Excellent point regarding the Health Dept. You should see that place on Thursdays. The “free clinic” opens at 6pm, and the “patients” start waiting outside in any kind of weather as early as 11AM. The Health Dept is busy the other days too. Thursday is the busiest.

Krutis, you biscuit-head, you can’t even buy a car without “signing any kind of paper”. There’s always a “bill of sale” tilte transfer etc. Try buying a house without signing something. However, there doesn’t have to be any paperwork if two private individuals, who are both legally able to own a firearm (reached the proper age, neither being convicted felons, neither having been ajudicated mentally deficient), want to transact. A wise buyer and seller would draw up a bill of sale with the gun’s serial number on it.

mnd - As I said, I don’t own a gun so don’t know the ins and outs of ownership. I have heard about PERMITS TO CARRY CONCEALED GUNS. Maybe that’s different from licensing. Personally, though, I’d rather know whether a person is carrying a gun. You know the old Wild West way with a big holster on his hip John Wayne style. At least I’d know to stay away.

Virginia is a free state, you say. Perhaps, Gone Fishing, those parking spaces at the Courthouse are filled by illegal aliens. A logical assumption, considering that lot is shared by the Health Department.

Incorrect. Virginia, being a free state, has no “gun licensing”.

Legally owned property may be sold at will without the consent of the state. Federal law governs sales of firearms between residents of different states.

Far too much “infringement” already for a right that “shall not be infringed.”

Just the Facts 9:50 am - Again, I ask: Would there be drug manufacturers in Mexico selling and smuggling to the US if there were no drug users in the US? Why would they manufacture something that they couldn’t sell? Again, it is NOT Mexico’s or any other country’s fault that drugs are being used in the US. That kind of blame game is illogical!

I have no opinion re guns. Many people like to have guns and have the right to do so with licensing. I don’t see that the manufacturers could be held responsible for what happens after they sell them, IF THEY ARE SOLD TO LEGITIMATE DEALERS that is. I don’t own a gun but was on my hi school’s rifle team back in the dark ages, and I like target shooting like I do darts. My forte is tabletennis.

(Fed Up 2), and BTW…Dominguez didn’t “buy” a badge from
anybody. He was invited by Wilson Garrison to become a
volunteer deputy. He earned his badge by going to the academy (which in itself is fairly remarkable, considering he
was 62 at the time) and accomplished what some 20 year olds
fail to do. He did not contribute a dime to the Stoffregen
campaign, in fact he left PWCSO to get away from the politics
going on there.
When I questioned Dominguez about moving the courthouse,
he stated that the only reason he brought it up was to make
people more aware of the security needed there.
Dominguez has worked his tail off for this county for the past
40 years and he certainly has earned my vote!

I do not know “Stoffy” personally, so how can you say that
I am his “buddy”? Neither am I am a buddy of Dominguez,
but I believe him to be an honest and ethical person.

I agree completely we must keep tabs on these on folks. We also, have to inspect the Property Code Inspectors here in WestGate.
I doubt the things you’ve heard would shock me.
I’m glad you mention the Sherrif and staff needing those spaces. Before, Sherrif Hill came into office, you could park on both sides of Rt. 28 unrestricted. Most of that parking is now by permit only. Why not make some of those spaces handicapped?

The more you educate yourself about Louis Dominguez the more you will like him. He has a plan to help the community and the people of Prince William, which is more then anyone can say about Glendell “Do-Nothing” Hill.

People like to talk about change but the do very little about it. They vote for the same people over and over again and change never takes place and the wonder why.

If you want a change you have a chance to do it in November.

I’m usually going to the courthouse in middle of the day, and parking yes is tough even at that time of day. I only spoke for what I saw, and I certainly don’t think the golf carts have NEVER been used for the above mentioned reasons. I’m thankful for your comments regarding the golf carts. Again, I was only speaking for what I had seen, and I should’ve been clear about the time of day I usually go there.
We both now the Courthouse has had a much needed expansion. The reality is the Courthouse isn’t going to be moved in time soon. If our PWCBOS, is waffling on funding for Stirrup’s resolution, I’m sure they wouldn’t allow the move. We need the resolution. I agree, we don’t need the Courthouse moved. Manassas has been the county seat for a very long time now.

I do know Luis, and have my whole life. I’ve talked to Sherrif Hill, and in MY opinion he comes off as anything but honest. Cleaned up the Sherrif’s Dept. you say. How cleaned up does this sound to you? I was on the elevator last week with two deputies(on duty and in their uniforms). The were so busy talking all this trash talk about their weekend, and all the while using profanity. This is not MY idea of cleaned up. It really made me sick to that we are paying people like this, and they are represting my native county. I don’t think so. I was raised in a very Democratic neighborhood. I do NOT belong to the Republican or the Democratic party, and nor would I. We should all register as Independents as it’s been mentioned before on bvbl.

You haven’t the slightest idea as to what Hill has done or not done.

You are slaming because you are buddy,buddy of Stoffregen. Most all who support Stoffy, have had a free deputy badge by giving him a donation.Then they could go and do what they wanted. Even to this day they have not turned them in and everyonce in awhile the Police catch them flashing a Badge when they were to turn it in.

Compare the names for those who support Dominguez and those that was with Stoffy. They are all the same.

Stoffy will never get over that he lost to HILL . And he’s out for revenge ,any way he can get it.

So be careful.

No, Lafayette, I am not a retired deputy or any branch of
law enforcement, but I like to know what is going on with
that department as well as the PWCPD for it’s my belief that
unless we keep tabs on these people (and the BOCS) we are
uninformed as to the corruption which goes on. You’d be
shocked at some of the things I’ve heard from some deputies.
As for transporting the elderly, ill, etc., it would seem that
there would be more handicap parking spaces available for

It’s good to know that Dominguez has his signs out there!

Better get to know youir Candidate Louis Dominguez.

Hill has cleaned up the Sheriff Dept. and made it more efficient.

Louis is a back slapping friend of Stoffregen and we can’t afford that type of politics here.

E-Mail Louis sent “2/27/03–To many frills in the County,Everything should be cut to the bone.”
“2/27/03 6.5 percent raise to County Employees.He says thats outrageous. It should be a Pay Cut.”??? Wow

“He says we don’t need anymore cops. Need to use what we have.”
This tells me Louis is cut from the same thread as Stoffregen.

Dominguez will say anything to get elected ,so watch his double talk.

We do not have any of the selling of the badges and one has to remember Louis was all part and friendly to this taking place.

Hill also does not need lessons on how to talk,he comes acrosss very clear and honest.

So check him out before you vote.

RE: the use of the golf cart by the Sheriff’s office - I too go to the courthouse everyday, as I work there. As a Victim Advocate attending court, I have called on the golf cart numerous times to transport elderly, handicapped and injured victims. With the parking situtiation being so tough (available parking is often all the way over by the old courthouse - you should know this if you go there everyday), the handicapped spots are often taken by the time my victims get there. I know seeing the golf carts may be frustrating to some but I assure you, if you talk to the people that have used them, you will get a different opinion.

From what I understand, Dominguez wants to relocate the Courthouse Complex to the other side of the county. What will this cost the taxpayers?

The first time I asked a Deputy about the golf carts I was told they’d be used to help transport the elderly, ill, etc. Funny thing is I’ve yet to see a single person riding on the back.(I go to the courthouse everyday). The golf cart was also at the PWC Fair.
There are more and more Dominguez signs popping up in WestGate/Sudley. I for one am pleased to see them, and this includes the one in my yard too!
Are you a retired PWC deputy by any chance? I really like your comments with regards to the Sherrif and his department.
