Driving liberals, dhimmis and illegal alien apologists absolutely insane since 2005...

Corey Stewart Takes On The Ostrich Caucus

By Greg L | 5 October 2007 | Illegal Aliens, Prince William County | 12 Comments

The regional debate regarding illegal aliens took a strange turn today as the liberal Ike Legget, Montgomery County Executive and Prince William County Chairman Corey Stewart traded barbs in an article in today’s Washington Post. Not only do Montgomery County, Maryland’s “enlightened” policies provide for taxpayer-funded day laborer centers, but they are actually spending taxpayer dollars in voter registration drives that target illegal aliens. Ike Legget is actually proud of this.

If you’re a resident of Montgomery County, Maryland and this outrages you, you can either contact HelpSavemaryland.com and get in the fight, or pack up your things and move here to Prince William County, VA, where we don’t treat illegal aliens better than we do our own citizens.

From the article:

Mr. Leggett’s comments were made one day after he joined Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, a Democrat, in announcing more assistance for CASA of Maryland and drew sharp criticism from opponents of illegal entry.

“No one has ever accused Ike Leggett of being enlightened,” said Brad Botwin, director of Help Save Maryland. “It was a stunning statement by an ‘enlightened’ man.”

CASA of Maryland, an illegal-alien advocacy group, has renovated the historic McCormick Mansion in Langley Park to provide such services as English classes and employment and computer training for illegal aliens and other Montgomery County residents.

The group, which also runs the county’s day-laborer center, will begin its Construyendo Nuestro Futuro program this weekend, helping illegal aliens sign up for driver’s licenses and register to vote. The campaign — which means building our future — is expected to cost about $30 million over three years and will receive a $1.5 million historic tax credit from Mr. O’Malley.

Here’s what “enlightened policies” like this actually result in:

This is a “rape tree” in Arizona. “It seems that when woman employ the “guides” that take you across the Mexican -U.S. border (called “Coyotes”), one thing these women must endure is the routine practice of being raped and as a visual reminder to all that come after –her bloodstains are left in the dirt and her panties are hung from the branches of a tree.” (for more on this, click here.)

Women coming across the border regularly start taking birth control pills a few months before their journey to the United States in order to ward off the unwanted pregnancies that result from this practice. Victims of this practice have been reported to be as young as ten years old.

This is a “layover point” in the Sonoran desert where illegal aliens entering the country will “hole up” during daylight when it’s warmer and the chances of detection are greater. The environmental damage caused by daily having thousands of illegal aliens use our wilderness areas as a dumping ground and toilet is enormous. Wide-spread habitat destruction has put at risk many animal and plant species that carve out an already difficult existence in this harsh, but beautiful climate.

And what makes all this happen? What makes illegal aliens come across the border and commit these atrocities? Ike Legget’s “enlightened” policies that make it easy for people to get cheap illegal alien day laborers to their mow their yards in Potomac, regardless of the cost in human lives this encouragement causes.

Enlightened, my posterior. Again, here’s the Washington Times:

“That’s a joke, said Corey A. Stewart, chairman of the Prince William County Board of County Supervisors, said of Mr. Leggett’s comments. “He is going to make Montgomery County the illegal-immigrant sanctuary in the … area. It is not enlightened to allow illegal aliens to commit crimes against citizens, then not deport them. It is not enlightened to divert resources away from citizens and to illegal immigrants. And it is not enlightened to put your head in the sand and ignore the problem.”

Exactly.

Maybe that’s the way to get Lefties to care about this problem: complain about habitat endangerment!

Isn’t CASA “aiding and abetting”? Can’t they be prosecuted for that?

I did not see that article in today’s Washington Post (may have missed it) but it surely was included in the Washington Times Metro section. I had to read that paragraph twice about registering illegal aliens twice as I didn’t believe what I was seeing. Maryland and federal tax dollars are going to CASA de Maryland???

Speaking of creating “santuary” look what Arnold in CA wants to do:

“Both Schwarzenegger and the Democrats want children of all immigrants — regardless of legal status — covered under the plan, as well as all immigrants employed by the state.”

MD never fails to amaze me. The whole situation is funny and disgusting at the same time. Citizens that vote for idiots like Ike and KEEP voting for idiots like Ike… well I find it hard to have any pitty for them. And these nuts win overwhelmingly. Every. Time.

And I will take issue with inviting liberal MDers to move to NOVA. We already have that plague in our border counties (Arlington/FFx). Stay in that cesspool you have created.

We need to quite inviting them or nut jobs like Maines Pierre will become viable candidates.

After we build a wall on our border with Mexico one needs to be built around MD with warnings: Liberal Insanity Zone. MD should be a case study of liberal politics gone awry.

All this, and Gov Kaine continues his socialist agenda while cutting budget and services for taxpaying citizens..imagine tapping the rainy day fund to fund free-childcare oh excuse me he calls it pre-school..give me a break. Oh yeah illegals can get that benefit to right–the constitution allows it…We have to make sure he is the last Democratic Governor elected in VA

Maryland is like Arlington and Fairfax Counties, but worse. It is a one-party state and is know for its corruption.

a little more detail, please, on this idea of registering illegal aliens to vote. Is this, in fact, what their program is all about, or is that some editorial gloss [applied by whom]. It is on its face completely silly [not to mention illegal] that anyone would attempt to do such a thing. Is there really a group that has as one of its state purposes a program to register illegal aliens to vote? I really doubt it. If I don’t see any more direct proof of that here, I’ll assume it’s another one of those gang-rape-in- the-middle-of-the-street-and-white-guy-killed-coming-to-rescue stories that we get here from time to time.

Remember the Dem. woman from Calif. who was running for a congressional house seat who was captured on video pandering to Latinos saying it was legal to register the “illegals?” Thank God she lost.

Here is some more proof. I’m sure the video is available somewhere on the internet. It received considerable play on the networks. This happened just prior to last November’s congressional election in San Diego.

Brian Bilbray (R) Defeats Francine Busby (D) in San Diego Special Election

Busby shot herself in the foot just days before the election by getting herself caught on tape encouraging illegal aliens to get involved in the race, telling them “you don’t need papers to vote.” Such a declaration in this San Diego-area district just north of the Mexican border surely cost her considerable support, and maybe even the election itself.
