There’s a big difference between ministering to the spiritual needs of all of God’s people, and advocating for lawbreaking and sponsoring solidarity rallies with lawbreakers. The first is clearly within the mission of the church. The second is a violation not only of several messages in the Bible, but it puts in jeopardy the tax-exempt status that religious organizations generally enjoy.

I have bitterly protested some of the actions that the Catholic Diocese of Arlington have taken in support of illegal aliens, and will continue to do so, but at least they’ve been responsive to criticism and will no longer be allowing Mexicans Without Borders to use their facilities.

Only someone who has never spent much time in a church would fail to grasp the fundamental distinction between ministering to the spiritual needs of all sinners, and providing material support for the commission of sins.

Not that you care, but the position of the Unitarian Church on immigration is pretty much the same as that of the Catholic Church. Wny don’t you go to the Catholic Churches when they do mass in Spanish, that would be a target rich environement. You crackpots really want a police state. Teachers who disagree with you should be fired. Speakers who disagree with you at a meeting should be investiaged by ICE. So, if you blame Jeanette for supporting a church that is doing things for immigrants, you ought to go after Bob Marshall for his weekly support of All Saints, which contributes funds to the Arlington Diocese, which has an array of activities to support immigrants that would dwarf anything that BRUU does. But, somehow I don’t think that sort of consistency intersts you. Too much fun planning a police state when you can all get back at your enemies.

I was kinda wondering: why doesn’t ICE go to things like this (and Tuesday’s BOCS meeting) and start enforcing the law? My guess Tuesday’s BOCS meeting was a “target-rich environment.”

As for the Unitarians, I tried clicking on their “What We Believe” link, but the page would never load.
