Help Save Virginia Beach
By Greg L | 19 May 2007 | Illegal Aliens, Virginia Politics | 2 Comments
Yesterday a group of concerned citizens gathered in Virginia Beach to hear from some of the leaders from various groups combating the illegal alien problem in Virginia. (see also “Help Save Hampton Roads?“) According to PilotOnline, the parents of the two girls who were killed by a drunken illegal alien about a month ago were in attendance, as well as about fifty other residents. The outcome of that meeting is that a steering committee has been formed in order to form a new member of the Help Save Virginia network, and additional organizational meeting will soon be announced.
From the Pilot:
James Quash of Suffolk said he would get involved, “if anything, to make our politicians do what they need to do. We’re sick and tired of it.”
Colette Tranchant, who carries a picture of her with Alison and Tessa, said their deaths were caused by a series of broken laws that have to do with both drunken driving and illegal immigration. Both she and David Kunhardt said they would be interested in getting involved if a group were to start here.
The Hampton Roads area, Harrisonburg, and Northern Virginia are particularly affected by this problem, and for too long organizations supporting the illegal aliens have dominated the press coverage and citizen’s time in various local governing bodies. That seems to be rapidly changing, and will shift the legislative debates at the state and local level in significant ways. It may also begin to impact the national debate, which is definitely encouraging growth in these grassroots efforts.
Anyone who votes for the current amnesty proposal being considered in the Senate is going to not only fuel membership in these organizations, but draw the ire of a growing number of organizations devoted to holding elected officials accountable for such outrages. Let’s hope they’re paying attention.

Warner voted for the last amnesty. He needs to be dumped like yesterday’s garbage.
Warner won’t be dumped because he never is. He is always against what the average VA citizen wants but yet keeps getting voted back in. In 6 months or so none of these save ‘insert city name here’ chapters will matter any more because they will all be given amnesty just as we all knew they would be. Buenas noches todos!
