The original Yorkshire is ancient. It was already here when I moved to this area back when dirt was forming on the earth. I think what you saw was the renovated Yorkshire. And you are correct, it did look brand new. But, you answered my question....that gives me a fairly accurate time frame as to when renovations took place.

Now I have another question: Are they going to tear down newly renovated Yorkshire or are they going to put a huge addition on it? Inquiring minds want to know.

I suspect that it will be an addition to accommodate all the new arrivals to that area in the past few years.

Dolph
When I came to PWC in 2001 I was under the impression that Yorkshire had just been built. As a matter of fact, I clearly recall the construction materials were still on site. It was at the time a shining example of our ability to catch up with demand. Only six years later, we need a whole new school. Are these costs been added to the budget as extraordinary? This situation has just been repeated with many other schools in PWC.

Was Yorkshire Elementary not renovated about 10 years ago? What is the real story here? This area has been hit extremely hard as a result of uncontrolled immigration.

Make a point of speaking to LEGAL Hispanic Immigrants, and they'll tell you Chesterfield County is the VA SANCTUARY for illegals.

Most illegals can't afford Prince William, and certainly not Fairfax. What does help to draw them here is something we're not talking enough about.

The message to HSM is that PWC must begin hunting down housing renovations being down without proper permitting for the purpose of providing low income housing tenements.

We must pass an ordinance IMMEDIATELY allowing only ONE FAMILY PER HOUSEHOLD. With all the foreclosures, we're going to see a surge in investment properties with slum lords who will exploit our lack of enforcement. This has always been the problem and things will get worse no matter how many Illegal Alien Resolutions we pass at the BOCS.

STEWART knows this is the truth, but it is his MUSLIM friends buying the property and converting them to low income multi-family dwellings, unlawfully. It is also how they BUY their voting privileges in our county.

Stewart is an ISLAMIC TERRORIST SYMPATHIZER; he is turning his head to the illegal immigration of Muslim's in favor of political favors. Is this who you want to put in charge of the county that you care so much about?

Are you beginning to see the light?

Sharon PANDEK would NEVER knowingly turn a cheek to this if she had evidence of this type of abuse. Don't be fooled.

On the subject of costs, here is a little nothing from the MJM this morning on exactly where our schools stand in PWC. I like the fact that it is emphasized that no "new trailers" were bought (thereby not costing any additional money?!) but they were "moved around". LIttle emphasis is given to the fact, as the article states, that a new school must be built, Yorkshire Elementary, and is deceptively termed a renovation. As anyone might evince from the article, we may have not solved the problem of overcrowding just yet. As I was suggesting, we are not going to know the real impact until we get some numbers from the schools. As always, the MJM makes much hay for those who try to minimize the impact of illegal immigration

I'm still trying to figure out how Mexicans sending money back to Mexico is of benefit to the U.S. as the apologists claim....

Sending half of one's paycheck to Mexico means less money circulating in the American economy and less purchasing power. It harms U.S. businesses. That's another indirect cost to communities.

monticup - for the same reason we still do business with Communist China. We treat those countries who TRULY do not have America's best interest at heart as MFN (Most Favored Nation) status in order to do business with them.

I wondered why Mattel had lead in the paint - thought we had outlawed that years ago...then I saw the toys were from China. Could you imagine if items WE shipped to China had the potential to kill Chinese children? Just like Mexico. Imagine the outrage if OUR criminals were told to go ahead and live free in Mexico (I know, many do, but I am talking about MASS migration of our criminals to south of the border).

I believe walking out on a bill is against the law.
Figures for the school system should have been included in this study even though we are required to educate illegal's. People need to understand the whole picture of costs associated with illegal immigration. One reason that we are building new schools is a direct result of the illegal alien population and the overcrowding situation in the area.

Once again, enough is enough.

Georgia is putting a tax on all wire transfers to Mexico, they passed that law last year. Good idea about billing Mexico.

Why can't the county bill Mexico for costs incurred by their citizens? Why can't the county put a tax on any wire transfers to Mexico, El Salavador, etc.?
