Ham Sandwich Challenges Ebert To Debates

By Greg L | 27 April 2007 | Prince William County | 13 Comments

This is too good to pass up: Ham Sandwich is challenging Prince William County Commonwealth Attorney Paul Ebert to a series of monthly debates. Will Ebert step up to this challenge?

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – Republican write-in candidate for Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney, Hamilton “Ham” Sandwich, Esq., has launched his new campaign web site. The site, located at http://www.votehamsandwich.com/, provides voters with background information on the candidate, his rationale for running, a critique of his opponent’s record of failure in the job, information on the write-in process and a list of endorsements among other items.

Unlike the current office holder, Paul Ebert, whose campaign does not yet have a web site, Sandwich is not afraid to engage in an open discussion of the issues with the public.

“I believe that the people of Prince William County are best served when they are well informed,” Sandwich said through a statement issued by his campaign. “Paul Ebert’s failure to do so can only be explained by the long list of failures he has compiled while in office ranging from his failure to win a conviction in the Lorena Bobbit case to the rampant cronyism in his office to the incompetence of his staff who have had a number of cases tossed by judges on account of having let statutes of limitations expire.”

“Ebert’s sole accomplishment, the conviction of the D.C. sniper, was such an open and shut case that even he couldn’t foul up. When supporters of mine noted that I could have won that conviction as well, I knew it was time to step up to the plate.”

In keeping with his commitment to open government and his Jeffersonian conservative ideals, Sandwich has issued a challenge to Ebert to engage him in a series of one-on-one debates between now and Election Day – one each month.

Ham, a Virginia native, is a member of the Virginia Bar (Golden Phoenix division) and a partner in the law firm of Dill & Gallinger. He is married and lives with his wife and children in the City of Manassas.

Look, Ham Sandwhich better watch his mouth…all he has to do is say “Eat Me” and Ebert would probably try to charge him unlawful carnal knowledge.

Think Ham Sandwich will run a cheesy campaign? Might
find himself in a pickle when the chips are down.

I’ve heard rumblings of a possible scandal involving Miracle Whip on a blue dress.

I hear ya, Big Dog, not so sure Ham Sandwich will be able to cut the mustard.

I’ve heard rumors about Ham Sandwich taking part in a rally to support halal meats illegally imported into the country and that the chairman of the local cold cuts committee is being paid under the table to hide some dirt about Ham Sandwich and an underaged grilled cheese, though Ham Sandwich is claiming the payments were for setting up his Web site.

Of course, Ham could only be made with good old
    American wry bread.

I’m hearing a few more rumors on this race that might be worth sharing…

Several fairly prominent, but anonymous political strategists may be interested in helping out in this race.

Offers have been received to donate campaign materials.

A campaign theme song is being developed, and perhaps there will be video productions for this campaign. It’s looking like it’s going at least to YouTube, and there’s a possibility commercials will air on cable television.

Ham can, and will, cut the mustard from the looks of things. This is getting big, fast.

BREAKING NEWS - The Jabba at DOJ that
is in charge of their HARASS MANASSAS program is very
upset with Ham on the local political menu - Ham is seen as
highly insensitive to certain minority groups - a possible
Boss Hog personality. Unity protest, FOIA demands,
and lawsuits are in the works. P.W.F. (Pigs Without
Fences) plans to wallow in this at the next council
meeting - they are promising to make our tails curl.

You know, I’d really hate to see this “feel good” campaign go negative like all the others that we see today. I believe that Ham is a breath of fresh air that is badly needed, but I think that Dillon “Dill” Pickle may be too sour and might be taking it in the wrong direction. I think Ham should really consider some people like, for instance, Tator Chips or Colonel Mustard to take the helm so that we can all rally around Ham in the spirit of actually having a choice…and not the lesser of two evils either.

Ham Sandwich For PWC Commonwealth Attorney…

I don’t have a vested interest in who is running for Commonwealth’s Attorney in Prince William County.  But this does raise an interesting question on my part.
What little politics I do blog about, are generally Virginia as a who…
