Are you hearing this, Governing Board of Manassas Park? This is a comment from a Manassas Park resident that was entered on the online petition asking Governor Kaine to enroll the state in the Section 287(g) Program. This program would allow state corrections officers and police officers to process for deportation illegal aliens who are arrested for felonies and serious misdemeanors.
I am an American and have lived in my neighborhood for 19 years w/ neighbors that have lived here longer than that, that are now moving because of the criminal activity in our community. There has been atleast 15-20 families that have moved to southern and western counties due to illegal aliens 10+ members moving into 3 bedroom, 1 bath houses, where laundry is hung out on adjoining fence lines. 5-6 cars piled up on front yards that are now mudclad parking lots and living room furniture piled up on front porches and yards. This is a huge eye sore and causing our neighborhoods to become run down, and causing people who care to put a great deal of money out to have privacy fences installed to protect our property and our privacy.
I hear this every time I knock doors in Manassas Park. The frustration and disappointment with the Governing Board is very apparent when you speak to residents. Hopefully, more of them will begin to engage in the legislative process so that the Mayor and council will begin to understand the level of concern that their constituents have, and even perhaps try to do something to address these concerns.
The next meeting of the Governing Board is at 7PM on Tuesday. In order to get to the council chambers at city hall, go through the door marked “employees only”. I’m not kidding.

I wonder if Representative Frank Wolf is hearing comments like this from all over his district, and, if so, does he care about them?
It should be mentioned that the front doors to city hall aren’t always unlocked during meetings, but you can go to the side door on the right side of the building, in the rear. The side door is right near the handicapped parking spaces. Then just go through the door marked “Employees Only” and council chambers are immediately on the right.
Advocator- According to M.P.’s Mayor, Frank Wolf hasn’t heard from anyone on this issue. Astounding! Since I personally contacted Frank Wolf on this very issue.
Our own City Councilman Marc Aveni made the news.

I too wrote Frank Wolfe and he responded (his staff likely responded with his guidance), that he was doing his absolute best to prevent Congress from making mistakes like were made in the 1986 Reagen “Amnesty”. He is against it, voted against it and will support legislation to address the issue of “illegal” immigration and the negative effect it has on our society’s general welfare and level of criminal activity. IMHO Section 287(g) is just the tip of the iceberg to solving the other forms of “illegal” criminal activity that forms illegally along racial, religious, gender and ethnic lines. The nation has yet to fully understand the impact of this kind of society decline, evidenced in other nations who practice this type of lawlessness and have social, political and economic disasters because of their illegal activities and lawlessness, and ethnic, religious, racial, gender privilege outcries, political group unrest, civil disobedience and war.
I wonder what would happen if all or most of the members of HSM went to his VA office in sat in the waiting area if there is one. Do you think that might have an impact? Maybe we should all make an appointment to see him at the same time and date. I wonder what would happen?

I think that nobody should be punished or deported only because someone doesn’t have papers , it’s just another person added in this world.

One thing that m.p. governing body is not getting is there are local busn. that are located in the park, we pay taxes and vote! I have a home based busn that is located in the park. I received my tax bill yesterday. how about all the construction, cleaning, landscaping companies which do not register, do not get licensed, and nothing is done.

I have wondered that as well. Last summer my next door neighbors set up an illegal and unlicensed auto repair shop in their driveway. Cars would be up on jacks there for days at a time as they worked on the, and work began loudly before 7:00 am, even on weekends.
I contacted code enforcement and they drove by and claimed they saw nothing wrong. I got quite forceful, took photos and sent them and reasserted there was an illegal, unlicensed auto repair shop next door to me in Bloom’s Crossing. They could not ignore the photos, but my God did I have to fight to get it shut down.
MP is the strangest government I have enver encountered. Most city governments will crack down hard on things like unlicensed businesses, even when they ignore other code enforcement issues, because that cuts into their precious revenue base. But not MP.

come on…do you expect free handouts to be given to all? Illegals i.e. undocumented immigrants do not “help out” the country. No matter how you slice it, illegal is illegal. When are you people going to get this through your thick skulls?
labeling a bunch of criminals with the term “undocumented” does not water it down one bit. Get rid of all them, you’ll see the change and all the love that will be going around. I’ll sure be dancing in the streets for joy…along side everyone else!
