Jihadist Plot Against Army Base Foiled

By Greg L | 8 May 2007 | Illegal Aliens | 10 Comments

Six people were arrested today on charges of plotting to attack American servicemen at Fort Dix, NJ. Among the alleged plotters were three illegal aliens, and two permanent residents. If anyone is under the mistaken impression that the illegal alien problem is in any way directly linked to latino immigrants, hopefully this story will clear up such confusion. This is a problem that includes Islamic jihadists, low-skilled labor from a host of countries around the world, and every sort of criminal you can imagine. The only thing that connects all of these people is that they have violated the law in coming here.

Six Islamic militants from Yugoslavia and the Middle East were arrested on charges of plotting to attack the Fort Dix Army post and “kill as many soldiers as possible,” authorities said Tuesday.

In conversations secretly recorded by an FBI informant over the past year, the men talked about killing in the name of Allah and attacking U.S. warships that might dock in Philadelphia, according an FBI criminal complaint.

“This was a serious plot put together by people who were intent on harming Americans,” U.S. Attorney Christopher Christie said Tuesday. “We’re very gratified federal law enforcement was able to catch these people before they acted and took innocent life.”

I spent a lot of time at Fort A. P. Hill here in Virginia. That base is used for training primarily by reserve component soldiers, and is at least as difficult to secure from attack as Fort Dix. Quantico Marine Corps Base adjoins a huge swath of Prince William Forest, and is similarly very difficult to secure. Unless we decide it’s a good idea for trainees to conduct extensive combat patrols near the limits of military reservations on an indefinite basis, we better start thinking about more effective interior enforcement of immigration laws. Leaving illegal aliens with a near-complete degree of freedom of action within the United States clearly can result in very tragic consequences.

There are good people who break the law and bad people who break the law? I don’t know, I’d tend to think criminals are criminals, no matter what they look like or what language they speak.

The Egyptian, Jordanian and Turk were here legally. The Yugoslav brothers were here illegally.

You gotta love the Muslim sense of gratitude. We liberate Kuwait, send troops and aid to Somalia to save tens of thousands of people from starvation, bomb the Bosnian Serbs and Serb proper to save the Bosnia and Kosovar Muslims, send more military forces and aid to Indonesia after the tsunami, and this is what we get.

What elected officials supported Timothy Mcveigh? Were elected officials calling for amnesty for him? I don’t think so.

Every person who comes here illegally knows they are breaking the law. Every person who overstays a visa is breaking the law, and knows it.

If Faisal Gill had been the Director, Government Relations for Timothy McVeigh I don’t think he would be running. But because fewer people know who the imprisoned terrorist Abdurahman Alamoudi is Gill’s work as the chief lobbyist for Alamoudi’s American Muslim Council is less of a problem for him.

Gill thinks he can snow people with claims that he didn’t know what kind of an organization the now defunct AMC was.

Not all muslims are terrorists, but almost all terrorists are muslims.

I have to wonder, if the three Muslim Yugos were facing deportation hearings, during the 15 month investigation which led to the arrests, would Gill have represented them? Afterall, he, and his firm advertise this kind of work.

My sister and her husband are at Mcguire AFB which is beside Ft. Dix. The pizza shop that one of the suspects worked at is 1/4 mile from her housing unit, and she recognized him because he had been on base many times before. I heard on the news that they were stopped at least 12 times for various reasons, but because they were in “sanctuary” cities no checks were run on them. Sanctuary cities are actually allowing terrorists to operate and will eventually be one of the tools that allows them to strike us again.

Is it strictly coincidental that THEY too (like the “reckless driver”) had a dismal driving record??
