Message on the Observance of Independence Day, 1986, Ronald Reagan
July 3, 1986

"What was the secret that emboldened a loose confederation of some two and a half million settlers on the Eastern rimland of the New World to challenge the might of the most powerful colonial empire on earth?
Quite simply, it was the courage and the vision of our Founding Fathers. They seized the unique historical moment Providence had placed within their grasp. Determined to protect and guarantee fundamental human rights, they felt called upon to bring our nation into being.

In order to give that new nation shape and direction they drew freely on the riches of the Judeo-Christian tradition with its central affirmation that God, not chance, rules in the affairs of men, and that each of us has an inviolable dignity because we have been fashioned in the image and likeness of our Creator. The Founding Fathers established a nation under God, ruled not by arbitrary decrees of kings or the whims of entrenched elites but by the consent of the governed. Theirs was the vision of a striving, God-fearing, self-reliant people living in the sunlight of justice and breathing the bracing air of liberty."

Yes! Rep. Gutierrez proposed HR 1557 to grant her amnesty on July 3 - spread the word! Check out the history of Ms. Arellano on Wikipedia and you will see the oft-repeated behavior of breaking the law by crossing the border into our country, using false documents for work, producing an anchor baby and demanding amnesty. We don't want to separate the illegals from their anchor babies; nothing prevents them from taking their children back to their country of origin to keep their families together, and to request to come here legally. God bless America!

Attention…Attention….
Start contacting our Reps. and Senators to oppose HR 1557: For the relief of Elvira Arellano.
Here is the message I just sent:

"We the People would like for you to oppose H.R. 1557. Legal U.S. Citizens are fed up with our government trying to sneak in amnesty legislation for illegal aliens. If this were approved, it would send a message that law breakers get rewarded for their actions! Please oppose this bill and start the deportation process!"

If this thing passes....it will set the stage for anyone wanting amnesty to get it. We must stop this like we did the Senate Amnesty bill! Action must be taken now. Calls, e-mails, faxes are in order!
