Thursday In Manassas
By Greg L | 22 March 2007 | Prince William County | 20 Comments
The mystery of which local establishment is starting to have a “Gay Night” as I reported last week in “More Manassas MySpace Intel” now seems solved. Sharpshooter’s, a bar/pool hall at the corner of Sudley Road and Sudley Manor Drive is now promoting an event which is disturbingly similar to what I reported on earlier. The fun in my neighborhood starts this evening, and it looks like it’s going to draw such wonderful queers as this guy, pictured at left.
If you like billiards, from now on you might want to consider going to Rack & Roll in Manassas Park. Not only would you be supporting a local businessman in his fight against the abominable treatment he’s received from the city of Manassas Park, you wouldn’t be giving your business to a place that is determined to salvage it’s business model by racing to the bottom like this.
What are they going to do when this doesn’t work? They started with Latino night, which didn’t work. Now it’s gay night. Are animal acts far behind?
UPDATE: I’m hearing details on this place from interested readers, and apparently there are some concerns about the ownership of this establishment and activities that are occurring there. Phrases like “Korean mafia” seem to be a common thread here, but I don’t have enough information to say for sure whether these are just baseless rumors that have gained popularity, or whether there’s some real meat to this. I will be following up on this.

The only thing scarier than Fags with Pool Cues is….?
You know, there is a lot of homosexuality in the madrassas in Pakistan. There isn’t supposed to be but there is. Tons of young men with no girls anywhere.
Some madrassa students get punked out over there and then immigrate to America, bringing their newfound appreciation of furtive forms of gay culture with them.
That is why we should be very suspicious of any product of madrassas’ culture who openly seeks to impose sharia law in the US. Unfortunately, Faisal Gill’s law partner Asim Ghafoor openly advocated governing America according to Islamic law in a 2000 interview on Radio Islam.
Ghafoor was also Faisal Gill’s employer of record in 2001 when Gill was the chief lobbyist for the imprisoned terrorist Abdurahman Alamoudi’s American Muslim Council.
Pakistani madrassas combine the worst elements of flaming gay homo-eroticism, child molestation and international jihad. Good luck to any pols who seek to sell Alamoudi’s, Al-Arian’s, Ghafoor’s and Gill’s lethal mixture to PWC Republicans.
Why do you care what they do? Different social groups of people like to cluster together periodically. A great many night clubs find that there is demand for allowing different promoters with ties to different social groups set up regular events in order to draw crowds on nights other than Friday and Saturday. Why do you care how someone else makes a living? And what do you lose when a bunch of people with something in common get together for an evening? How is this attitude of yours ‘conservative?’ Barry Goldwater is rolling over in his grave.
Maybe you should talk to the venue about a ‘conservative night.’ There’s no reason why something like that shouldn’t work. You find a DJ who spins whatever kind of music you think that conservatives would like. Christian rock? I dunno. Then you make posters and send out messages on appropriate list servs and so on to promote it. This way the club gets to have a good bit of business on some random weeknight, you get to maybe make a little money and put together an event for your peer group and the people who come get to have an evening among like-minded people. Everybody wins.
Plus, you then get to be the local hero who made something happen for local conservatives. And you’ve got a regular event for candidates to show up at. I think you should go out and do this rather than complain about the fun that other people are having.
Perhaps some of us are simply offended that a very few local businesses have decided to pander to homosexuals. If a local business in your area decided to pander to skinhead nazis and white supremacists, would your dismissal of community concerns be so casual? I can imagine no one screaming bloody murder more loudly than yourself.
If local businesses in my neighborhood want to attract folks like the guy in the picture, I’m going to complain about it. If you want this in your neighborhood, go right ahead. I just don’t want it in mine.
“The only thing scarier than Fags with Pool Cues is….?”
A public butt darts tournament.
Seriously who cares about fags when our cities have been overrun by illegals and gangs? Unless it is an illegal fag I could care less. One battle at a time here folks. This is how they do it. They throw you off the scent of the prize by dangling a bait hook in front of you with a supposed gay night at some club somewhere and off we go to protest that. Illegals and our lack of a local government that works for its citizens is what we need to concentrate on for the immediate long haul.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA…BAHHHHAAAAHAHAHAHAHHA””’HEEEEHEHEHEHheheheehee heee hee…hee…
My community is under assault from the effects of liberalism. That liberalism was permissive towards illegal aliens and gangs but seeks to criminalize thought, it seeks to define what is normal as deviant and what is deviant as normal, it destroys wealth in the name of combating poverty, and it promotes totalinarianism in the name of freedom. You can’t defeat liberalism by only attacking it’s symptoms, you have to destroy it by taking it head on, in every way, showing what a destructive and enslaving lie it really is.
So when we talk about illegal aliens, we’re talking about the disdain for the law that allows them to flourish here. It’s not about the folks who are illegal aliens, many of whom are good folks who never would have done what they did if we actually sought to enforce our own laws in a meaningful way, rather than pay it lip service. It’s about the attitudes which made it so enticing and easy for them to be and stay here. It’s about who we are, not about the illegal aliens themselves.
We can put every illegal alien on the bus tomorrow, and we’ll be right back in this spot in a year if we don’t defeat the liberalism that causes not only illegal immigration, but pandering to homosexuals as well.
“Lesbian Nazi hookers abducted by UFO’s and forced into weight-loss programs, all this week on Town Talk!”
Greg is a very unhappy camper this evening. Aww. This thread is absolutely priceless, I can’t stop laughing…damn you, Greg “my community is under assault” L…
Hey, David:
Hop on Route 15 from lofty Loudoun county, make a left on 234 and cruise Sudley Road up and down until an illegal with no license or insurance totals your car, injures you and someone you love and leaves you holding the bill for everything. It happened to me, and in no way am I part of an exclusive club in that regard. I believe it happens more than just once a day down here.
I visit this blog to read on the immigration and crime issues. I’m not as up in arms as some about the whole gay thing, I see how it offends some and how they can make a ’slippery slope’ argument on subject, but I just can’t see past the illegal immigration and growing gang problem. That, however, does not mean that I feel those who can relate one issue to the other deserve to be mocked.
In BVBL’s defense, I must say that if you think the “community under assault” statement is laughable, then all you’re doing is just pointing out the obvious: that you do not live in Manassas.
I wonder what percentage of these atendees will shake their money-makers on Thursday, and then attend services at the BRUU on Sunday? Conservative, family -oriented Manassas is indeed under assault by liberals, gays and illegals. They came here because Manassas was a “great place to live”. Plenty of jobs, affordable housing, good schools, low crime. The ironic thing is these groups will be responsible for destroying what made Manassas a “great place to live” in the first place.
I know, it’s not the gays who are causing crime, overcrowding homes, and erroding our schools. It’s the gays, bringing their deviant, immoral life-style to the area that tears at the very foundation of the community: the family. Businesses who cater to a particular group are part of the problem. Whether it’s Latino night, Gay night, Biker night, Latino-Gay-Biker Night, these businesses are not responsible members of the community. They need to be boycotted.
We don’t need a gathering of people who actually know how many licks it takes to get to the tootsie-roll center of a tootsie-pop. Some things should remain a mystery.
I could care less about gay people when we have better things worry about. Gay people are not overcrowding our neighborhoods or schools. There are too many illegals in the area and the INS or police are not doing anything about it. I am tired of sitting back and having a lax attitude about this. NO MORE!!! You want to be here, get legalized damn it!!! Marry some white girl, get a green card, and start paying taxes like the rest of us AMERICANS !!!
Or please join the Military - fastest way to gain citizenship.
Casey, what I’m mocking is the notion that anyone is so insecure that they feel under assault by a “gay night” at some suburban bar. Geez.
It’s hard to tell which comments are real and which are parodies.
Btw, some parts of Loudoun are less “lofty” than others. It’s a big place.
David,
Please don’t be too tough on Red Velvet Sponge Spants. He’s a sensitive guy. I think he’s identified some legitimate problems that we can solve if we think creatively and work together. Here is a proposal. Gregie, do you think you can turn this into draft legislation for your hombre Jackson Miller?
Purpose: To promote virtue and lawfulness among homosexuals and illegals.
1. A homosexual couple that captures a criminal illegal alien who is eventually brought to justice, convicted of a crime and deported will receive a marriage license.
2. A law abiding undocumented immigrant who accurately outs a hypocritical anti-gay zeolot will receive a green card. The zealot will be deported to a homosexual friendly country like Pakistan to live out his perveted sexual lifestyle in madrassas culture.
3. If a person who is not a homosexual or an illegal alien performs one of the acts identified in paragraph 1. or 2. he will receive the respective reward coupon (for a homosexual marriage license or a green card) that he can sell on the open market. The coupon is only redeemable if the holder successfully passes a virtue examination. If the holder fails the examination, the state siezes the coupon and sells it to the highest bidder. Proceeds from sales are deposited into the general fund.
Google the collective terms ‘Manassas’ and ‘redneck’… or ‘Manassas’ and ‘hillbilly’… or ‘Manassas’ and ‘poor’… or ‘Manassas’ and ‘bigot’… or ‘Manassas’ and ‘ugly.’ Then Google the collective terms ‘Manassas’ and ‘gay’. The simple fact is that Manassas is associated far more widely with the words redneck, hillbilly, poor, bigot and ugly, than it is with the word gay. What are any of you doing to lessen the negative associations with our town that have a genuine basis? In fact, you seem to luxuriate in the other characterizations, which you do so much here to further. You fail to see why poor immigrants are attracted to Manassas… it is cheap to live here relative to anywhere else in suburban northern Virginia… we have lousy housing stock and espouse the ultimate American lower middle class world view (live cheap, and that’s about all there is to it).
Greg… Will you please stop deleting the great majority of my posts, since they don’t contravene your rules?
I believe there was one the other day, but unless my spam filter is acting up I can’t imagine how a great majority of your comments are getting deleted. If this continues, and you feel something is wrong, please email me the comments that aren’t showing up and I’ll see if I can figure out if there’s some adjustments I need to make.
