Rally In DC

By Greg L | 19 April 2007 | Illegal Aliens | 5 Comments

Tentative details have been released regarding the possibility of having transportation available for Sunday’s rally in DC in support of effective laws to combat the presence of illegal aliens in our communities. Buses will be available in Northern Virginia between 1:30PM and 2:30PM, and attendees would arrive back at the pickup points at about 6:30PM. If there is enough demand for a bus run from Manassas, there’s still possibly enough time to arrange that. If you drive yourself, the rally is in Lafayette Park from 3:30 to 5:30.

From the FAIR website:

Our focus for this year’s Hold Their Feet to the Fire will be tell new congressional leadership that there is strong and widespread opposition to any proposal that includes increases in guest workers, expansion of government mandated immigration, and amnesty for illegal aliens.

If this sounds like something which shouldn’t require an effort in order for legislators to understand, remember that democracy is not a spectator sport.  Sometimes the obvious gets lost on Congress.  Please tell your friends and family, and come out on Sunday for a couple hours to let the politicians know how you feel and get some sun. Don’t miss this opportunity.

I just sent this message today to my two Senators, Representative, Governor, and two State Legislatures. Please do something similar. We shall see if I get a response from any of them.

It has become apparent, based on the irresponsible legislation concerning Illegal Immigration that is cropping up, that many of our elected officials in government do not want to listen to what we, the American people, want. Per our Constitution, our government is here to serve us (the people). Not the other way around!

Can you please explain why the quote from President Theodore Roosevelt in 1907, which is the summary of what being an American is, is not being upheld?

“In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American…There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag… We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language… And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”

Irresponsible Illegal Immigration legislation is causing our “United” States to become splintered! The American public wants to STOP this NOW! Our country has strayed off course from what our founding fathers originally planned! To get us back on track, I respectfully request that you listen to the American people and vote in the following manner:

    1. No to any kind of amnesty to illegal immigrants. They must be deported now!

    2. No to any kind of benefits to illegal immigrants and their families (with the exception of treating a person in the event of a medical emergency).

    3. No to citizenship for babies born to illegal immigrant parents.

    4. No to any kind of Social Security benefits to illegal immigrants.

    5. No to any kind of bi-lingual initiatives. This is America, we speak English! This is a major cause of the splintering of our country!

    6. Yes to English as the official language.

    7. Yes to heavy penalties to companies that employ illegal immigrants.

    8. Yes to the border fence initiative.

This is what legal American citizens want to get us back on track to being a United States!

Support Presidential candidate Tom Tancredo. He is the only politician that wants to take real action against illegal immigration. Here is where Tom stands on issues: http://www.teamtancredo.com/issues1.asp

    Wanda,
I am very sad to hear what happened to your son. That is very tragic and highly preventable if our elected officials would take care of business when the people speak! Our Constitution states that we the people are in charge! Not the politicians. We the people need to start communicating our concerns in a major way and NOT accept anything other than what we the people state we want! Contact your Representative, Senators, Governor, State Legislatures, and local politicians. This is what I plan to keep on doing! I want action not lip service! I want action NOW not later! Enough political correctness already!

I plan on attending the rally but don’t want to drive. So let’s get enough people together to take the bus.

Greg- I believe you said if there were enough people, someone would supply the bus for us free of charge. Is that a true statement?

What’s a few hours out of your day compared to what our elected officials will do if our voices aren’t heard on this subject.

COME ON EVRYONE!!!!!!!! This is your chance to really do something, not just bitch.

Put me down on the list as someone who would like to go by bus.
