I’ve been out of town for the past two days and from a few phone calls I’ve gotten it seems as if there’s been a lot happening while I’ve been away.  Stonewall Middle School got locked down at some point because of a report of a gunman in the area, Chris Royse has a debate, and I’m sure a few other things as well.  Catch me up on what’s been happening!

Drove by the Big Sign on PW Street @ 2:30 pm. Flimsy, handmade signs were placed in front of the chain link, saying something to the effect: “You are not in Mexico” and “Speak English.” They were crummy little signs flapping in the breeze and hard to read. But inside the fence were a couple Latino gentlemen and a camera crew.

I received word of a lockdown from my daughter
and Bill on Wednesday 9/19/07, as I was on my way to address the PWC School Board.
There is a report of someone, possible teen, with a gun in the woods near the school (copycat of
    Delaware State???).

There are sports teams that are practicing at this
time (unlike the Middle Schools in Fairfax County
which do not have any). There is a letter from the
principal which states that there is “a potentially
dangerous situation…near the backside of the school”.
    Unfortunately, there are no specifics.

Because of numerous robberies, the Sniper incident
back in the early 2000s, the killing at Balls Ford
Roard and 234, they are VERY experienced in lockdowns
and my hats off to them for their quick response.

Saw this article in the Washington Times yesterday. Seems day laborers and a center for them may not be welcome in Washington DC.

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/article/20070920/METRO/109200089/1004/metro

Community leaders scheduled a public-safety meeting in a Northeast neighborhood after a bloody clash among a group of Hispanic men that residents said began in an area where day laborers gather looking for work.

As many as 200 mostly Hispanic day laborers congregate each day at a shopping plaza in Brentwood looking to link up with area contractors for jobs.

Residents said some of the workers loiter, drink alcohol and urinate in public — and that a proposal by D.C. Council member Harry Thomas Jr. to build a day-laborer center at the plaza to curb such problems is not the right solution.

“If we have them hanging out now, bringing a criminal element to our community, what are we going to do — allow them to have a meeting place?” said Raymond Chandler, an advisory neighborhood commissioner in the area. “We need to first enforce laws in place.”

The incident occurred at about 7:30 p.m. last Thursday, when police found a Hispanic man lying on a sidewalk and bleeding from his head near 10th Street and Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast — only a few hundred feet away from the shopping plaza.

Police said the victim — who was identified only as “John Doe” in police reports — also had a stab wound in the center of his back.

Mr. Chandler said his constituents who live in the area told him the man was assaulted during a fight involving a large group of men that began behind the Bank of America at 915 Rhode Island Ave.

The clash then spilled over from a hill behind the bank onto 10th Street, where Mr. Chandler said men were “rolling over people’s cars” during the fight.

“It was nobody who lived in the neighborhood involved in the incident,” Mr. Chandler said. “A couple of my neighbors said it had to be about 20 of them.”

Sgt. Juan Aguilar, commander of the Metropolitan Police Department’s gang unit, said he had not heard of the incident.

“We’ve had no reports of any type of gang activity in that area or with fights that are known to happen with day laborers,” he said.

Still, police records show that responding officers were told by a witness that two men stomped and kicked the victim, and another witness said one of the men hit the victim in the back of the head with a wood 2-by-4.

The victim was taken to Washington Hospital Center and reportedly survived, Mr. Chandler said. Officers arrested two Hispanic men after the incident, who are identified in records only by their last names: Bayer and Salazar-Valadez. The report also says both men are suspected of using alcohol.

Metropolitan Police do not inquire about the immigration status of persons they arrest.

Mr. Thomas, who secured $500,000 in funding to build the day-laborer center, could not be reached for comment yesterday.

He has said his proposed center would include restrooms and offer classes ranging from language immersion to financial literacy, and asserted it would be a solution to the nuisance problems perpetrated by a minority of the day laborers.

But Mr. Chandler and other residents adamantly oppose constructing the center, saying employment services already exist in the area and that city money should not be used to fund a center for day laborers, many of whom are illegal aliens.

The incident caused Mr. Chandler to organize a public-safety meeting for community residents and businesses to voice their concerns to police.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Oct. 9 at Isle of Patmos Baptist Church in Northeast.

Well, Greg I wanted to tell you this when it happened. Of course there is always drama every other day in our neck of the woods. I’m sure Nancy Lyall would say that I was making it up but she lives in her own dream world where illegal aliens are law abiding, hard working tax payers. She is either dreaming or on drugs.

Anyway, a few weeks ago (around the end of August) I decided to go visit Lafayette. I took my dog with me since it was evening and one doesn’t know what to expect. Well, Lafayette and I sat on her front porch having a good conversation when a teenage Hispanic male came down the sidewalk. I didn’t pay much attention to him at first but five minutes later the neighbors car alarm went off. Guess who we saw running from the car. Yes that’s right, the teenage Hispanic male. He was in such a hurry that he left his flashlight on the inside of the car. We saw him run down toward Strasburg. I guess the life of crime gets passed to the next generation. We were amazed that anyone would try such a thing since potential witnesses had full view of the car. I guess since illegal aliens have been getting away with just about anything in this county the last five years they don’t care who is watching. On the way home I saw the young man on King George at one of our “favorite” houses. Then he went across the street to the house where the now infamous “trash” truck resides. You may say, how do you know it was the same punk. Well, it was dark but not that dark and how is it that this kid happened to be wearing the same clothes?

My question to Nancy Lyall is, where do you pull your fantasy crime statistic? Oh, by the way Nancy the year is not over yet. Nancy, you need to wake up and face reality. Hey, Nancy even Jeanette Rishell brought someone with her when she went door to door in my neighborhood. Do you think she knows that we have a problem with illegal aliens committing crimes? Nancy, Nancy, Nancy you and Jeanette Rishell have something in common. You wouldn’t know the truth even if it came and bit you in the face.

    Patty,

I posted this late last night on a post when Nancy’s name came up however there was a lot of heated remarks going back and forth so I don’t know if this got over looked or was simply not interesting enough however I will repost with a couple of edits…..

Nancy Lyall has made herself a public figure by speaking and representing Mexico Sin Fronteras in different aspects through out recent times. At the Board meeting she got up and spoke putting her address on record so I double checked the information I found …therefore I do not mind pointing out the following:

Nancy Lyall would not recognize illegal activity if it jumped up bit her in her backside or lived in her own home.

Wow! Is D. Lyall a spouse or child. If it’s a spouse, I’d have to say she must like ‘em young(like Ricardo J)! I’m pretty sure it’s her son though. All jail time SUSPENDED. Was it a good/high priced lawyer or bad judge? Or both? Or just simply not enough room at the jail? The jail needs the beds for the “worst of the worst”, which I can certainly understand. This is only a misdeanor charge however one with jail time. More things that make you go hmmmmmmm

I must apologize for not updating you on the flashlight. I still can’t BELIEVE anyone would be that bold and brazen. Let’s not forget there’s a bright street light between my house and the crime scene(car was parked on the street). Victims say nothing was missing just gone through.

    Lafayette,

08 hasn’t any new borders but it looks like they already have plenty. Even with the new tenants, it doesn’t look like they will cover the debt. Will see.

    All,

You should see the article in the The Wash. Times. Looks like the governor of New York is going to give illegal aliens drivers licenses. I guess now we should be on the look out for New York plates. Of course I’ve seen my share of NC, Texas, PA and California. Oh and of course Maryland (where I predict the next terrorists will reside). I wonder why?

“Woodbridge men arrested after machete attack”

“Two Woodbridge men were arrested after attacking each other with machetes in the 1700 block of Horner Road in Woodbridge around 4:20 a.m. Sunday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.

Bereni S. Dede, 28, of 1721 Horner Road, was charged with malicious wounding, obstruction of justice and assault and battery on a police officer. Jeremias Wilberto Ramirez, 30, of 1719 Horner Road, was charged with attempted malicious wounding.

Police said the two were drinking when they began to fight. Ramirez is accused of attacking Dede, who police say retaliated, cutting Ramirez’s hands with the machete.

According to police, Dede then began to fight when officers were arresting him.”

I was there at that accident on sat night, actually in the water. one guy was knocked out in the passenger seat with a huge wound on his head and his neck was looked messed up and the other was beaten up pretty good. the one who was awake couldn’t speak a bit of english and acted like he was drunk. The van flipped a few times and landed in the water. The guy in the passenger side was snoring as he was knocked out (good sign of intoxication before the injuries). I think another guy was there but took off. As I jumped in the water to help, I think a third person took off. Not sure, it all happened so fast.

It’s too bad that we keep hearing the same story over and over. Our emergency response personnel are put at risk to save these people. Our public is at risk with these people driving (and walk) our streets.
There own ‘friends’ and ‘family’ don’t even stick around to pull them out to keep them from drowning. What kind of people live like this?
