VA AG Responds To Nutbag Threats

In response to reports that a group of despicable idiots may attempt to pull some sort of stunt at the Virginia Tech memorial services, Virginia Attorney General Bob McDonnell’s office has sent out a press release that cites Virginia Code § 18.2-415, under which the prevention of, or interference with the orderly conduct of a funeral or memorial service is a crime. It’s pretty clear he means business, since it seems that the law enforcement community is standing at some state of alert after learning of this threat. Actually, I think the attorney general might need to cite a different law, the one against murder.
Because if nutbags start showing up in Virginia and try to protest these funerals, there are going to be quite a few dead nutbags. At least it will be convenient to have them dispatched in close proximity to where their remains can be disposed of.
Fred Phelps and the rest of his collection of embarrassments would be wise to give these memorial services a wide berth.

Patriot Guard Riders are on the case. I just received an email from their Mid-Atlantic Chairman. These guys are good. They were at the funeral of a friend of mine who was killed in the line of duty last summer. Incredible group.

Greg- Do you have the contact information for the Patriot Guard Riders Mid Atlantic Division. I think a few might be ready to assist the Patriot Guard to keep this disgraceful nuts away from the funerals here in NOVA.
AG McDonnell’s website doesn’t show that press release. Is there any info anywhere about Virginia law enforcement plans to preempt Phelps and his band of losers?
