A Manassas woman told police that she found a burglar in her house in the 9900 block of Hampton Road around 11:15 a.m. Thursday, according to Manassas police.
The 38-year-old told police that she was watching TV when she heard footsteps, according to a news release. The woman looked upstairs and saw a boy who looked to be in his teens.
The victim then ran outside and called for help.
Police said the burglar entered and left the house through a second floor
bedroom window. Stolen from the residence were the victim’s purse and a jar full of assorted coins, valued at $150.
