Is “The Fish” Another Closeted Gay?

TC is reporting on a poll being conducted by Lynn Chapman to test voter reaction to possible information that Delegate David Poisson is a homosexual who harbors illegal aliens. Is “The Fish” pulling a Bob Brink?
I strongly doubt this is a “push poll”, since that doesn’t usually work in this area, and it’s way too early for a tactic like that to be effective. If you’re going to “push poll”, you want to do this right before an election when your opponent won’t have time to react to the charge. No, the evidence would suggest this is a legitimate poll, and the polling firm is testing campaign themes that will be used in Lynn Chapman’s campaign, which is just starting to get into high gear. Smearing this as a “push poll”, when doing such a thing would be so entirely useless, looks like Poisson’s campaign trying to play damage control before the real information comes out.
It feels pretty desperate to me. My take is that Lynn Chapman feels he has solid information to suggest that David Poisson is engaging in some sort of homosexual behavior despite being married, and has unlawfully employed or sheltered illegal aliens. I’m sure we’ll be hearing more about this after the poll results confirm that either of these things, if true, would be devastating.
I wonder what’s worse, though: married men engaging in adulterous homosexual relationships, or harboring illegal aliens, which is a federal felony. Lynn Chapman’s campaign is going to be one to watch closely, and we may get a chance to find out.
UPDATE: Apparently this was a hoax by Poisson supporters. Here’s the skinny from Lynn Chapman:
“The allegations made in The Connection article by Delegate Poisson and his supporters regarding issues of illegal immigration and personal matters are 100% false. Our campaign has not and would not ever ask such offensive and inappropriate questions.
“Its unfortunate that Delegate Poisson has tried to use this completely false and untrue rumor to attack the character of our effort.
“Our campaign will remain focused on the important issues. We hope Delegate Poisson would do the same.”

I think everyone running for president except Mit Romney engaged in an aldulterous affair…………..Guess we have accepted that. Now we are supposed to accept homosexual aldulturous affair???
I wonder how many decent people refuse to enter politics because sleazy people have no problem publishing slander and innuendo as fact.
Breaking the law is worse than being a homosexual.
I seem to remember that when Poisson won his election, it was to some degree because homosexual activists across the state micro-targeted liberal voters through phone banking. Of course development issues overshadowed this effort, but in a fairly close race an effort like this might have made the difference.
I know gays really didn’t like Dick Black, but were they motivated to support Poisson in a positive way, rather than just being angry about Dick Black? Hmmm.
It is clear that neither the Chapman campaign consultants nor those employed by the House Republicans subscribe to the Code of Ethics of the American Association of Political Consultants.

The good news is that we know that this despicable “message testing” or push polling came from the Chapman campaign because Virginia law required the person/organization paying for the call to be identified before the call ended and the tag line said that Chapman authorized the call which was paid for by the House Republicans.
Your rumor mongering and name calling … and your willingness to publish personally and professionally damaging idle speculation and irresponsible gossip brand you as a person of little integrity deserving no respect.
Moreover, you are treading close to the “actual malice” and “reckless disregard of the truth standard” which would give even a public figure the right to sue you for defamation.
Next time you are sued, I wouldn’t be so sanguine about a positive outcome.
Remember, pride goeth before a fall, and your ego (and blind assumption of invulnerability garnered, I guess, from reading too much of your recent “press”) clearly has gotten the better of you.
What did the poll ask? That he refers to Abuser Fees as a cover charge?
I just think this whole thing sucks!!
Perhaps it was a homosexual adulterous affair WITH an illegal alien. Now THAT would be really big news!!!
You might want to explain that “Fish” line. I understood it because I misspent — given my practice, Spanish would have been more practical — my youth in French class. Your other readers might not understand the reference.
However, I don’t think that there is any question that homosexuals were behind Poisson’s candidacy.
Well of course gays supported Poisson over DICK Black, as did a a lot of other people DICK pissed off over the years. That does not make David gay. Ya can’t become gay by association…have to be born with the gene. Sorry.
I didn’t get it, Monsieur Letiecq. Of course! “Poisson” is French for “fish.” I had been thinking “Who is Mr. Fish?”
But what is “le tiecq”?
JY, you and your ilk on this site are truly pathetic.
Yes, we gays have so much control over everyone and everything that happens in the Democratic Party. It cracks me up when people insinuate such retarded ideas. The truth is that the Republican Party is the one that seems to enforce its way on its voters, members, and candidates. One of the reasons the Democratic Party is flourishing locally and nationally is that there is no authoritarian presence controlling us all, at any level.
Dave Poisson was behind Dave Poisson’s candidacy. Yes, we proud and righteous LGBT creations of God worked hard to beat back the Satan of Loudoun County. It remains one of the most exhiliarating races in Virginia’s recent political history, and nothing will ever beat the feeling many people had across the state that night, but especially those of us who were able to be there for Dave’s victory speech in Sterling. What a night. One of the greatest, except for possibly the amazing Webb victory that finally came in at about 12:15 AM…
“Le Tiec” or “Le Thiec” comes from the Breton “an Tieg” (pronounced an-tee-ag) means “the serf relieved of his obligations and set free by his lord”.
I’s sort of the Breton equivalent of “freeman”.
Poor, Doug! Incredibly earnest to the last. Pity it’s not directed at moral and clean living, as opposed to promoting perversion.
Greg, please delete that last comment from that sick MFer. They know where to shove the mouse (or other small furry creature) I’m sure.
[Ed note: request granted. With pleasure.]
[…] Some are even saying that Chapman asked these questions because there must be some truth to their implications, and further suggest that the Poisson campaign is “smearing” the questions as a “push poll” because they are in damage control mode. Ditto. […]
It also seems like the campaign is run by a bunch of illiterates.
“Its unfortunate that Delegate Poisson has tried to use this completely false and untrue rumor to attack the character of our effort.”
?? It’s Lynn. It’s.
Sad. Pathetic, really.
