Sorry Freedom...I'm already committed to a campaign. We're getting ready to get Hamilton "Ham" Sandwich really geared up. This will be one for the local history books. ;-)

Well, if memory serves, the Membership Chairman serves at the pleasure of the Chairman. That having been said, I would agree that the notion of a Spring Gala was probably not such a hot idea. Hindsight is always 20/20. But it was a new idea, an effort to do more. Are we now going to condemn every one who steps forward to lead for every new but failed idea to build the party? Oops! Yeah, I guess here, we are.

As for attendance, 88 out of 155 current members is not at all unusual, from an historical perspective. Anyone who says otherwise is either ignorant or a liar. It is no more or less than usually attend any meeting, particularly since attendance requirements --- one meeting out of three, per the State Party Plan --- are so lax.

The Ideologues (Far Right) have gone too far. Stewart, Kopko, McQuigg, Fitzsimmonds, Lingamfelter, ...we're coming after you!

These egocentric Ideologues were bought by Gill, a Democrat who deviously exploited the far right. He is pro Sanctuary, immigration/amnesty and Sharia Law! Gill stole the election, he is a thief.

Mike May and Michelle McQuigg could have stopped it but didn't. That's voter fraud. You're finished in PWC.

Let's support our pragmatic Republican's who are running for office; Caddigan, Nohe, Covington, Lucy Beauchamp, Julie Lucus and Jackson Miller.

PANDEK is nothing to write home about, but she can't possibly do as much damage in PWC as STEWART is capable of doing.

Stewart is a self serving Ideologue who is barking orders at the Committee, forcing Gill down our throats, and driving a Republican agenda. He has done a horrible job in his first term. Other than raise our taxes, he hasn't done anything else.

, immigration, his wife is an illegal alien!

Kopko is too ALL important. He loves the limelight, even if it's negative. He has a love affair with himself, and can do no wrong....... According to him.

Everything Kopko has done for the GOP has been to HIS benefit and no one elses. He doesn't care who is hurt in his antic's as long as his name is out there. His interest in the Republican party is only what it can do for him, not what he can do to help the Party.

Get rid of him as the Chairman of the PWCGOP Chairman!!!

As stated on another thread, the 51st Convention has been little more than a manipulative effort that has hurt Julie, and in the end, will hurt Corey and Michelle...and with some support, will "hurt them" enough.

Tom Kopko has bullied people to fit HIS view of what's right, long enough. What happened to Republican integrity?

After the appeal process ends, the litmus test with GOP voters will be based on how the Committee responds. There is no question that if Kopko tries to sweep the 51st convention under the rug, and the Committee fails to take action that our Republican candidates will lose volunteers and votes by abstention.

Bearing in mind some loss to Independent votes, the “anybody but” factor, nonparticipation, lower voter turn out than in last years special election, and the GOP’s closest to Kopko are in trouble. Just look at the VPAP reports, I'd say they are already feeling the pinch.

Greg, Kopko should be unseated much sooner...perhaps, after the appeals process is concluded? In that event, the process will be different.

At the conclusion of Kopko's term, which should be sometime around next March, there will be a convention which will select the next chairman. It will be subject to the same sort of delegate pre-filings, credentials process and election as you'd expect from any convention, and will probably look and feel a lot like we've seen from other conventions over the past year.

It will take massive numbers to unseat him.

Greg L.,
In an election for a unit chairperson, is the vote open to all Republican's including members and non-members of the committee?

This isn't a committee issue, it's an issue with the committee of one. The One, being Kopko, that appears to be intentionally delaying Julie's appeal.

Kopko seems to have a pattern when trying to work with women. Karen Ulrich walked away a quarter of the way into his term, Lucy claimed to be treated unfairly, and appears that he has conspired against Julie to remove her by prematurely giving Gil the Republican endorsement.

I think Bryanna is right. Kopko needs to resign, or those Republican candidates closest to Kopko may be in big trouble this fall.

Good for Julie for sticking with the Party!

Tom's made a series of bad decisions when he publicly supported Gill over Lucas prior to the 51st Convention, worked for the Gill campaign, and he refused to hand off the proxy for Chairman to someone else after the conflict of interest ($2,000.) was made public.

I heard that the Membership Chair was one of several Executive Committee members that did take him to task in a closed session meeting regarding the 51st., but didn't have two thirds support to temporily remove him from office on a 30 suspension.

What I find interesting is that if you go to the PWCGOP website it STILL shows the information for the gala, yet, on the day of the convention Mr. Kopko was so VERY quick to post and proclaim Faisal the winner even though the Honorable Julie Lucas had not conceeded the race due to a pending appeal which was quickly made yet Kopko has YET to rule on.

VERY SAD that Mr. Kopko is so selective in the website updates. He obviously has 2 watches, one watch that runs fast (declaring Faisal the winner) and one that is measured in dog years (hearing and acting on Hon. Lucas' appeal).

I wonder if Kopko is a dem in disguise. At least it appears his thrust is to run the committee in the ground. The only candidate that relies on him is Gill and he won't be around after November.

Can the Loudoun and PW County Republican Committees please get their acts together and stop the hemmorhaging?
