Chris Core Says Slam Connolly’s Phones

By Greg L | 23 August 2007 | Fairfax County, Illegal Aliens, Prince William County | 26 Comments

On today’s Chris Core show, Chris joined with Prince William County Chairman Corey Stewart in calling for Fairfax County Supervisor Gerry Connolly to participate in a regional effort to reduce the number if illegal aliens that reside in Northern Virginia. Chris read Connolly’s phone number and email address on the air, and is asking listeners to politely contact Connolly’s office and demand he extract his head from his posterior here. It’s also on the WMAL website.

This sounds like a good idea to me. If you’re a Fairfax resident, you can call Gerry Connolly’s office at 703-324-2321 and email him at chairman@fairfaxcounty.gov.  Chris is reporting that some people who have called Gerry’s office have been hung up on.  That’s real quality constituent service there, Gerry.  But call anyways.
On the show, Corey Stewart told listeners that Prince William deported 56 criminal illegal aliens in the first month of it’s participation in the Section 287(g) Program, and that calls in to his office are running ten to one in favor of the county’s recent actions.  In contrast, he reported that despite Fairfax County’s much-vaunted “task force” to crack down on residential overcrowding, only three prosecutions have been initiated for residential overcrowding in the entire county.

Gary Baise, who is running against Gerry Connolly this year, phoned into the Chris Core show, and gave a strong endorsement of Corey Stewart’s efforts.  In Fairfax, the choice this November between the candidates running for Fairfax County Chairman is going to be pretty clear.

Yes. 3 prosecutions and (according to the WaPo), “…31 other cases in which problems were remedied without court action.”.

There are also another 127 cases under investigation.

The Task Force has 10 people with an additional 10 requested.

Supervisor Kauffman (D-Lee) who has been complaining the most says the effort is overdue but “…I’ve seen real changes”.

Yesterday, the PWC police identified a suspect in a large scale weapons robbery in PWC.

Yesterday, a 59 year old man was robbed and carjacked in the middle of the afternoon in Manassas.

Yesterday, your neighbors in Masassas Park utterly rejected your approach to fighting illegal immigration.

Yesterday, you linked to numerous WaPo articles which you claimed to support your position against Fairfax County’s approach in general and Gerry Connolly in particular.

Today, the WaPo published an article entitled, “Progress Cited on Fairfax Crowding”. This article directly contradicts what you have been saying.

Maybe you should stay focused on Manassas.

I don’t know whether Baise or Connolly would make a better Chairman. They both have pros and cons.

But I do know this ….

You will not restart your personal “15 minutes of fame clock” in Fairfax County.

    Tick, tock, tick, tock

Sounds like Fairfax resident loves illegals and is pissed they may not be able to continue to take advantage of them much longer if the calls to in-action Gerry continues.

Are the Manassas Police going to let the arms suspect go? Of course not, so that is not a problem. The problem starts when illegals are let go by law enforcement who think it is not good PR to get tough on illegals.

I’ve also heard stories from other sources that Fairfax’s task force is a joke. Sounds good on paper though. I’m all for whatever works but to say “Yesterday, your neighbors in Masassas Park utterly rejected your approach to fighting illegal immigration.” is laughable.

I don’t know where “Fairfax Resident” lives, but I live in Springfield, Greg knows who I am, and I can say that Greg is spot on and needs to continue the good fight. It is so easy to say things like “I don’t know whether Baise or Connolly would make a better Chairman. They both have pros and cons.” yet not give any proof EITHER way. I have met Baise and personally like what I see and pray that he beats Connolly. Will he? I honestly don’t know because we DO have so many apologists out there like “FR” who are not willing to take a stand.

All you have to do is take a drive around Lee High School and the houses around Backlick Road to see that there definitely is a problem that needs to be addressed and SOON.

“”"I don’t know where “Fairfax Resident” lives”"”

My guess is one of the safe and highly segregated neighborhoods Tom Knott speaks of in his collumn today:

“There are few places more granola than the nation’s capital, where the denizens actually believe in the nut-job political messages found in the grocery aisles of Whole Foods, hold candlelight vigils for fallen trees and preach at the altar of multiculturalism from the safety of their highly segregated neighborhoods.”

Yeah, I read it in the WaPo so it must be true.. Guess some have not learned yet that the only thing in this paper to take at face value is the obits and ball scrores..

If Fairfax Resident is no enamored with illegals, he/she can have ours.. Or is it “The problem does not impact me in an apparent fashion so therefore it does not exist” mentatility..

Only when one lives amidst of the problem will they fully understand and appreciate the problem for what it is. Those in Fairfax live in gated communities with HOAs. Therefore, the only illegals they see are the ones potentially doing their yard work. Once the illegals start migrating to their town and living next door…we shall see what they say.

Mr Connolly needs to get over his DENIAL, and move forward like the PWCBOS. I want illegals to leave PWC, and VA all together. I don’t want them welcome in the next county.
    John Light
I’ve seen that very area you speak of recently, looks very familiar to spots in PWC. Have you signed that petition yet?
I’ve got a few words for Mr. Connolly..
“Head like a hole. Black as your soul. I’d rather die than give you control. Bow down before the one(FX legal citizens) you serve. You’re going to get what you deserve.”-”Head Like A Hole”-(NIN). I’ve left you message under “A case study in residential overcrowding” and “evil guns”.

Patriot writes “Those in Fairfax live in gated communities with HOAs.” - um, no gates in MY neighborhood but yes, there is an HOA, just like when I lived in Dale City (not too far from Dale City Elementary). My neighborhood is what one would say “diverse” but the class of people is upper, compared to the drug dealing/dog fighting neighbors I had. Mind you, the majority of neighbors were awesome and I miss them, but it was the few that ruined it for the majority.

Lafayette - thanks…work has been keeping me VERY busy, not to mention my boys just came back from Florida so my evenings are now dedicated to them :-) I would have it no other way. I will check out your posts and comment accordingly.

One lady spoke on Chris Core’s said “I’m the lady that they’ve hung up on three times”. This is inexcusable. When I was calling PWCBOS prior to 7/10/07, my comments weren’t well received by two supervisors. However, they at least had the common courtesy to listen too me. I’m sure glad I’m live in PWC, where my supervisor(John Stirrup) wants to do something about the illegal aliens in our county.

Why should Fairfax citizens listen to Chris Core? Does he live in the county? Talkshow hosts can do damage. Anyone remember when one of them FROM SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA, told the nation to call the Herndon Mayor’s office? The lines were full of foul speaking people from all over, and the system had to be closed down for 2 1/2 days.

Last I heard Chris Core lived in Montgomery County, Maryland. I’ve met him a couple of times and he’s a really nice guy. He is also one of the more calm and polite radio talk show hosts. Since he is a LOCAL talk show host, he covers a lot of LOCAL issues. He can’t just cover Maryland or DC with his radio program.

The funny thing is that Chris Core had been a political science major and was probably a lot more liberal. He is known for keeping good relations with politicians of all political stripes. Obviously, the excesses (or stupidity) of the left have made him more moderate, if not conservative. That being said, I would not characterize Chris Core as “extremely conservative.”

In the case of Connolly, his “task force” is too little, too late. If (G-d forbid) Connolly is re-elected, this task force will be quickly forgotten.

    Lafayette,

I sent you some “lovely” pictures from Fairfax County. I couldn’t get all I wanted but I think you will like the samples. I wonder how Fairfax Resident would like them. By the way the last picture - the house is actually cleaned up from when I last saw it. This is what Connolly wants for Fairfax County.

Let me know if you got them.

    Its easy friends:

    The Developers need cheap labor.

The Developrs give Gerry Connolly thousands of $$$ to bankroll his campaign and his machine.

Becasue Connolly is power hungry and wants to become the next Tom Davis in terms of power and popularity in Northern Virignia, he sold out to these Developers and their money.

So. . . . Gerry Connolly does every thing he can to keep the status quo.

That means the losers are Fairfax County, but when local government and local barons are controlling everything. Nothing will change unless someone steps up.

    Chris:

You are right. However, look at Gary Baise’s campaign funding on www.vpap.org. There’s what he personally contributed, an advertising company that does constituent polling and then … real estate and construction. Connolly has Real Estate / Construction as the overwhelmingly top source of campaign funds.

Baise appears to have less of an interest (so far) from the developers (i.e. Real Estate Construction) but it’s still a major sourse of funds for him too. And, if Baise runs close to Connolly the real estate and construction people will start pumping money to him as well. He’s already proven (with what he’s accepted so far) that he’ll take their money.

Are either of these guys really outside the grip of the developers?
