    Does HSM have any signs that can be posted around town in local neighborhoods (much like the signs candidates use)? This might help recruit even more people. The sign should have the HSM website address on it too!

    (Washington, D.C.) – The Tancredo Campaign filed its first matching funds submission today-for $1.606 million.

    “We are on track to be a force in the upcoming primary season,” National Chair Bay Buchanan stated, “This submission will be used as collateral for a bank loan which guarantees the campaign all the funds necessary to be strong in the coming months.”

    In order to be eligible to receive matching funds, campaigns must reach a threshold of $100,000. The total amount must include $5,000 raised in 20 different states with a maximum donation of $250 from any individual. The Tancredo campaign was officially certified to receive matching funds on September 12, 2007.

    Submissions are made on the first working day of each month. Beginning in January 2008 funds are distributed by the U.S. Treasury Department.”

    I am working on a letter to the BOCS this week. I am really concerned about this foot dragging. The BOCS got us into this mess by having lax police enforcement and non-existent zoning enforcement. They need to get us out of it. The problem is all the members do not live in effected areas of PWC, and are worried about raising taxes on non-effected residents. 14 million dollars over 5 years is nothing, and not a problem, they could easily make that up by fining zoning offenders. I used to live in Boston, and if you so much as park the wrong way, boom $10 ticket. An apartment building has broken lock that does not get fixed right a way, $100 ticket. Lets see $25 tickets on all cars parked in yards and houses with junk piled everywhere, and all the cars “garaged” on my street without county stickers and up to date registration. The money will flow.

    Some times governing does not require a philosophical discussion, it requires some money and some hard work. I believe Mario Cuomo said it best that there was no republican or democrat way to pick up the trash on time. The same applies here.

This is a very professional, well organized, well put together publication that is a positive reflection and representation of the organization. I especially like the “Heroes and Zeros” section! Way to commend and call out individuals on their respective stands on the issue. Also, I especially enjoyed Mrs. Wood’s report on the HRC. Very informative.

    I’ve told the PWCBOS a couple of times now, that very thing regarding Zoning violations that’s a great place to capture some new revenue to help support the funding. Here’s another way they could save some money, get rid of so called “inspector” Chavez. Also, call the Supervisors or visit their office.

    Newsletter is great. Thank you! I’m going to make copies for my neighbor who is an HSM member but does not have a computer.

    To those who think that only the affected areas need to be taxed. Wake up! This problem affects the whole county. Property values are declining all over! When that happens revenue drops to the county, county services drop and bond ratings could drop too. No man sins in isolation.

    Also wanted to share this. Illegal aliens are robbing some states of congressional reprensentation. Threes states each are going to lose congressional seats to states whose population has been inflated by illegals. This means citizens and legal residents will lose a voice in favor of those who have no right to be here. I have posted the link and story below.

    A University of Connecticut study concluded Arizona, Texas and Florida could all see their House delegations increase due to rising populations that include sizable numbers of illegal immigrants.

    Although they can’t vote, such aliens are included in the census. The San Jose (Calif.) Mercury News predicted Tuesday the pending 2010 headcount could be the subject of a political fight as Democrats and Republicans jockey for position before House seats are reallocated.

    The Connecticut study also predicted California and New Jersey would likely keep their current number of seats while states with fewer immigrants, including New York, Illinois and Ohio, will lose a seat or two.

    Everyone remember: The PWCBoS does not really want to do anything. They have parked themselves in their cushy positions and will take action only if pushed. They are bureaucrats who have to be pushed and prodded every step of the way. Keep the pressure on.

    Question, how do I get an application for HSM ?

    Question,has some one verified those 7000 letters that was sitting in front of the BOS and were these all Legal Residents of P.W. ?

    Some one needs to take on that task and I will send a FOIA request,that some of those gals sitting around in the McCoart Bldg. could start verifying.

    That tape that was on this blog from LA, needs to be sent to all the Supervisors.As we are heading there if we don’t clean up these messes. I could not get this to copy and send.

    Any suggestions would help.
