Jonathan,

Ok, thanks for setting the record straight so forthrightly - and even more so on your Web site by reprinting in full my castigating comments about what you wrote. Lots of bloggers certainly would not have done that.

Question: If you have any sincere concern about the problems caused by illegal aliens in our state, why in the heck are you maintaining that site? Cuccinelli is one of the few really good ones representing the interests of citizens and we are in danger of losing so much if the illegals and their advocates are not turned back.

SB 1045 and HB 2926 are in fact identical. That explains what happened to SB 1045.

Jonathan ... you should really crawl back under your rock now and go back to writing on your meaningless and ineffective goodbyeken.com blog that probably has all of 5 readers. It's a shame you can't get your facts straight!

Jonathan is embarrasing himself does not know what he is talking about. I'm going to post about this shortly, but as the above message indicates an identical bill (HB 2926) WAS voted on in Courts and Justice and Ken Cuccinelli was one of the 4 of 11 that voted for it. Ken had a perfect voting record on the illegal immigration issue.

Jonathan,

Have you actually called up the Senate of Virginia clerk's office yourself to figure out what happened with Jay's bill? You'll notice that it was left in Committee by Ken Stolle, the chairman and not even taken up for a vote.

I think that might be because it was folded into another piece of legislation that was identical that came over from the House of Delegates or something. I used to work as a legislative assitant in the Senate in Richmond, and that actually happens alot. And also, because this wasn't Cuccinelli's bill and because there's not much information on the State legislative site about what actually happened that day in committee, it might take Cuccinelli a while to dig up notes and talk to other members on the committee as to what happened with that bill.
Also, don't be so quick to say that Cuccinelli is refusing to answer you. Why would he bother to honestly spend that much time on you when you are running the blog goodbyeken.com and are gunning for him at every chance you get? Also, I don't believe you are a constituent of his either, at least you haven't said as much yet, so again, on the list of Ken's priorities, you are far down on the list.

I can also assure you that if Ken Cuccinelli had the opportunity to crack down on illegal immigration legislation that made sense and was overall good public policy that he would jump on it. Attempting to paint Cuccinelli as soft on illegal immigration is laughable at best.

Jonathan, Cuccinelli, whatever perceived faults he may have, is one of the best legislators in Richmond on the issue of illegal immigration.

Jonathan,

What you failed to mention is that you in fact are running the website slandering Ken Cuccinelli.

The fact is Janet's record speaks for itself. Last year being the only member of the Fairfax School Board to oppose a six percent increase in education spending, as it wasn't enough.

This whole thing wreaks of irony I don't know where to begin. First, did you replace the k with an x at the end of your last name. Second, the great experiment failed, and we all know that. So why is Janet's campaign embracing it? Staff starving because their isn't enough money to go around, yet I thought Janet was doing very well in the fundraising department... Hmm...

Janet and Johnny Marx wreak of socialism, and I don't like that smell.

One reason for low wages is the plethora of illegal aliens around here. Unfortunately Oleszek's opponent Ken Cuccinelli refused to cosponsor Sen. Jay O'Brien's excellent SB 1045, which would have authorized local police forces to enforce immigration laws.

Not only did Ken Cuccinelli refuse to co-sponsor SB 1045, but it was left in his Courts of Justice committee this year without ever coming up for a vote.

There is no evidence that Ken Cuccinelli ever lifted a finger to bring the bill to a committee vote. He seems to have been happy to leave it there.

I have contacted Cuccinelli's office to try and find out what happened to SB 1045, but his office has not responded.

If I am wrong and Cuccinelli in fact supported SB1045 and tried to bring it to a committee vote then please correct me.

Perhaps some Cuccinelli supporters can find out what happened to SB 1045, which he did not cosponsor, in Cuccinelli's Courts of Justice Committee. He doesn't answer me when I ask.

In the meantime if you want to complain about low wages, complain to Ken Cuccinelli. The illegals Cuccinelli protected by not bringing SB 1045 up for a vote are driving everyone else's wages down.

There are three strikes against Ken Cuccinelli.

STRIKE ONE is that Cuccinelli endorsed Faisal Gill.

STRIKE TWO is that Cuccinelli accepted $700 from the radical imam Taha J. Al-Alwani, an unindicted co-conspirator in the Sami Al-Arian trial, a major donor to the convicted terrorist Al-Arian's Islamic Jihad front group, AND the author of a fatwa requiring Moslems to liberate Palestine via jihad.

STRIKE THREE is that Cuccinelli refused to support SB 1045.

You know, in baseball it is three strikes and you are out. It ought to be that way in Virginia politics also.
