Too Funny

This comment, which I don’t necessarily endorse, reminds me of those that nominated Rush Limbaugh for the Nobel Peace Prize:
How about nominating Greg for the PWC Human Rights Commission’s Awards to be presented at their December 10 banquet? Nominations are due November 30. The application says:
“Candidates for the Human Rights Awards must be Prince William County residents. The Awards honor outstanding contributions that have promoted the equality for all people in Prince William County, demonstrated by leadership and excellence in any field, in either a paid or unpaid capacity. Candidates whose effectiveness and courage have advanced the cause of equality for all people of all ages in significant and substantial ways that have enriched our community will be considered. For example, they may have identified needs for change and found innovative solutions in sectors relating to all people; lobbied for groups and services; initiated public education and information activities; or through their lives, made outstanding creative achievements or otherwise advanced equality for all people.”
I don’t know of anyone else, other than perhaps John Stirrup or Corey Stewart, who has done more to ensure that our laws are applied equally “for all people in Prince William County” or who has “identified needs for change and found innovative solutions in sectors relating to all people; lobbied for groups and services; initiated public education and information activities; or through their lives, made outstanding creative achievements or otherwise advanced equality for all people.”
They won’t select him, of course, but given that they give five awards and ignore Greg, we’ll have more evidence of their pro-illegal alien biases. We’ll see just how serious they are about defending the rights of middle-class, hard-working PWC LEGAL residents.

I can just imagine the reaction of members of the Human Rights Commission when they receive such a nomination after having suffered through the dressing down I gave to some of their members earlier for the way they conducted their hearings regarding the rule of law resolution. If what happened with the Nobel Prize is any indication, our closest analog to Al Gore will end up with the thing, though. Is Ricardo Juarez a lock for this, even though it would violate Virginia law to provide him with such a benefit given his legal status?

Greg, though you and I are at odds on the choice for sheriff,
(BTW I am totally shocked that you haven’t put anything out
here regarding the escape of a convict in sheriff’s custody
which took place today) I can’t think of a better person for this
award than you. You have been a dedicated, hardworking
and informative source to lots of folk who contribute to this
venue. I am a news hound, and I know that I can count on
you to have the most up-to-date information so that I don’t
need to depend on the local newspaper. You have shown your
passion for ridding this county of the scurrilous invaders and I
believe that by you taking the bull by the horns, something has
actually been accomplished. A lot more needs to be done, but
I feel that you will stay the course and continue to be a voice
for all of us. Congratulations! Job well done!
Would the real Slim Shady please stand up, please stand up
Gone Fishing - You rely on Greg for your news? “.. I can count on you to have the most UP-TO-DATE news, so that I don’t need to depend on the local newspaper.” Great! He just quoted a 24 year old article from that rag the Washington Post
Krutis, I find that Greg is pretty much on target with his
reportings and lets us know whether something has been
verified (always following up with details). As I stated
previously, I am a news hound, watching CBS, NBC and FOX
News rather religiously. I usually don’t bother with the Journal
Messenger/Potomac News unless I wish to read an article
about wine tasting or dog shows.
Greg hasn’t bothered to post his findings on the escape of the
convict which happened yesterday morning, so he is somewhat
lacking, me thinks….ummm…he doesn’t want any negative
press for Glendell Hill? Especially so close to election day!!
Greg for president!
…of his homeowner’s association : )
Krutis, yes, I am still “glancing” at the JM each morning, but not totally relying on Greg for any important, reliable, meaty
news since, as of this date, he has let me and others down with
his lack of information on the escape of the prisoner on Wed.
I have to assume that hundreds of fearful parents, teachers,
citizens and locked-down students are just not in Greg’s domain
of importance. We totally understand, Greg. No bad press for
your friend, Sheriff Hill! Please, Greg, at least let us know if
he is still missing in action?
Knowing that you have small children, it would seem that you
would be concerned enough about this situation to at least
attempt to obtain some information for your readers.
I’m going to have to withdraw my comments of Oct 24 @ 9.18.
redawn, just who, pray tell, is “Slim Shady”? Have I lived so
sheltered a life? I haven’t a clue as to who this is, so please
fill me in!
Sometimes I do have other things that need to be done other than posting stories. I’m flattered that some think I can cover everything, but this blog largely is produced only by me, and I’m scanning six or seven mainstream media outlets for stories. Inevitably I’ll miss something.
Next time I do, I welcome you to submit a guest post covering anything that I seem to have missed, and if I can use it, I will. Submit a few of these that are pretty much good to go, and you’ll get an invite to be a contributor.
Even though BVBL may occasionally miss a few things, I think you’ll admit it’s well worth the price you pay for it.
Gone Fishing,
“redawn, just who, pray tell, is “Slim Shady”? Have I lived so

It is a song that I am sure everyone here has been made aware of via their own kids, media, etc.
I just heard the song in my head, as I read the post of this thread…Greg was nominated but passed the buck to some important others who needed credit too. ( maybe, as, I am still learning, I should refrain from the music analogies, but that would deny how I relate things in life)
please stand up! LOL….just saw how I used my comas, like I was singing the song..please, stand up
Greg, thank you for your explanation, but I’m not buying it
for a second. If something like that happened on the
Stoffregen watch, you would have jumped all over it like
flies on a rotting catfish! That’s okay, the JM finally put out
in today’s paper some flimsy babble by Hill, but now at least
we know he’s come out of hiding.
redawn, that’s funny. I don’t believe I’ve ever heard the song.
Please don’t refrain from using the music analogies, you get
some pretty good responses, so keep them coming. If I don’t
get the meaning, I’ll let you know and you can fill me in(again).
