Predator Of A 12 Year Old Girl Is Caught

Courtesy of one BVBL reader who pointed this story out in one of his comments, WJLA is reporting on the arrest of someone who attempted to abduct a twelve year old girl in Manassas. What kind of animals do we have running around that would want to harm a twelve year old?
So far there’s been no coverage in the MJM. Although the suspect in this case has a Hispanic surname, we shouldn’t immediately draw any conclusions about this person’s legal status, especially when it seems the practice of local police to report such information. This person has been processed at the intake unit at the Regional Adult Detention Center, and if this person is an illegal alien he will be processed for deportation under the Section 287(g) Program. Since there’s been no mention of this suspect’s legal status, the presumption should be that he is not an illegal alien.
Manassas Police have arrested a 19-year-old man who is accused of trying to abduct a 12-year-old girl Friday night in the 9,500 block of Willowbrook Court.
Officers were called to the address for a reported argument. When they arrived, the officers spotted a man leaving on a bike. The victim told officers she was walking to a friend’s house when the bicycle-riding man approached her from behind and grabbed the back of her shirt. She says the man told her he would take her someplace where she could not get away. The victim pulled away and made a commotion. A witness confronted the man, who fled.
Police arrested 19-year-old Jose Sanchez Candelerio a short time later near Stonewall Park.
He’s been charged with attempted abduction.
Hopefully there will be some follow-up on this story. The message needs to get out there that if you try to prey on our children, you’re going to get caught no matter who you are. The more the local media talks about this case, hopefully, the less we’ll see of these deeply disturbing cases.

Where in the hell is the MJM???
I just noticed it’s online at the MJM under Police Briefs with today’s date. Not bad since this ONLY happened last Friday. Does anyone know if this story is in the print edition of the MJM?
It was in the print edition this morning, under the police briefs.
Kudos to Greg for saying not to jump to conclusions, that the suspect is here illegally. However, I strongly suspect he is. Why? Because the police blotter lists the suspect’s address as “No Fixed Address”, which is an indicator that the suspect does not have any acceptable form of ID, which would contain an address of record.
I don’t agree that we should presume the suspect is not an illegal alien. We should not presume anything. We do not know if he is a legal immigrant or an illegal alien, or a naturalized or natural born citizen. I only pray that the legal system deals with him in the appropraite way and the young girl gets the justice she deserves.
Kudos to the girl for not cooperating with the guy. It’s so important to teach our kids what to do in a situation like this. Brave girl.
Speaking of Stonewall Park, this is still a great place to take your small kids and I encourage everyone to go there. Go in groups if you are worried about these types. But I worry about neighborhood parks being taken over by undesirables. And a great way to keep that from happening is for families to keep frequenting them.
Not sure which thread to post this under but something really got under my skin today.
I had just got back from the naval hospital this morning, had to get some tests done and decided to take the day off. I headed over to walmart and was quite quizzed as to why the place was full of hispanic children (over 5 years old) that should be in school? What’s up there? They bitch about getting to use schools are then dont show up? Did they decide to take a “sick” day?
When I was walking out of walmart I saw several hispanic youths (around 14 years or so) walking out of walmart with brand new bmx bikes that were much too small for them. Then they proceeded to pedal away to potomac mills. All this in the middle of a school day.
Another protest to show the gringos that we can’t make them go to school and learn English?
“Kudos to the girl for not cooperating with the guy. It’s so important to teach our kids what to do in a situation like this. Brave girl.”
Remember the attack that took place in Spotsylvania County maybe 2005? A 15-year-old girl was walking past a construction site when one of the workers whistled at her. She did what any smart 15-year-old girl would do and what you would tell your own daughter to do: she ignored him. Check below for what happened next:

Doing the “right thing” isn’t always a protection…….
This is exactly why we need to arm 12 year olds. (psst, whackette, did I do that right?)
STILL NOTHING IN THE MJM AS OF THE 19TH.
Not4Nothing and others,
Did you all catch the name of the assailant in the article Not4Nothing linked? Jose Ramirez of Woodbridge beat and attacked a girl who wouldn’t respond to him when he whistled at her.
Well, the article clearly stated that the assailant was confirmed to be an illegal alien from Prince William County. It must really gall the apologists that they can’t claim any racist assumptions here. After all, they all just came here to work.
Keep the “illegal” pressure on and the criminals and Terrorists among us will Flee!
