More On Kaine’s (Now) Former Appointee

By Greg L | 27 September 2007 | Virginia Politics | 19 Comments

Can you believe that Governor Kaine didn’t know about this when he appointed this guy to the Virginia Commission on Immigration? This stuff is littered all over the internet!

I think this guy is praising Hamas in this video. Unbelievable.

UPDATE: Kaine’s spokesman Kevin Hall had this to say earlier about this flap, before Kaine apparently asked Omeish to resign in a pretty abruptly executed about-face:

Kaine spokesman Kevin Hall said Gilbert’s concerns were nothing but repeated “whispers and smears.”

If the Muslim American Society has any connections with the Muslim Brotherhood, “I haven’t found any direct evidence of it,” Hall said. “It’s been hinted at, whispered, smeared, but that’s just one of those conspiracy theories out there.”

Hall said Kaine had nothing for which to apologize.

“That these delegates would spread innuendo, moving dangerously close to slander, is disappointing,” he said. “If they have evidence of what they’re alleging, I would suggest that they bring it to us.”

I wonder if Kevin Hall is happy about having the blogosphere comply with his request as it has. The language in this briefly defiant stand is well, vaguely familiar. About the only thing Hall left out was a cheap shot at calling everyone who was expressing concern here a racist or something.

Kaine used the same firm to check out the background of his appointees as Hillary used for her campaign contributors.

Have you found anything about any contributions this guy might have made? Maybe who might have recommended him?

And yes, this is truly amazing by the Governor. Brings back jokes about “PumpKaineHead.”

I fear for my safety with this man at the helm. He won’t protect me from the ravage of illegal aliens or the wrath of terrorists. He needs to be recalled immediately.

This guy works at Inova Alexandria hospital as a surgeon…just announced on the news.

I am not happy about this. A family member of mine works at this hospital where a doctor who advocates jihad works.

I just checked out VPAP and the FEC. He hasn’t made much in the way of contributions to anyone. No one in VA and at the fed. level, he gave to Keith Ellison for Congress and someone named Bill Gluba who is/was running for Congress in Iowa.

His brother Mohamed made the following contribution. Note the recipient and the date:

    FALLS CHURCH, VA 22041

    09/11/2001 500.00

I hope Inova takes action - we do NOT need Jihadists in our hospitals where public safety is utmost. Remember the recent incident in England where several doctors were arrested for being involved in terrorism?

Legal2…thanks…I will be contacting Inova management about this next week. I hope others here will help me put some pressure on them.

Yes I do remember the england incident, just not all the details.

If anyone here knows someone that works at Inova (any hospital) tell them about this.

Where did he get a “valid” passport to leave this country. You need one for international travel be it a U.S. or Guatamallan passport. Somthing smells other than his money!

Thanks, I remember the incident in England and how there was a terrorist warning for us in America, that we have to worry about doctors. I am not saying this is the case, but I do remember the threat!

The MJM buried this story in a brief article with no photos at the bottom of page four today, despite the national media attention it drew yesterday. The MJM editorial staff should admit their blatant biases toward political correctness, multicultural activism and liberal politicians (i.e., protecting Tim Kaine), or acknowledge their gross incompetence in minimizing the attention they gave to this story. Our Governor, through either the same biases and/or incompetence, appoints an avowed, anti-Semitic jihadist to an important state commission and the MJM thinks it warrants only a brief article on page four?

Moreover, I’m appalled that one of our hospitals would have a guy like Omeish on their medical staff. The hospital’s administration can’t plead ignorance of his radical statements and behavior given the number of videos of his speeches available and his widely-known associations with those of similar views. I’m sure their excuse will be that he is a good physician. Be that as it may, someone who is this hate-filled and radical has no business working in an environment such as a hospital in which he must serve a diverse population, including many of the people against whom his hate is directed.

If this had been someone affiliated with a conservative organization making similar statements directed at one or another ethic or religious group, the MJM would have plastered it all over the front page, and his employer would have thrown him out of his job immediately. Political correctness rules as the inmates take over the asylum!

There was this crack on WMAL this morning about how you won’t want Omeish to be a Mohel (practitioner of Jewish ritual circumcision). LOL
