Just for anyone not familiar with the contribution buttons Greg has used, Red Storm PAC is a completely secure way to donate to candidates whatever amount you wish to contribute. 100% of the contribution goes to the candidate or organization you are donating to — there are NO transaction fees taken out. Red Storm PAC pays those fees via contributions to the PAC and optional tips to the PAC left by donors to the campaigns. Finally, Republicans have a way to combat ActBlue.
Plus, they also provide easy HTML code to cut and paste so you can put contribution buttons on your own web site for the candidates that you support. (If your website does not allow script code, just click on the “Details” link next to a campaign on the summary page for the basic HTML code.) And if you don’t see a Republican candidate you support on there, just drop them a line and they put together a page for them pretty quickly.
For a list of current campaigns and organizations (including Help Save Manassas) they are currently set up to contribute to, check out their summary page here:

I just received the following from Corey Stewart as a response to the e-mail I sent to the BOCS yesterday.
“Please don’t give up hope yet. As you may know, some of the Board members on Tuesday refused to vote to fund the crackdown on illegal immigration until the Board discusses financing options at the Board’s annual fiscal retreat on October 11. In my view, the community is already paying for the cost of illegal immigration in terms of crowded schools, emergency rooms, jails and rising gang violence. I have insisted that the Board vote on this no later than October 16. This is the last meeting before the election on November 6, and it is imperative that the Board vote before the election to avoid losing momentum.
Please come to the Board meeting on October 16th at 2:00 at the McCoart Building and speak in favor of the resolution. Also, please email the whole Board at BOCS@pwcgov.org urging the board to approve the funding for the resolution. At this point, the only solid votes for the proposal are John Stirrup, Mike May and myself. Thanks. I appreciate your help.

Thanks, I sure hope to see you there on 10/16/07!! I’m still working on my letter to the entire Board. I’ve spoken with Corey’s, John S’s, and Mike’s office this morning. These three are behind us the legal citizens.
I want to know how many of those 7,000 letters Nancy Lyall spoke of where from legal residents of PWC. Hell, maybe ICE would like to take a peak at those letters.
CORR
PEEK at those letters. Why not just send those letters straight to ICE!!
Jenkins and Barg always likes to wait and see what comes out of the retreat.
This is a farce and if they get Nohe, Caddigan or Covington or May to go along with them we need to have one name for awrite in on all of those campaigns.A name that everyone will put in to get them out.
Caddigan apparently has already said she supports Pandak and I know she detests Corey. She likes to play games as she has done for years.
But we need to make her understand the Citizens are Fed Up with our failing quality of life.
They all need to put in their descretionary funds for the common good of the people. Thats what it was put there for in the first place.
Another step is to get rid of the liberal County Executive. Its time for a change.
When Ricardo Juarez gave instructions to folks about th letters, he specifically told people not to put down their full street address if they were illegal. It would be interesting to go through all those and see how many have full addresses, and how many do not.
The County Exec. is an obstructionist. Always ready with reasons why it will be too hard, too expensive, too controversial, too divisive. Well, too bad - we the citizens have put up with their excuses for TOO LONG. Time for action.
Who has custody of the “letters”?
If you want to avoid helping those who help Gill then O’Brien and Royse are the way to go.
On the other hand, if you want to help those who say, as Corey Stewart told a Woodbridge mosque last summer, that “I put Faisal Gill on the ballot” then Corey Stewart and Bob Fitzsimmons are your men. Elect Stewart and Fitzsimmons and they will nominate as many jihad-panderers as they can.
Personally I think that Royse and O’Brien are the way to go, but hey, that is just me.
I nominate “Frank N. Stein” as the opposition write-in candidate for any BOCS that does not support the resolution.
In any letters or e-mails to the Board, I recommend that you urge the Board to consider changing the requirement for police to inquire about legal status based on probable cause to inquiring about legal status of everyone they detain or suspect of an infraction. If they must inquire of everyone, they have no PC (probable cause) determination to make. If they do not have any determination to make, that determination cannot be attacked in the courts. Even though it might make all stops a little bit longer, the county would save by not having court cases to defend.
If you are concerned about illegal immigration, remember what the Potomac News reported in its 9/29/07 editorial:
“”"The information on the back of two of Nichols’ mailings, in particular, is true enough. Nichols’ campaign accuses Gill’s law firm, Gill & Gallinger, of helping illegal immigrants avoid deportation. They use a quote from the law firm’s Web site to back that claim up.”"”
Faisal Gill cannot credibly represent you on the subject of illegal immigration, because Faisal Gill will be heading to the county jail, “helping illegal immigrants avoid deportation,” as the Potomac News so eloquently put it.
Faisal is only one person. He cannot simultaneously want to throw the book at his own illegal immigrants clients and simultaneously set free illegal immigrant clients.
So, either Faisal Gill betrays his illegal immigrant clients and does nothing for them, or else Faisal Gill betrays YOU. Which will it be?
Well, remember that Gill and Gallinger’s illegal immigrant clients pay money that goes into Gill’s bank account. You don’t. So my guess is that the illegal immigrant cash that Gill and Gallinger rakes in is going to speak louder than you do. Faisal will betray you and be true to his illegal immigrant clients.
I am not familiar with political terms..what is a “lit drop”?
Advocator,
I think you make an excellent point. Let the police ask everyone they stop about their status. That will just take away another excuse of the pro-illegal people.
I say that the police should stop everyone (as in every durned one) and investigate status. It’ll bring the police and the economy to collapse, but it sure will be satisfying and we won’t get all this pesky Equal Protection drivvel.
Immigration lawyers like Gill and Gallinger will sue if the police don’t ask everyone, so ask everyone.
Gill and Gallinger partner Asim Ghafoor is already suing the National Security Agency for $1,000,000 for listening in on his international phone calls with Specially Designated Global Terrorist Soliman Al-Buthe.
These immigration lawyers like Faisal Gill are litigious. Gill may claim that he wants the police to get tough on illegal immigrants, but once the police start going after Gill and Gallinger’s paying illegal immigrant clients Gill will sue.
If you think the new county police policies are expensive now, just wait until the BOCS tells the police to ask everyone their status. I know there will be somebody who will jump on here and say, “Oh, come on…all you have to do is ask, why does that cost any more money?” Unfortunately, it ain’t that simple. In addition, don’t think the illegal immigrant crowd won’t challenge that as well–they’ll say, “sure, you say you’re going to ask everyone, but we all know you’re really only going to ask those with accents.” They are going to fight this no matter what.
“I have insisted that the Board vote on this no later than October 16. This is the last meeting before the election on November 6, and it is imperative that the Board vote before the election to avoid losing momentum,” quoting Corey Stewart.
Mr. Stewart’s number one priority should be what is best for the community and it’s citizens, and not what is needed to help him get re-elected. Yes, this needs to pass but we need to act responsibly in making fiscal decisions during such lean times.
After learning of the State shortfall and loss of $500,000 dollars in revenue from Richmond, we need to apply sensible conservative principles to the solution. And, by next Tuesday?
Where is the one eyed giant in the land of the blind when you need em?
If illegal immigrants are going to fight this, then it is even more important to keep Faisal Gill–an attorney for the illegal immigration law firm of Gill and Gallinger–OUT OF THE STATE HOUSE.
Paul Nichols doesn’t practice immigration law on behalf of illegal immigrant clients. Gill and Gallinger on the other hand advertises for illegal immigrant clients. It goes out of its way to recruit illegal immigrants on whose behalf it can file pleadings to avoid deportation.
In addition, the raided financier M. Yaqub Mirza, a major financial backer of the Herndon day labor center through the FAITH Islamic charity, is also a donor to Gill’s 2007 campaign through three raided Safa Group entities.
The attempt to force a Herndon illegal immigrant day labor center on the community and the attempt to force immigration law firm partner Faisal Gill on an unwilling public are related. The nexus of the relationship is Faisal Gill and his donor M. Yaqub Mirza.
Why are we rewarding people who have commited as crime? How can I teach my children to follow the laws of this country, when we are letting non citizens who have entered this country illegally, break the law and in a way rewarding them to do so. It is also unfair for those who are waiting in their country, going through the proper procedures to come here legally. Why have laws if not going to inforce them. As for businesses saying they need the cheap labor, how about getting every able bodied person on welfare, out there doing the jobs, that illegals are doing. The government could supplement their income, provide assisted daycare, so that they meet minimal wage. I think this would be a more acceptable us of my taxes. I don’t mine my tax dollars helping american citizens and or legal immigrants in their time of need, but I do object that my hard earned tax dollars are being used to support illegal anything.
