New Virginia Blogger

Joe Graziano, candidate for the Republican nomination in the 28th Senate District, has unveiled his new campaign website. On blogger. That’s right, instead of actually mounting a campaign he’s joined the Virginia blogosphere with a strange site where he blogs in the third person while posting press releases under his own name. It’s one of the stranger things I think I’ve ever seen in Virginia politics, but it does qualify as fiscally conservative, since blogger is free.
Unfortunately for Mr. Graziano blogger may only be used for personal, non-commercial uses, and it’s quite likely that his first act as a candidate has been to violate the terms of service for his website hosting. He also fails to provide the disclaimer required by Virginia election laws about who paid for and authorized the website, making this one heck of a two-fer. Nice way to start a campaign, trying to see how many rules you can break right out of the gate.
I really appreciate his go-get-em attitide with comments like this one, though:
Joe Graziano has officially announced his candidacy for the 28th. BVBL will see how incorrect his Election Watch prediction is. Check out the blog for the official announcement.
That’s certainly going to put fear into the heart of front-runner John Van Hoy. I don’t think I’m updating my election watch page quite yet, though. I think I’m going to wait until this campaign completely falls apart before removing Graziano’s name.
UPDATE: The person operating the blog is claiming that they’re not actually Joe Graziano, but just a voter who supports his candidacy. Perhaps.

I’m not sure that is Joe writing it. I didn’t see anywhere that it was him. This person has been posting comments on Virtucon about this campaign, too.
Wow, what a genius! Are you a super sleuth? You should stick with your day job whatever it is. I am simply a Virginia resident who wants Joe Graziano to run. That simple. The grassroots still exists believe it or not. Can private citizens encourage people to run for office? By your logic, it wasn’t Lowell Feld who tried to draft Webb but actually Webb who started the “draft Webb” campaign. I think we should investigate Webb.
Well…at least he did not violate the UCMJ
Oh, you are incorrect, he has indeed violated the UCMJ at least once. Check it out here:

Z, that pic isn’t even Joe.
Well not sure who is writing it either but a post on the Mason Conservative seems to put that to rest. Below is a “cut and paste”
Iraq war veteran Joe Graziano has entered the race for the 28th. Check out my blog for the announcement.
Seems to me the term “MY” announcement blog solves the problem on who is writing it, for me anyway.
Graz…..proff your writing to make sure of you are in the correct person before hitting….”submit”….just a suggestion.
