Next, We’re All Kafirs, I Suppose?

The DC Examiner picks up the story being promoted by NovaTownHall, among others, about public universities making special accommodations for Muslim worship using taxpayer dollars while excluding Christian activities from campus. It’s gotten so bad that some universities are even banning any celebrations of Christmas.

For example, last year administrators at the Minneapolis Community and Technical College banned a coffee cart operator from playing music “tied to Christmas,” but approved the use of tax dollars to install special basins for Wudu so that Muslims could ritually wash their feet before prayer. College President Phil Davis defended this glaring double standard by absurdly insisting that “the foot-washing facilities are not about religion, they are about customer service and public safety.” At least a dozen other public colleges and universities in the nation have also installed Wudu facilities, including George Mason University in Fairfax.

I can’t imagine any of us being proud of this. No, wait. Maybe I can.

UPDATE: Brian Ledbetter of snappedshot, a senior at GMU, had this to say about events at GMU recently:

I’m a GMU student for the past 4 years, and there’s definitely a slow progress towards the campus being Muslim. First, they installed foot washing basins in ALL of the bathrooms of the central Student building.  The “ecumenical” prayer areas were slowly taken over by Muslims, and any students not conforming to Muslim beliefs (i.e., no shoes, no women) were removed from the PUBLIC area. Then, the campus went through the effort of getting Halal food served… and are repeating the effort again at my expense, considering the last vendor couldn’t be bothered to be ISLAMIC enough to be “Kosher…” or meet the health code requirements.

NOW, the ISLAMOFASCISTS want THEIR “public” prayer area expanded to take up most of the third floor (my favorite haunt!), taking away room from the public STUDY area.

Is this a school? Or is it an Islamic Outreach?

Funny how liberals are tolerant of Religion in the public domain when it is not Christianity.

At UVA in the 1980s, and today, the Hillel (Jewish) and Newman (Catholic) organizations had their own facilities near campus where people could participate in ritual activities. If the people who are giving money to Faisal Gill wanted to they could fund similar facilities for Moslems comparable to those for Jews and Christians.

Then there would be no need for taxpayer funded ritual foot purification facilities at universities, just as there is no need for taxpayer funded kosher food preparation facilities at universities.

One step at a time. Slowly take over the education institutions, then the political process, then industries one at a time. Then do away with the Constitution and install sharia law. All of the above without firing one shot.

The DC Examiner contacted me today and asked me to post a link to this particular story. I did so–at the many sites to which I have posting access.

GMU has partnered with UAE for various programs. Looks like the partnership is Islamifying GMU instead of Westernizing UAE.

The students at GMU are not any happier about this entire thing than ya’ll are, I happen to be one, and I know I’m not, and there’s a lot of discussion on on the GMU SGA forums about this very topic.
