Not Day’s Day

William Day, who is running against Delegate Scott Lingamfelter, has as many candidates do a page on the Virginia Public Access Project that provides an overview of his campaign and links to his financial disclosures. It also helpfully provides a link to his campaign website. But wait, is that really his campaign website? With those swirly things?
Or did he just get pwned?
Also of note William Day was apparently at the Warrenton town festival this weekend handing out his business cards instead of campaign literature. When asked why, his answer is reported to have been “I don’t want to give Scott Lingamfelter any ammunition.”
Huh? You don’t want to hand out campaign literature because you’re concerned your opponent will tear you to pieces with it? What the heck is he planning to get printed, that he enjoys engaging in pagan rituals involving barbecued puppies or something?
UPDATE: I guess folks at VPAP read blogs, as the “campaign website” for William Day has been removed. In a way that’s too bad, as it would have been pretty funny, but it’s probably just as well that VPAP doesn’t promote obvious spoof sites.
