I hope everyone remembers how the Fairfax Board of Supervisors treats taxpaying citizens when election time comes around. The supervisors are part of the elite who don't have any concern for the day to day problems ordinary people face. We get taxed more in order to , among other things, provide support to illegals. We and our children suffer the consequences in education, healthcare and public services. Everyone needs to take a stand. NEVER FORGET!

Though what I am about to say was not concerning Illegal Aliens (it was the homeless), I think it was a great idea. Back in the 90s there were two mayors of neighboring towns in California. One had a homeless problem (they were everywhere on the streets), the other did not. The mayor of the town that did not have a problem was a liberal who kept saying how evil his counterpart was in the other town.

Well, the second mayor finally had enough and erected a sign outside of the city limits of the liberal mayor which read to the effect, "Welcome to ??? [sorry, cannot remember the name of the town]. All welcome, especially homeless."

Needless to say, ALL the homeless left the one town and went to the other. Soon, the liberal mayor was ballistic because crime started to go up, homeless were EVERYWHERE, etc. Maybe we should do something like that. Or...just round them up and send them back home. The cost of the plane ticket HAS to be cheaper than the cost to the taxpayers now.

According to Sen Cuccinelli, the police will have at least some zoning enforcement powers beginning on July 1. Apparently, the illegals overcrowding the facilities have been able to thumb their noses at the authorities, but at least some of this might change.

Then again, I guess there are no illegals overcrowding houses in the Mantua neighborhood of Fairfax, where Connolly lives.

What always amazed me was how Fairfax County was able to provide funding for the illegal alien labor center in Herndon, or whatever it was called, while they couldn't get the gate fixed at the Sully Police Station before the two officers ended up being killed. Now THAT should be an issue!

And if you think we have it bad in Fairfax, I hope you checked out the editorial in the Washington Times this weekend about how Maryland is just kissing up to CASA.

Fairfax, Arlington and Alexandria haven't had to deal with illegal immigration and the associated overcrowding because of a lack of affordable housing. They have isolated cases; we have it in every community with regularity. Meanwhile, Manassas, Manassas Park and PWC not only have cheaper (almost affordable housing) that provides a bigger cost advantage to over-crowd, but in many cases have bent over backwards to encourage growth at all costs. Here's a thought; how many illegal aliens will the new "housing facility for economically disadvantaged" going in next to the Manassas Police station hold? (can a special use permit for US Citizens only be issued?) We (via groups such as HSM) need to continue to fight for whats right so that illegal aliens will either flock back east to the liberal havens or move further west.

Is there any wonder why the outer 'burbs are growing? While the elected officials of the Fairfax County seem to not want to address the issues that does not seem to be the case with the people who live in the County. The best part of the article was to hear from the admitted liberals complain about the problem. I just love the juicy irony of it all.

I read this article and thought much the same. An ex-girlfriend of mine lived a couple doors down from a similar situation in Fairfax County, with (we counted them) seven different cars in a townhouse community with limited parking. The garage was converted into an apartment. Plenty of people complained, and absolutely nothing happened.
