Maureen Wood, I encourage you to meet Chris Royse. He is a class act. We need someone with his background and experience serving on our BOCS.

Chris served in the National Guard. His expertise in public safety is significantly valuable to future decisions relating to First Responders and Emergency Preparedness in our County.

I'm really glad to hear that about him. To many politicians say one thing and do another.

I was at a luncheon today that Chris Royse also attended. He was speaking to a woman who was telling him about her daughter and son-in-law who were victims in a crime that occured in Woodbridge that nearly took their lives. The criminal was an illegal immigrant that had been deported once before.

I saw the look on his face, I listened to his words, and I will tell you this is a man who is a true leader. He is running for office because he genuinely cares about people and wants to make a difference. He understands the negative impact of ILLEGAL immigration. He will support immigrants who come to this country legally, but if you break the law he's coming after you.

Chris Royse is the real deal, he isn't a political junky seeking power or influence. Chris is former FBI, Green Beret, past Chairman of Bio-Technology for the Northern Virginia Technology Council.

He is fearless, honest and will stand up and lead. Prince William needs Chris Royse!

Greg,

All I see is someone who is saying they will commit to ensuring the laws and statutes are enforced. Anyone can and will say that to get elected. What people in this area need to hear is if candidates will introduce laws and ordinances to alleviate the impact illegal aliens have on our communities.

I am by no means saying that he won't do that, as I don't know him at all. What I am saying is, that we the people must be careful about how the illegal immigration issue is presented to us this election year.

Rishell tried to pull a fast one last year with this. Thankfully people found out she really didn't want to do anything about illegal immigration at all.

"We are a nation of immigrants and laws, in that order."

Hmmm ... that one is going to require some cogitation ...

OK, here goes ... I think candidate Royse has it backwards. The law must be pre-eminent in my opinion. And if the laws are just laws, then legal immigrants will be welcomed, while the illegal ones will be dealt with accordingly.

If people come first, then what is the purpose of the law? The laws, and their enforcement, are what keeps society from coming apart at the seams.
