Virginia ACLU Embraces Communism

By Greg L | 23 March 2007 | Illegal Aliens, Virginia Politics | 2 Comments

Ever wonder what the ACLU of Virginia is up to when they’re not viewing rape films of underage teenage girls? Why, they’re helping to improve America, by participating in conference calls with the National Immigrant Solidarity Network in order to help facilitate “Decentralized Multi-Tactic May Day” events this year. I knew these folks were a little looney, but I never figured them to be outright communists.

Yes, I took some time to listen in on their rambling conference call today. It’s fascinating to hear how folks think that a guest worker program doesn’t go nearly far enough to ensure justice for migrants and actually enslaves participants in the program. I’m amused that they hope to have Senator Leahy introduce legislation that would permit homosexual “partners” to obtain legal residency in the same way that spouses are currently permitted. It seems that we’re not allowing enough HIV-positive immigrants into the country, either, which is a real stunner. Fortunately there were only about a dozen folks on this nationwide organizing call, so I imagine it’ll be a bit of an uphill battle for them to get their legislative agenda enacted.

Hope Amezquita from the Richmond office of the ACLU was the only person identifying themselves from Virginia on the call, so I imagine the events in Virginia will be somewhat underwhelming. How unfortunate. I wonder what decentralized multi-tactic event the Virginia ACLU is organizing down in Richmond this year, and whether the ACLU will openly identify themselves as the key organizer of May Day in Richmond.

Will we be seeing a “Demonstration in Solidarity With Gay Undocumented Partner Immigrants with HIV”, brought to you by the ACLU of Virginia? Someone should invite Lowell.

First of all, it is clear that you don’t know anything about immigration law from your posting. Second, the group with the highest growth in HIV infections is African-Americans, not homosexuals, so maybe we should not let any black people in the US either. Third, what does Communism, or the working class taking over the means of production by revolution, have anything to do with letting in homosexual partners into the US? Take a class in political theory before you make postings perhaps. Don’t use big words if you don’t know how to use them.

I guess you must have missed the conference call.
