Hill, Caddigan Crush

Glen Hill won 61% of the vote, beating Mike Messier (21%) and Jim Fotis (18%) with 2.8% turnout.
Maureen Caddigan beat Charles Brewer 81%-19% with 6% turnout.

It will be interesting to see who gave Brewer the $20K that he allegedly received and cross check them with who else they have donated to.
Some commenter on an earlier thread today predicted 60% for Hill. Oh wait, that was me. Being right gets so old…
Today was a great day, although not nearly enough voters got out….the citizens spoke loudly, again! I was at Hill’s victory party and he was so very appreciative of the citizens, his staff and his family for their support!

I have been told that Maureen invited Pandak to her party and had her introduced. Is that true? Is she going to pull another endorse-the-Democrat like she did against Connaughton in ‘99? It would be interesting to see if there are common donors between Pandak and Caddigan.

mark my words- glendall hill is in litagation for not paying any real esate tax. How does he afford a 1.7 million dollar home near lake manassas making 130000 a year plus his wife’s teachers salary. A police check came up with this information. This will be top news in the next weeks.

Their I was a little fuzzy from the pains of my wounds. I became aware of the haze of the operating room. I started to wake from my medical induced coma, the battle had been hard the war was worse. I could feel the nurse holding my hand as my eyes started to focus. I was aware of a round blob next to me with tubes and medical equipment running in and out of it. The noises of the emergency room filled my senses, but as I looked to the left another blob just a different color, same medical equipment. When I was able to talk I asked the nurse, What are they, she replied oh my dear they are the political hopes and dreams of a Fotis and a Messier. You see on June 12 they learned that the people decided that they should just fade away, even our Honest Man truth serum injected by Doctor Gun lobby and prescribed by Doctor Stoffregen couldn’t help revive them. They are so sick that we cant save them and just have to wait until they slowly fade away.
The nurse brought me around that’s when she whispered in my ear yes Super Trooper
The best man won and the others just fade way.
Just goes to show you the people are very smart, a not so honest man and a gun nut can’t survive in a professional world or a civilized county like ours.

Of course, I must admit that I was getting a bit worried when I started hearing about the exceptionally low turnout around the County…that doesn’t generally bode well in a three-way race, but Glen pulled it off. CONGRATULATIONS GLEN!!

First off if you are going to make up your evil lies…do a better job of connecting them together. I have never heard of litigation equated with real estate taxes. Nor have I ever seen a “police check” reveal someone who has or has not paid real estate taxes. I am sorry that your candidate lost and miserably at that, but come on is it necessary to continue to your throw lies around! Even Stoffregan admitted defeat unlike someone else???????
I am very happy the Hill won, and won big. I am also impressed by how well Fotis did. He ran a minimal campaign, and I never saw a single sign or bumber sticker, yet he finished within 2 points of Messier. If Hill choses not to seek re-election in 4 years, I hope Fotis will run again. He will have time to build ties to the local community, establish himself with the local party units, and position himself for a successful run.
THe BIG LOSER here is Mike “I like Lee” Messier. He ran a very negative campaign, spent a ton of money, and his missteps early on made him look like a political light-weight. I am glad to see that voters still see the connection he has to Stoffy.
Mike…carry your but back to Fairfax. Don’t go away mad. Just go away!
Did anyone else notice the polling station signs stating the requirement to present official ID in English AND Spanish?
Ding dong the witch is dead. All you haters out there can go hate somewhere else. If IP is reading, I just want to say thank you for all your efforts. You made Hill’s victory all the sweeter. It just goes to show you that being a good man pays in the end. Hill weathered all the rhetoric and lies. His win just affirms what we have said all along. He is a good leader! People like “Anonymus” are angry because they backed the wrong horse and can’t get that job they were promised.
I agree mostly with what you say BB. With the exception that Fotis should run in the future. His camp and their ehtics (or lack there of) concern me. If the likes of Ted and Jeff are who Fotis surrounds himself with, we can only surmise that his upper brass would be comprised of Larry Mo and Curly. I think a man like Fotis need not consider politcs in this county.
Anon 11:45 — Careful. You’re seriously crossing the line there. I guess you have no idea what years and years of hard work can get you. The real estate tax issue was Stoffy crap thrown in the last election. He attacked on it, then the press found out he was late MORE often on his taxes.
Also, let me explain how one can get a house “assesed” at $1.7 million in Lake Manassas:
1) A hard working couple who has over 70 years combined working non-stop (A combination of public service that includes military, police departments, and county government positions — 30 plus years each — one in public safety and one in teaching).
2) Good children who also work very hard and have always been self-sufficient.
3) Lived modestly for many, many years and built up equity in their former home in the City of Manassas.
4) Good speculation. Got in on pre-construction prices befor the prices shot up there.
Now…it’s time to stop all the smears and lies. Maybe you can find another county to your liking (if you even live here).
Once again, the voters in Prince William have spoken.

I must take exception to that, BB. If you recall, I promised Ted Deeds that I would do everything I could to see to it that Fotis DID NOT gain political traction in PWC, and I don’t make those kind of promises lightly…nor do I break them.
All candidates probebly learned something;
Hill - being good is OK , but people need to know about it
Messier - You don’t have the right stuff, and you shouldn’t lie
Fotis - in local politics, never underestimate the intelligence of the voters, and don’t lie
Who ever the next guy is - he should learn from this also ….
It must frost the PWCRCs leadership cabal that their recruitment efforts to unseat Maureen failed. I wonder if Stewart thinks he will get any sympathy from her on any issue near and dear to his heart?
