Driving liberals, dhimmis and illegal alien apologists absolutely insane since 2005...

Do They Really Want Me To Come To This?

By Greg L | 24 October 2007 | Illegal Aliens, Humor & Satire | 9 Comments

I got an email invitation to attend a gala for something called “CentroNía“, and I don’t think I’ll be attending.  It’s usually not a good idea to invite me to a gala in which the National Council of La Raza is a sponsor.  Instead, it’s probably better to publicize those corporate entities that willingly associate with this illegal alien lobbyist organization, so readers of BVBL can ensure they don’t do business with them.  Certainly there are better organizations to support to that benefit children.

Here are the sponsors of the event, as identified in the email:

The Gala’s honorary co-chairs include Senator Mary L. Landrieu (LA), Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (DC), Richard D. Fairbank, Founder, Chairman and CEO, Capital One Financial Corporation, Mike N. Herrald, Regional President of PNC Bank, Greater Washington DC area, Marian Wright Edelman, Founder and President of the Children’s Defense Fund, and Janet Murguía, National Council of La Raza, President & CEO.

CentroNía thanks it’s Corporate sponsors:
*Capital One *Freddie Mac Foundation *Horning Brothers *ACCESO *Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman Gragg & Associates, LLC. *Gretchen Gayle Ellsworth *Geppetto Catering, Inc. *Heather L. Hodges *Beatriz “BB” Otero *Princewaterhouse Cooper *Scholastic *United Bank *Allied Communications *ALTA Consulting *Beach Brothers Printing, Inc. *Clete Boykin *City First Bank *Fannie Mae *Marie and Wendell Johns *The Washington Post *Walker & Co., LLP. *Barbara & Steve Wege *Joanne Williams *Calvert Distributors, Inc. *Benjamin Gitterman, MD *Robert Hirsch *Shannon J. McGreevy & Peter H. Hansen *Judith & Richard Meltzer *Metropolitan Group *Ruth Ann Stolk *Mitchell Story, Long & Foster Realtors *Telemundo WZDC Washington DC *The Answer Title Company *Carolyn & Phil Wogaman *

Although I don’t know much about this organization, perusing their website it seems that they provide support to illegal aliens.  I imagine that my presence at this $100 a plate fundraiser would be somewhat counterproductive to what they’re trying to do here, even if it might be interesting to corner someone from Capital One and ask them why they think their customers are interested in supporting “The National Council Of The Race”.

I love how companies come up with their standards of what offends their customers and what does not. I bet many of these companies do not allow their employees to say “Merry Christmas” or to host Christmas parties” to avoid offending any. Yet, they do not see a problem supporting these criminals.

No! They’ve been using the American public for that.

How about nominating Greg for the PWC Human Rights Commission’s Awards to be presented at their December 10 banquet? Nominations are due November 30. The application says:

“Candidates for the Human Rights Awards must be Prince William County residents. The Awards honor outstanding contributions that have promoted the equality for all people in Prince William County, demonstrated by leadership and excellence in any field, in either a paid or unpaid capacity. Candidates whose effectiveness and courage have advanced the cause of equality for all people of all ages in significant and substantial ways that have enriched our community will be considered. For example, they may have identified needs for change and found innovative solutions in sectors relating to all people; lobbied for groups and services; initiated public education and information activities; or through their lives, made outstanding creative achievements or otherwise advanced equality for all people.”

I don’t know of anyone else, other than perhaps John Stirrup or Corey Stewart, who has done more to ensure that our laws are applied equally “for all people in Prince William County” or who has “identified needs for change and found innovative solutions in sectors relating to all people; lobbied for groups and services; initiated public education and information activities; or through their lives, made outstanding creative achievements or otherwise advanced equality for all people.”

They won’t select him, of course, but given that they give five awards and ignore Greg, we’ll have more evidence of their pro-illegal alien biases. We’ll see just how serious they are about defending the rights of middle-class, hard-working PWC LEGAL residents.

Good. “…don’t do business with them”. So thankfully does that mean no more links to the Washington Post on BVBL? No more interviews either?
