I like it. That looks like Kaine at the 4th of July in Manassas.
HOw about one commenting on the representatives of the Party that brags about family values:
Gingrich at the hospital with his former wife dying of cancer and he cuts her off financially
Guiliani at the mayors mansion in NYC with both wife and mistress duking it out.
Then just photos of all the candidates and their current wivers, former wives and mistresses.
Yeah this is kind of cheap. The Republicans are just as bad or worse. Every problem that this country has right now has pretty much festered under the Republican’s watch. It’s time to scrap all these lamers and get some leaders that work for the people and not the corporations or the wealthy.
Ahhhhhhhh, another “wealth redistribution” guy!!
I don’t necessarily care for the Dems’ policies, but this ad is more than a little silly. The only real concern is Morrissey, after an assault conviction and disbarrment, getting elected in the 74th. Certainly his past antics color his image, as well they should.
However, riffing on Kaine for asking kids if they got enough candy at a parade is just foolish. It’s a far cry to call his leadership into question because he maintains that parents need to be more proactive in their children’s health and nutrition - which is undoubtedly true, and certainly preferable to government parenting - and then later is found to have asked kids if they got enough candy (to which the child’s answer will ALWAYS be no) at a parade. I rather expect someone who would make that point to stake out the Governor’s mansion on Halloween evening to make sure the Governor was handing out toothbrushes and floss, or apples, or shiny copper pennies, instead of M&M’s and Jolly Ranchers, lest he become the ultimate hypocrite. This is just a silly contrast, and pointless in the context of his leadership skills.
As for Mark Sickles, that’s just a dumb thing to say. Too dumb to say and stay in office? Maybe. Let the voters decide. It just goes to show you can say the right thing for the wrong reason. Clearly the death factor and the ruination of lives with drunk driving weighs more heavily that the financial factor for anyone involved. Saying otherwise is stupid - seriously stupid - but we don’t always get to keep stupid people out of office. Anyone who’s ever followed politics knows that.
This is just another reason to stick with principle over party. I might stand with the Republicans more than the Democrats when it comes to agenda, but party politics is worthless and it cheapens us all.
I don’t get it. I started liking it with the Morrissey stuff, then the message got all convoluted.
What a disappointment, no wonder the Republicans will lose the Senate this year.
With despicable candidates like Faisal Gill and Corey Stewart, and the corrupt Tom Kopko who was paid by Gill to steal the 51st Republican nomination, they will no one to blame but themselves and Jimmy Young on November 7th.
