Bill Bolling On Illegal Aliens
By Greg L | 8 July 2007 | Illegal Aliens, Virginia Politics | 14 Comments
Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling seems to be getting the message that in the wake of the Senate’s failure to propose anything but a sad joke for resolving the illegal alien issue, there are things that can and should be done at the state and local level to help limit the impacts on Virginia residents. Since the Washington Post thinks state and local solutions are not a good idea, I’d say every indication is that Bill Bolling is right on the money here.
While Congress fails to act, states are forced to do what we can to address the issue on the state level. While the primary responsibility for immigration rests with the federal government, there are things we can do in Virginia to help address this problem.
We can require the governor to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) to allow state and local law-enforcement agencies to enforce civil immigration laws. This would enable our state and local police to arrest and detain illegals when they encounter them, rather than releasing them.
We can make sure that illegals in Virginia are not receiving the benefits of citizenship. While we have already acted to take most of these benefits away, we still allow the children of illegal immigrants living in Virginia to pay in-state tuition at our colleges and universities. That should be stopped.
And finally, we can pass our own laws holding Virginia employers accountable for knowingly hiring illegal workers or knowingly failing to confirm their immigration status prior to hiring them.
It looks like some of our elected officials “get it”. While they do, hopefully we can demonstrate to those in Washington that if they’re not going to do what it takes to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, we will. At least in that respect the Washington Post got it right. As long as Washington continues to fail us, the battle to control the number of illegal aliens in the country will be fought at the state and local level, because there really isn’t any other option than surrender.

Thinking that I could again expose Bill Bolling’s hypocrisy in endorsing illegal immigration law firm partner Faisal Gill, I paid another visit to GillGallinger.com’s Law Specialties and Practice Areas page at
http://www.gillgallinger.com/practiceareas.asp
Interestingly, the link to the description of Gill and Gallinger’s expertise in immigration is gone. There is simply a dot and a blank space.
However, the old “Immigration Law attorneys, Gill and Gallinger LLP” is still online, there are just no links to it. You can visit it directly at
http://gillgallinger.com/practice_immigration.asp
This page proclaims Gill and Gallinger’s willingness to file last-minute asylum requests for deportees, based upon U.N, not U.S., law.
I am asking that everyone download the “Immigration Law attorneys, Gill and Gallinger LLP page” before Gill figures out how HTML works and takes down this page.
In order to use this page against Gill through November there has to be a large number of people who have seen the page online and saved it to their hard drives. That is the only way to stop Faisal Gill from denying that the Gill and Gallinger immigration page ever existed.
So please, go to http://gillgallinger.com/practice_immigration.asp and, in your browser’s menu at the top of the page, go to File–>Save As and save the page on your hard drive.
It is concrete step that you can take to make certain that Faisal Gill, the former chief lobbyist for the imprisoned Abdurahman Alamoudi’s American Muslim Council, loses in November.
For the uninitiated, JM is a notorious crybaby and democrat…he is a broken record on the Faisal Gill candidacy and will still be whining the day that Gill is sworn in…he hates conservatives too, so take anything he says with a grain…no a dump truck load of salt…don’t be fooled. He could care less about any Republican, let alone Gill. He has no credibility…and needs to get a life.
Atriton through enforcement reall does work.

“”"JM is a notorious crybaby and democrat”"”
Classic attack-on-the-messenger argument. The poster does not dispute that Faisal Gill is a partner in an illegal immigration law firm. Anyone can verify that by clicking on the links I helpfully provide.
It really doesn’t depend on taking my word for it.
Back to the issue of what can be done on this problem of the decade at the state level, Oklahoma has passed a fairly comprehensive bill to take effect in November. It’s Oklahoma House Bill 1804. I recommend all interested to take a look at it and forward it to our State representatives, and especially pretty boy Attorney General It’s not My Job McConnell.
Too much name-calling here. If you have to name-call then it weakens your ideas.
Speaking of ideas, let’s say the cops arrest and detain illegals here in Prince William. Where on earth are they going to detain them? Last I heard, the detention center was overcrowded. Somehow the math just isn’t working for me.
No one is denying that we have an incredibly horrible situation with immigration here in the Manassas area. I am not so sure current ’solutions’ are really solutions though, if they cannot be enforced. Sounds great on paper…but……
With all the new enforcement, Gill is going to be very busy doing cases.
Seems to me that Jonathan Mark is just a conspiracy theorist trying to back up his skewed vision of how things work.
If you take a look at the page, and the page’s recent history, you’d probably see that a majority of the site content is being updated. Looks like the links on the first page are continually being populated.
(People do have to UPDATE things every now and again)
The people who keep bashing Gill about being some terrorist sponsor and being someone trying to bring in illegal immigrants whenever he can - need to have their heads examined. So what that he doesnt look American, so what he has a firm that will help people with immigration issues (the US system is over complicated)…get a grip, and a life.
Back to the matter at hand, Thank God one statewide leader has the balls to step up on this issue
“”"Seems to me that Jonathan Mark is just a conspiracy theorist trying to back up his skewed vision of how things work.”"”
There is no conspiracy here. Illegal immigrants hire Gill to help them delay or evade deportation. It is legal for Gill to do that. But don’t insult our intelligence by claiming that while filing asylum requests for deportees Gill is actually opposed to illegal immigration.
When illegal immigrants come to Gill and Gallinger for their free half hour consultation, do you think Gill tells these illegal immigrant clients that Gill opposes illegal immigration?
You wouldn’t know from Gill and Gallinger’s immigration page that Gill and Gallinger opposes illegal immigration. Gill’s law firm solicits business from illegal immigrants and offers to file belated asylum requests, based upon UNITED NATIONS, not U.S., law, for those about to be deported.
“”"If you take a look at the page, and the page’s recent history, you’d probably see that a majority of the site content is being updated.”"”
How am I supposed to see the immigration page’s recent history? Gill’s website doesn’t publish that information.
I have visited Gill and Gallinger’s immigration page regularly for quite a while. This is the first change I have seen. The link to Gill’s immigration page disappeared from Gill’s main page. All that was left was the bullet (probably an ) tag that used to be in front of the link to it.
“”"Looks like the links on the first page are continually being populated.”"”
Doesn’t look like that to me. You might want to explain why it looks like that to you.
“”"The people who keep bashing Gill about being some terrorist sponsor”"”
Gill was the chief lobbyist for the imprisoned Abdurahman Alamoudi’s American Muslim Council. Alamoudi is serving a 23-year sentence for Libyan terrorist money laundering.
“”"and being someone trying to bring in illegal immigrants whenever he can -”"”
Illegal immigrants are by definition already in the United States. Gill and Gallinger don’t bring them in. Rather, Gill and Gallinger keep the illegal immigrants that we already have here in the US. But only if the illegal immigrants and their families pay Gill and Gallinger to do it.
“”"So what that he doesnt look American,”"”
Gill looks very American. A very high percentage of us (e.g., Bill Bolling, Grover Norquist) are overweight. My brother lives near the Country Pantry buffet restaurant. The place is frequented by entire herds (families) of people with Gill’s proportions who stuff their faces with plateload after plateload of food.
“”"so what he has a firm that will help people with immigration issues”"”
Note the euphemism for “helps keep illlegal immigrant clients in the US, until the clients run out of money or the government stops trying to deport them.”
“”"(the US system is over complicated)”"”
These poor illegal immigrants. The system is so complicated that they don’t know that they are here illegally. They think it is normal to overstay one’s visa, sneak across the border at night, or pay someone $5000 to pretend to marry them.
Yes, that is the explanation for all of Gill’s illegal immigrant clients. The system is too complicated.

Not if I can help it…this isn’t a Republican vs Democrat thing….and it’s not a Liberal vs Conservative thing; the sole question is, “what’s right for our children and grandchildren.”
It’s unfortunate some of you just can’t see through the claims that he didn’t know what was going on within the organization that he was a spokesperson for…that as a Navy Reserve JAG Officer that he didn’t know about the restrictions upon use of the uniform in campaign literature….and that he didn’t know (time after time) what “speed limit” meant.
Why would anyone believe Bolling now, after his support for Gill? Sorry, he and the other Gill associates can start looking for other employment.

Solution:
Why not house them at The Fair Grounds on 234? Lot’s of room, plenty of fresh air…..
That would be my solution…
Bolling talks about the article himself on Charlottesville radio station WINA. Listen here.
