This Is Sick — Help Catch Some Rapists
By Greg L | 11 September 2007 | Crime | 8 Comments
As happens from time to time, I’ve got another anonymous tip of a crime that hasn’t been reported in the papers yet, and of which I have no confirmation. Anyone with information on this, please contact the Prince William County Police Department and help them complete their investigation. I’m told the Prince William County Police are investigating the sodomy and rape of a 14 year-old girl at the Prince William County Fair by a group of seven men. Since it hasn’t been reported yet, I don’t have any additional details.
Having spent a lot of time at the fair this year, I can’t imagine something like this would have gone unnoticed. Someone had to have heard or seen something. Let’s help put some really bad guys behind bars.

You DO seem to love bringing up anonymous charges, don’t you?
@Krustis
And? You’d rather go around blind to what’s happening in your community? Or would you like to wait for your COMMUNITY newspaper to find the time to report public safety issues when they feel it appropriate?
You have every right to wear blinders, but don’t bash us for choosing to take them off.
Krutis,
I believe Greg’s track record is pretty good when it comes to receiving tips such as this one.
If would be one thing if he was reporting it as fact, but he is not doing that. If we had to rely only on the MJM for news, we would surely be in the dark on a number of stories.
The fair took place in August, we are now in the second week of September, exactly when is the appropriate time to report a possible crime?
COM - It seems the apropriate time to report a possible crime would be as soon as the police knows about it, without names, of course. Greg says it hasn’t been reported to THE PAPERS. Does that automatically mean that it hasn’t been reported to the police? I don’t know the fomalities. If it had been reported to the police, shouldn’t it be recorded somewhere? It just seems strange that something as serious as the alleged crime would not show up until several weeks later. And only as a rumor.
Greg has been spot on with prior tips such as this. I only wish he was this good with the stock market..
Krustis,
Any reputable newspaper has connections and or sources with local law enforcement. They could simply run a story such as…. The PW Police department is currently investigating a possible rape we will provide more information as it becomes avaiable.
The main stream media (and unfortunately that includes the MJM) are hesitant to report stories that are detrimental to the positions.
Such as maybe the suspects in this case are either Black or Hispanic and the victim is neither the story goes unreported. But, when the suspect(s) are non-hispanic or non-black and the victim is either hispanic or black the media is all over it such as the Jenna 6(sp?). For example, did anyone hear about a case several months ago about a young white couple attending college (i can’t remember, but I think it was in Kentucky) being car-jacked, raped, brutally murdered over the course of three days by a group of black men and women? This trend is very disturbing.
News flash to Krustis. The MJM is not a reputable newspaper. It’s that simple.
