Faisal Gill Posts A Resume
By Greg L | 14 May 2007 | 51st HOD District | 24 Comments
The published agenda for the May 15th meeting of the Board of County Supervisors includes as an attachment Faisal Gill’s resume, in which we finally see documented the duration of his employment with the American Muslim Council and the Islamic Free Market Institute. From the resume, which apparently hasn’t been updated since Faisal formed Gill & Gallinger:
AG Consulting April 2001-October 2001
Provided lobbying and legal services to various non profit groups. Acted as spokesman for several Muslim groups on 9/11. Set up meetings and briefings between members of Congress and Muslim community and Bush Administration. Assisted Muslim groups in setting up their governmental relations departments. Developed post 9/11 public relations and lobbying strategies for Muslim groups on dealing with Congress and Administration.
AG Consulting was run by a Mr. Asim Ghafoor, who is now Faisal’s law partner in Gill & Gallinger. This is how the Senate Finance Committee describes Mr. Ghafoor:
Mr. Ghafoor has worked (primarily as a spokesman or attorney) for, with or otherwise in association with individuals and groups whom the United States government has stated are involved in, or suspected of, supporting terrorism:
- Global Relief Foundation (GRF), whose assets were frozen by the Treasury Department in December of 2001;
- Committee to Free Rabih Haddad, an organization supporting Mr. Haddad, who was deported last year and whom the Treasury Department called a senior official with and co-founder of GRF, as well as a member of the Makhtab al-Khidamat (MAK), a precursor to Al Qaeda that was designated as a foreign terrorist organization
- Care International in Boston, allegedly affiliated with Al Kifah Refugee Center, whose Brooklyn branch was named by prosecutors as the origin of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing; and
- World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), an organization incorporated in Falls Church, Virginia by a nephew of Osama bin Laden, whose offices in Northern Virginia were raided by federal agents in June of 2004, and whose offices in Pakistan were raised in November of 2001
Mr. Ghafoor was the one of the defense attorneys for Al-Haramain Islamic Foundation, a Saudi charity that ended up becoming an NSA wiretapping case. Ghafoor worked for the Friends Of Charities Association at the time, of which the IIRO and the Muslim World League are members.
Mr. Ghafoor is on record for advocating the imposition of Sharia law on the United States, and refers to non-muslim Americans as “Kafirs”:
The Islamic voice is the true voice of Islam. Islam is to call to all of Islam. It’s not just to say, ‘well Islam taught us to obey the law of this land’. No. Islam told us to not obey the creation in disobedience to the Creator. Allah says to rule by what Allah has revealed. Allah says Kafirs are not supposed to have a way over us. We must obey Islam in all aspects of life, including politics. Voting for a person who would not rule by Islam or follow Islam in any way, shape or form, that is going against Islam itself.
So now we know that Faisal Gill began his efforts as a lobbyist and spokesman on behalf of the American Muslim Council sometime on or about April 2001. Had someone done “due diligence” about this potential employer, as one would expect an attorney to do as a matter of course, he would have learned this:
Consider this public statement Alamoudi made at a meeting of the Islamic Association of Palestine, a Hamas front organization, on December 29, 1996:
“I think if we are outside this country, we can say, oh, Allah, destroy America. But once we are here, our mission in this country is to change it. There is no way for Muslims to be violent in America, no way. We have other means to do it. You can be violent anywhere else but in America.”
In 1991, a mere year after forming the American Muslim Council, Alamoudi attended the largest gathering of Islamic militants ever held in the United States, sponsored by the United Association for Studies and Research, widely considered to be the voice of Hamas in America. Among the conference’s distinguished guests were members of al-Jihad and the Islamic Committee for Palestine, an Islamic Jihad front, as well as a slew of other radical leaders, foreign and domestic.
Alamoudi called the deportation of U.S. based Hamas leader Musa Abu Marzouk for his involvement in several terror attacks in Israel, an “insult to the Muslim community.” “I know the man, he is a moderate man on many issues,” Alamoudi told the Washington Post. “If you see him, he is like a child. He is the most gracious person, soft-spoken. He is for dialogue.” Dialogue, perhaps, such as this gem from an interview with Marzouk in Beirut’s Al-Ahd in 1994: “First of all, martyrdom is the goal of every Muslim, and death represents the ideal wish of the Mujahad on the land of Palestine.” How gracious. How childlike. How kind indeed.
Alamoudi could be cruel himself. In a wiretapped conversation made public in the recent criminal complaint, he praises a 1994 bombing in Buenos Aires. “The Jewish Community Center. It is a worthy operation,” Alamoudi tells an unidentified man, in Arabic. “I think that the attacks that are being executed by bin Laden and other Islamic groups are wrong, especially hitting the civilian targets. Many African Muslims have died and not a single American died. I prefer to hit a Zionist target in America or Europe.…I prefer honestly like what happened in Argentina.”
Alamoudi also gave an impassioned defense of the terrorists who plotted and carried out the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six people and left a crater five floors deep. “I believe the judge went out of his way to punish the defendants harshly and with a vengeance, and to a large extent, because they were Muslims.”
On October 28, 2000, Alamoudi boldly addressed a cheering crowd in Lafayette Park, near the White House: “I have been labeled by the media in New York to be a supporter of Hamas.… Anybody support Hamas here? (Cheers) Hear that, Bill Clinton? We are all supporters of Hamas. I wish they added that I am also a supporter of Hezballah.…I want you to send a message. It’s an occupation, stupid….Hamas is fighting an occupation. It’s a legal fight.”
When these comments were reported in the Washington Post, political contributions were returned, and Alamoudi was forced to take a back seat in the AMC. By all accounts, however, he remained in control and kept a busy schedule. According to the SITE Institute, “In January 2001, Alamoudi attended and was photographed in Beirut at a terrorist summit, alongside representatives of the terrorist groups Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hezballah, and al-Qaeda.”
But Faisal Gill had no idea. When he was running the public relations show for the AMC in the immediate aftermath of 9-11, here’s what he had the AMC say:
If the crack research team at the FBI had looked at the AMC website in the aftermath of September 11, however, this is what it would have found under the heading, The Law Says You Don’t Have to Talk to the FBI: “The FBI is looking for information to use against you, your family and/or your community. The FBI has a history of harassing and harming minority and immigrant communities. Some people are spending a long time in jail because they or their friends talked to the FBI.…FBI agents are trained to get you to make incomplete or contradictory statements — which later can be used against you in court. It is better to say nothing.”
Nice work, Faisal. That should have been referenced in your resume.
UPDATE: Redstate asks “should we be concerned?” in reference to Faisal Gill’s candidacy. Maybe this helps to answer that question.
UPDATE 2: Why is Faisal Gill trying to hide his association with donors connected with Raani Corporation, a Chicago-area cosmetics manufacturer? Stay tuned for more on this…

Most savi muslims who came to the USA learned to avoid those muslims with violent connections, not work with them. These types turn on their own quickly.
Even in the USA the violent muslims enforce loyalty to their cause with the use of violence including death.
One could make a mistake and work for a month or two, but to stick around with questionable types starts to become a problem.
Here’s something that is left off and hasn’t got much press. Seems that Faisal has a problem getting people from the 51st, at best, Woodbridge, at the least, to donate:
(Source: http://www.vpap.org)
$10,000 Khan, Saleem A (Woodbridge, VA)
$6,000 Gill, Rashid S (Alexandria, VA)
$5,000 Bashir, Junaid (Woodbridge, VA)
$5,000 Citgo - Franconia (Springfield, VA)
$5,000 Gill, Ahmad Nadeem (Martinez Branch, GA)
$5,000 Sir Inc T/A Shiney’s Sweets (Annandale, VA)
$2,000 JBS Title (Springfield, VA)
$1,000 Akhtar, Hanif M (Vienna, VA)
$1,000 Anjum, Ehsan E (Baltimore, MD)
$1,000 Gill, Naveed M (Fairfax, VA)
$1,000 Grove Dental Clinic (Falls Church, VA)
$1,000 Jaffrey, Samira (Annandale, VA)
$1,000 Janssen, Richard (Alexandria, VA)
$1,000 Lateef, Babur (Woodbridge, VA)
$1,000 Nationwide Limo Service (Alexandria, VA)
$1,000 Nova Eye Center (Winchester, VA)
$1,000 RNS Bedford Park (Bedford Park, IL)
$1,000 Shaikh, Shabbir (Alexandria, VA)
$500 A&T Heating & Air Conditioning Inc (South Riding, VA)
$500 Amerpak Inc t/a Goddard School (Waldorf, MD)
$500 JCW Co Inc (Fairfax, VA)
$500 Nationwide Funding Corp (Fairfax, VA)
$500 Rizvi, Manzar (Leesburg, VA)
$500 Tameez, Iftikharuddin (Houston, TX)
$500 Tameez, Qamarunnisa (Houston, TX)
$300 Bokhari, Adnan Sharif (Springfield, VA)
$250 Diwan, Sharfali (Houston, TX)
$250 Tyebji, Abeezar (Houston, TX)
$200 Farouk, Shahid (Gaithersburg, MD)
$200 Khwaja, Faheem (Houston, TX)
$200 Lodhi, Tariq (Fairfax Station, VA)
$200 Mohiuddin, Imran (Sugar Land, TX)
$200 Sanm & Sams Inc (Centreville, VA)
$200 Siddiqui, Assadullah (Annandale, VA)
$200 Sing, Varinder (Houston, TX)
$200 Suleman, Muhammad (tbd, VA)
So, why is there an interest in Sugar Land, Texas and Waldorf, Maryland in the 51st??? And how about $5000 from the Citgo gas station in Franconia? Is THIS why the price of gas is so high??? How about Bedford Park, IL???
It’s nice to see that Ms. Lucas, on the other hand, not only has a good number of Woodbridge supporters, but I do not see any Special Interest Groups to whom she may be accused by the opposition to be beholden.
For the record, I have no problem with INDIVIDUALS donating money from outside the jurisdiction, because the State Senator will vote on bills directly affecting ALL Virginia taxpayers. But, when an individual is from another state or it is an out-of-state business (RNS Bedford Park [Illinois], Amerpak Inc t/a Goddard School), you seriously have to wonder if they have the best interests of the Commonwealth at hand.
I would like to point out to the Board of Supervisors that the stated duration of Gill’s AMC/AG Consulting employment on Gill’s resume is inconsistent with Gill’s statement that Alamoudi was on the AMC board when Gill was at the AMC.
Alamoudi officially left the AMC in 2000, but is believed to have remained in a leadership capacity. Either Gill is lying about when he started working for the AMC, or else Gill has confirmed that Alamoudi remained in a leadership capacity at the AMC after a torrent of bad publicity forced Alamoudi to pretend to leave.
If Gill was aware that Alamoudi was secretly still at the AMC then Gill should explain why he participated in this cover up.
I am not a PWC resident. Would I be able to speak before the PWC board tomorrow? If not and I wrote out a presentation could someone else deliver it?
Nonresidents are certainly allowed to speak. We regularly see nonresident illegal alien apologists address the Board.

Come on, James, you just GOTTA jump on John Light for THAT “smear”!!!!
It looks to me as if the Board of County Supervisors, led by the Gill endorser Stewart, could easily approve Gill at the 2pm session in order to prevent us from making our concerns known about when Gill worked for or on behalf of the imprisoned terrorist Alamoudi.

Supervisor May is the one appointing Gill, and it is halfway through the agenda. I suspect that the Gill supporters are intentionally setting it up to suppress public objections to Gill’s appointment.
Hey freedom…when did posting FACTS become a smear?? Or is it that you cannot handle the truth???
Also, though YOU may “swing” that way, I can attest that neither Jim, nor myself, will be “jumping” on each other!!!
Jonathan,
I doubt there’s anything unusual going on in regards to the timing of this agenda item. This is pretty much the standard way that appointees are announced.
As a follow-up to the doner list above, I have looked on Google, the Better Business Bureau website, as well as the whitepages for Bedford Park, Illinois, and there is NO business by the name of RNS Bedford Park anywhere. On VPAP it was reported that it is a Manufacturing business, but either they are out of business, they have ZERO web presence, or, it’s a front organization for laundering money to the Faisal Gill campaign, I really do not have an answer to that.
If someone from the Faisal campaign has an answer to this, please let us know so that we can wrap this up and it become a non-issue. Maybe provide a phone number since, even though it is a business, it’s not listed in the White Pages under “RNS Bedford Park.”
Also, in my travels across this great Commonwealth, I have been to many towns, both big and small. But never have I been to tbd, VA. If anyone can tell me about this quaint community, I would love to visit there someday at a date TBD
Freedom - I have JUST reread your post and realize that I may have stepped overbounds. If your comment to Jim was with the air of sarcasim (which I read at second glance), then please accept my apologies.
Well John, I agree with you, facts do not constitute “a smear.” It does seem though John, that in the mind of James, ALL facts concerning Faisal are a “smear.”
I agree with Greg. However, if the Board of County Supervisors wanted to give the public the opportunity to comment on Faisal Gill’s work at the American Muslim Council they could schedule the nomination in the evening.
This is not a minor matter. Abdurahman Alamoudi is serving a 23 year sentence for serious crimes. Maybe the Board of County Supervisors do not know the extremist nature of the American Muslim Council during Gill’s tenure there. Or maybe the Board of County Supervisors DO NOT CARE about the extremist nature of the American Muslim Council during Gill’s tenure there.
I think that Stewart et al are aware that Gill is not being forthcoming about his American Muslim Council employment and what he knows of Abdurahman Alamoudi. If permitted to speak in the evening I could point out the contradiction between the various statements:
(1) Gill started working for the AMC in April 2001. (Gill assertion in resume)
(2) Abdurahman Alamoudi was on the AMC board while Gill was there (Gill assertion in Mason Conservative interview.)
http://masonconservative.typepad.com/the_mason_conservative/2007/05/faisal_gill_in_.html
(3) Alamoudi left the AMC in 2000 (AMC claim)
(4) Alamoudi remained in control of the AMC after pretending to leave (Immigration and Customs Enforcement affidavit.)
http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/98
TBD = To Be Determined
Nice.
The more we look the worse it gets.
Freedom, I do agree with you but let’s not just point fingers at Jim, it seems that ALL Faisal apologists are like that. Everytime I look at your post, I just laugh that much harder (again, I am sooo sorry for reading it wrong the first time) because it is oh so true!!!!
Mitch, yeah, I know, but I must say that it is VERY interesting that we have an organization that does not exist and a doner who won’t give his residency. What exactly are they trying to hide???
Julie has a website up where you can see her bio and also her list of endorsements. She has far more state delegates and senators than Gill. I was surprised to see she had so many.
http://www.votejulielucas.com
Gill has a pattern of omission but worst of all he doesn’t seem to learn from his mistakes. Gill walked away from a felony charge for this, and yet again, he has failed to disclose accurate employment information. Wouldn’t his current employer Gill and Gallinger be of importance to disclose to the Board of County Supervisors? IGNORANCE IS NO EXCUSE OF THE LAW, and this is even worse than ignorance, it is out right disrespect of our Chairman, BOCS, our county government and citizens.
Chairman Corey Stewart should be absolutely embarrassed to be associated with Gill, yet his continued failure to admit Gill’s flaws will serve Sharon Pandak the chairmanship on a silver platter this November.
You can always count on Republicans to be at the poles on election day but if a candidate is perceived to have done them wrong they will unite in their decision to withhold their vote.
Maybe the reason Gill walked away from the felony charge was because he knew that if he drove, he would get a speeding ticket - lol
Someone needs to go to the Board of County Supervisors meeting and ask why Gill has filed an inaccurate or incomplete resume:
(1) It does not mention Gill and Gallinger.
(2) It does not mention the American Muslim Council, referring instead to generic Muslim organizations.
(3) The start date for the AMC/AG Consulting work is inconsistent with Gill’s interview in the Mason Conservative. In that interview Gill defended his dealings with imprisoned American Muslim Council founder Abdurahman Alamoudi, claiming that Alamoudi was on the board of the AMC.
But Alamoudi was last on the board of the AMC in 2000, when Gill claims that he was not at the AMC at all. So why was Gill dealing with Alamoudi at the AMC?
This is a serious matter. Alamoudi is serving 23 years. He had $340,000 in a suitcase, and was hiring hit men to kill the Saudi crown prince. Moreover, Alamoudi had expressed support for the bombing of the AMIA Jewish community center in Buenos Aires in 1994, calling it a “worthy operation.”
Alamoudi also urged Muslims to strike “Zionist targets” in the Western hemisphere. Note that Alamoudi was an equal opportunity murderer, since the $340,000 was for killing a fellow Arab.
IS COREY STEWART GOING TO SWEEP THIS ALL UNDER THE RUG?
This Stewart guy is as bad as Ken Cuccinelli. By the way, someone should ask Cooch why Cooch refuses to return a $700 contribution in 2002 from Taha J. Al-Alwani of Herndon (outside of Cooch’s district.)
Al-Alwani was an undicted co-conspirator in the Sami Al-Arian trial. Al-Arian is now in jail after a plea bargain.
Cooch claims that Al-Alwani and his other Safa/Al-Arian contributors committed no crime. So what? Al-Alwani gave money to Al-Arians Islamic Jihad front group.
Al-Alwani also issued a fatwa stating that jihad is required to liberate Palestine. It is not even optional in the mind of this $700 Cuccinelli donors.
This is an open challenge to ALL of Faisal Gill’s supporters, tell us, give us bullet points (not hollow points, for the love of God, *, or 1) please) WHY Faisal Gill, who has NO legislative record, no voting record whatsoever, but has more dirty laundry than a house of ill repute, tell us, please, WHY Faisal Gill would make a good, no, great member of the House of Delegates.
Tell us how he will work along side his Democratic collegues and pursuade them to vote “our” way. Tell us how he will fight to roll back illegal immigration. Tell us, please, why we should NOT believe http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=faisal+gill
What makes this man who has questionable ties to known terrorists, wait, let me stop for a second. I have to admit to you, the reader, that I personally know people who have killed others. Some with guns, some with bayonets. But the difference between what they did and what Faisal’s cronies did is that MY friends were all serving in the United States Armed Forces at the time and we were at war. The same CANNOT be said of Faisal’s friends.
Is this race a race against two good candidates and it is OUR choice to decide who will be the standard bearer for the Republican Party? Or, is this a race for our lives, people. Yes, I said it. Faisal’s supporters have sold their soul for this guy. They have turned their back on someone (Ms. Lucas) who has worked TIRELESSLY for the Republican cause. They have turned their back on someone who has KICKED A-DOUBLE-S on the School Board for someone who believes that speeding tickets are no big deal when in the middle of a campaign. For someone who has friends like Al-Alwani and other Safa types.
Please, look at the donor list of BOTH candidates. Mike Wooten asks, “Are you voting against Faisal because he is Muslim?” Well, Mike, I ask, “Are you voting for him because he IS Muslim???” Ms. Lucas’ Donor List is a diverse list of people from all walks of life and I would bet every single person on that list could hold a security clearance.
Frankly, I am disgusted by the way the PWCGOP has treated the ONE PERSON who can win the 51st and instead sold their soul for what, $14,000??? Don’t gloat IF your candidate wins, you did everything in your power to ensure it. But when JULIE wins, we ALL will be the victor. Please, all who read this and live in the 51st, I ask you, go to http://www.votejulielucas.com/51stConvention.shtml, fill out the form, give Ms. Lucas a call and someone, maybe even her, will be on your doorstep to pick the form up.
Voting for Ms. Lucas is not just the Right thing to do, it is the “right” thing to do.
[Ed note: typos corrected at poster’s request.]
At least Julie has a proven record in working very hard for the people she represents - as Neabsco District Rep to the School Board. Her most recent position was as Vice-Chairman - the Board has a huge task of getting the best out of our students, and Julie’s record reflects the hard work that she is doing. Gill on the other hand has another mission - that of representing the interests of the scores of out-of-district contributors to his election fund. Do we want a rep for the 51st district who has a proven record or a relative sleaze ball whose interests lie outside of the district, except perhaps Chm Stewart who has screwed things up as best he can in the short time he has been on the BOCS.
