"Your post is a good example, John Light, of why some Republicans consider you and Greg L. racists, and why we believe over the long term you will dramatically hurt our party."

Obviously you are a new arrival to this blog. I HIGHLY recommend that you go back to the posts dating to the time period where Faisal was running against Julie. You will see MANY and I mean MANY examples where I show PROOF Faisal Gills direct ties to terrorist and terrorist supporting agencies. He has accepted monies from people on the Dept of Treasury's most watched list and was the spokesman for the American Muslim Council.

Faisal has had NUMEROUS speeding tickets...many this year alone. He is in direct violation of Navy Regulations. He has claimed that he is a lobbyist. It is even said that he is not even a member of the Virginia Bar.

Don't you DARE call me a racist when you hide behind Anonymity. It is time that YOU be a man (or woman) and sign YOUR name. It is NOT racism to show the light of truth on someone and as an American, you disgust me with your name calling and false accusations. Get your facts STRAIGHT before you throw the R bomb.

You are the first person that came to my mind when I wrote that. Please, check out Chris Royse website listed above. Here's some comments from another thread.

Moving on to something even more important than the Sheriff’s race. Let’s address the ever pressing and important election down in the Woodbridge District, and that is the race for Supervisor. Chris Royse is the clear choice for the good of our entire county. He’s the lynchpin to seeing that the resolution is not watered downed. Chris as the Woodbridge Supervisor we’ll know that all of our hard work wasn't have done in vein. Check this article out.

Democratic candidate Frank Principi said two points of Royse’s four-point plan to stop illegal immigration would create a “police state.” What is he saying? Is he saying that the Rule of Law is the equivalent of a “police state”?
We need Chris Royse he will represent the county as whole very well. He will show us leadership not how to be a follower.

Well I was one of the people who actually climbed out of bed, re-dressed, and drove the 25 minutes to attend the BOS last week. I wanted to attend the forum last night but my HOA scheduled our annual meeting for the same time.

I talk this up all I can and am certainly very vocal in the coffee shop at the VRE. Most that I talk to are very upset with the conditions in Woodbrige. I think we see our property values damaged. Some say they are embarassed to give have people come visit because Route 1 looks so bad.

Your post is a good example, John Light, of why some Republicans consider you and Greg L. racists, and why we believe over the long term you will dramatically hurt our party.

You condemn my candidate (Gill) because you claim he has ties to terrorists. His strongest supporters are Corey Stewart, Scott Lingamfelter, and Bill Bolling. Applying the same logic as you used to link Tim Kaine to radical Muslims, as strong supporters of Gill, Corey Stewart, Scott Lingamfelter, and Bill Bolling have ties to radical Muslims and terrorists. Yet these three you praise, while choosing a liberal like Paul Nichols over the true conservative Faisal Gill. Why? It's hard not to conclude that your reasons are racially-based. Otherwise you are being incredibly inconsistent and hypocritical.

Now, one caveat to this conclusion. I realize that Greg L. might be against Gill because the latter is representing Steve Chapman in the libel suit against Greg, and that John Light might be against Gill because John is or was dating Gill's rival Julie Lucas. If either of those are the case then just man up and admit it since they are both valid reasons for opposing someone. But using the excuse of alleged ties to terrorism without also condemning Stewart, Lingamfelter, and Bolling (again, their ties to Gill and via him to terrorists are much stronger than the one's you are asserting for Tim Kaine, Brian Moran, and others) smacks of racism. There is just no other plausible explanation.

"So the only Democrat to show up was Nichols. Do you think, Greg, just maybe, that he’s just playing you and the HSM crowd to get your support knowing you hate Gill?"

Or maybe, "Anonymous", you are just ashamed that your candidate (Gill), has terrorist connections so you will attack anyone who attends a Help Save Manassas Event who does not also share your view.

I have to give credit to Mr. Nichols for showing up. It's a damn if you do, damn if you don't moment for him and he did the right thing. Whether or not we agree with the man politically, you have to give him credit for at least showing up. Maybe, HOPEFULLY, he will learn something that will stick in his head and when he wins in November, use. Also, he will see by showing up at HSM meetings the strength the organization has and realize that it is NOT a bunch of racists, but concerned citizens who, like him, only want what is best for their home/community.

Greg L,
Thanks, I will be on the look out for audio.
Well, this only confirms that the Eastern end of the county(especially the Woodbridge District) needs to WAKE UP!!
Looks, like they've been sleeping like Hilda, it's been a long twenty years. That's why they need Chris Royse down there.
http://www.chrisroyse.com/
The county is waking up as a whole. Look at how many folks we heard late last Tuesday night say they'd gotten out of their pajamas to come let their voice be heard. We the citizens are slowly but surely becoming more involved in our communities, our government, and our elected officials. Waking up will take sometime.
The "illegal alien" invasion didn't happen overnight, nor will go away overnight. The "red carpet" is getting rolled up, and the quality of life will be renewed and restored in time. We've seen many postitive changes right here in our own neighborhoods.
I believe we could possibly see record turn out in the county this election. I hope we do.

Greg L,
Thanks, I'll be on the look out.
Well, more confirmation that the people at the Eastern end of the county(especially the Woodbridge District), need to WAKE UP! They've been sleeping down there just like Hilda has been for the last twenty long years. The county citizens are waking up too. Just look at how many spoke late last Tuesday night at citizen's time, and said they got out of their pajamas to come down and address the PWCBOS. We met several of these folks ourselves last week.
Waking the Eastern end up will take sometime just like cleaning up the "aftermath" of the "illegal alien invasion", slowly the "red carpet" is getting rolled up. The many problems our communities have been plagued with didn't happen overnight, nor will they go away overnight. We will see more citizen's involvement on many fronts of our communities, our government and elected officials. I believe this will possibly result in record turn out at the polls for our county.

I haven't talked to Paul about his reasons for attending, I'm just very pleased that he took time out of his schedule to do so. I would assume that he is interested in reaching out to voters wherever they might be found, doesn't take his marching orders from anyone else, and is doing what he feels will be best for his campaign.

If you've got some questions about why Paul Nichols was the only Democrat to show up, I suggest you ask him. I can't answer questions about his motivations.

I know that some Democrats had other commitments. One declined, and their message to me was posted on Craig's Musings if you're interested. The others never acknowledged the invitation to my knowledge. They may have had good reason for their decisions, and may not have. I'm not going to beat anyone up for missing a fairly short-notice candidate forum, but hope that candidates from all parties feel that reaching out to all voters concerned about illegal aliens is something very worthwhile.

There's a fairly substantial block of voters who are HSM members, and I hope candidates of all parties consider their votes important.

Or do you really think that he's at odds with the rest of his party? Pandak, Colgan, Principi, Brown, Day, and Barker don't show, but Nichols does. Which among them is showing character do you think and which is pandering? Nichols is playing you Greg. How could you possibly believe he really buys into your stuff? Or do you just not care so long as Gill loses? Either way, it's hard to figure out who is more pathetic here, you or Nichols.

It was pretty well attended by candidates -- we had Stewart, Fitzsimmonds, Gill, Nichols, Royse, Frederick, Ligamfelter, and O'Brien there. The attendance from the eastern district membership was a lot lighter than expected, so there's obviously some work to be done to get the Eastern end of the county better organized.

I hope to have audio posted soon, perhaps tomorrow. There was some good stuff, and some folks I didn't expect to deliver a really strong performance did really well.

For those who didn't make it, I expect the audio will be a really valuable resource for voters who want more information on the illegal alien issue. Between all the candidates, we really got a lot of in-depth discussion about a lot of the aspects of the problem and some strong information on where the candidates stand.

Which candidates will be included in the second forum? I would love to see Rishell taken to task on the illegal alien issue, but she did so poorly in her recent debate with Miller that I doubt she will go head to head with him again in a single issue forum which focuses on her greatest weakness.

The fact that Tom Tancredo, Mr. Anti-Illegal Immigration, isn't even a mid-runner much less a frontrunner should tell you all you want to know. Of course Tancredo is also kind of a nutty loose cannon, but if the issue were as salient as you suggest, wouldn't he have done better?

I think you're sadly mistaken about this being the most important issue of this race.

It isn't even the most important issue in the state of Virginia. Only something like 7% in the state think illegal immigration is the most important thing affecting their lives. The most important -- traffic.

Interesting to me that tonight during the Repub Presidential Debate there was not one question asked re: this issue. This is definitely the hot potato issue of this race that nobody but Tancredo wants to talk about. Very disturbing that the FNC hosts chose to avoid it as well. I don't recognize my party any more.
