GUILTY!

By Greg L | 25 October 2007 | Illegal Aliens, Crime | 32 Comments

Marvin Alexis Rodriguez-Barrera (aka “Abnormal”) was found guilty moments ago of first degree murder and criminal gang participation in the death of Charles “CJ” Angelos last November. Rodriguez-Barrera is an illegal alien and member of MS-13 from Guatemala who ran down and stabbed Angelos in the back four times. Angelos bled to death on the back steps of a nearby house after the attack.

A recommended sentence from the jury is expected shortly.

UPDATE: The jury has recommended a 37 year sentence for first degree murder, and a five year sentence for criminal gang participation.  The actual sentence will be decided by the judge, and Rodriguez-Barrera will have to serve at least 85% of his sentence.

To Dumb Ass Anonymous - ‘This guy’ was just found guilty. I would assume ‘This guy’ was in the court room! And, hopefully, the jury will give him the DEATH penalty!!!

Unfortunately, I believe the maximum sentence this scum can get is life. He should have payed the ultimate price - execution! He will live out his life in prison with his ms-13 buddies, have three “squares” a day and cable television. That is if they don’t extridite him back to el Salvador to do his time and we then find out he was released. Corruption is a way of life in Central and South America and a few bucks placed in the right hands can do wonders (especially if you have ms-13 backing you.)

Just because he is in the courtroom doesn’t mean he can’t escape. Are you a deputy?

Speaking of punishment for killing another, anyone have the scoop on why this dude Herrera was only charged with reckless driving instead of manslaughter for killing the girl in Woodbridge? Is this another reason to vote for Ham on election day?

    John L,
Lee Boyd Malvo, probablly would’ve been tried as an adult by PWC, and then he would’ve got the death penalty more than likely. That’s not what happened in Fairfax. Sorry.
I agree the first comment was probably about the recent escapee. However, that story is burried deep in threads, and it’s off topic there. I doubt we’ll see a headline on here about that. I wonder if Glendell has returned any calls to the MJM.

Lafayette, you are PROBABLY right, but the bastard was tried in not just “Sanctuary City” but other areas as well and got life in those Courts too. It should be REAL simple, except in cases of self-defense, regardless of the mental condition of the person they should receive the death penalty for imposing the same on an innocent person, more especially when a kid is murdered.

Even if Malvo had been tried as an adult, the death penalty is no longer an option as a punishment for juveniles. Unfortunate but true. Some of the most violent criminals are juveniles.

37 years for first degre murder? YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING!
Today’s WP had story about 2 sheriff’s deputies shot and murdered in Merryland and the killer only got 30 years.

We are getting like the third world countries where a life has no meaning. God help us!

justice-I say they are free to first boycott, work stoppage, and then march straight to Maryland. I personally like Montgomery Count for the “illegal invasion”.
We’ve had numerous taggings right down the street from where the murder of CJ took place. The taggings appearing to be rival gangs. I sure hope it stay calm around here.

    CJ never had a chance.

From the time he decided to get in his truck and find the person who attacked the home of his family he was headed for disaster.

There were at least fifteen vicious gang members that poured out of the town home on Portwood Turn, all armed with knives, the one that delivered the fatal stab wounds looked more like a machete!
This was such an awful crime; it’s just not possible to explain just how horrible it was. Be aware of what is going on around you and your family. Teach your family to not address these animals directly if at all avoidable. These MS-13 and wannabee gang members do not have the same values that normal people here in America understand; they do not value life at all. They tell everyone they come here for a better life but they do not mean it. Paul Ebert best described it when he said in court that this murderer had every opportunity for a wonderful life in this country, but he made a conscious decision to take the life of another for no reason.
These are vicious people and they cannot be trusted, ever!

    CJ never had a chance.

Possible Deportation in Irving Just a Phone Call Away
    Thursday , September 27, 2007

    By Maggie Lineback

IRVING, Texas — Who’d think something as simple as a phone call could cause so much controversy? But that’s just what’s happening in Irving, Texas.

When someone’s brought to the jail and can’t prove they’re in the U.S. legally, Irving law enforcement officers let their fingers do the walking. Local police cannot enforce federal immigration laws. They also can’t make the official determination of whether someone’s here legally. So Irving police call the people who can.

Immigration Customs and Enforcement, or ICE, has a special hotline set up just for this purpose. It allows an ICE officer to get on the phone with a suspect and interview him or her. ICE also has access to databases that can help establish someone’s legal status.

When do local law enforcement officials call ICE? That depends where you live. Contacting ICE is at the discretion of each police or sheriff’s department. So while ICE has a program called “Operation Streamline” near the border, which mandates that immigrants go to jail until they see a judge on immigration violations, someone popped for an infraction by a local police officer may never be referred to ICE. The city of Irving calls ICE every time someone’s immigration status can’t be determined.

This has led to plenty of debate. To many activists in the Hispanic community, it amounts to racial profiling. They say people being pulled over for traffic tickets end up getting deported because they can’t produce ID and are hauled off to jail. The Mexican Consul in Dallas says half of the deportation cases it reviews originate from Irving. The Consul is advising all Mexican nationals to steer clear of the city.

Irving’s mayor says that’s regrettable, but he’s standing firm. He says the city’s not trying to weigh in on the national debate on immigration; it’s just trying to let ICE officers do their job.

How are we continuing to let these people come here and commit crimes against our citizens over and over again? Read this, it will make you sick:

    http://wral.com/news/local/story/1970492/

Raleigh — Court records show that a Durham man who went the wrong on Interstate 540 Thursday morning was convicted of driving while impaired in 2006 – at only the first of at least five appearances in court that year.

Authorities on Friday charged Eblin Fabiel Ocampo Cruz, 22, of U.S. Highway 70 West, with one count each of DWI, reckless driving, failure to reduce speed and possession of a revoked license. He also faces charges involving driving the wrong way on the highway.

“We’re dealing with a person who’s got some serious issues going on,” Lt. Everett Clendenin, spokesman for the state Highway Patrol, said.

Authorities said Cruz was driving westbound on eastbound I-540 between Creedmoor and Six Forks roads around 2:45 a.m. when he collided head-on with a Ford Mustang.

Both drivers had to be removed from their vehicles and remained hospitalized on Friday evening. The driver of the other vehicle, Bettie Coates, 42, of Wake County, was listed in serious condition Friday afternoon, troopers said.

Cruz was wanted by the Department of Correction for probation violations, and was listed, as of Oct. 8, as an absconder.

“He had not reported to his probation officer and was not complying with the terms of his probation,” said Keith Acree, a spokesman for the North Carolina Department of Correction. “In fact, we lost track of him. We didn’t know where he was and had a warrant out for his arrest.”

Court records show Cruz was on probation for several different cases. In February 2006, he was convicted of a DWI in Durham, and a month later, he was convicted of misdemeanor unauthorized use of conveyance of a vehicle and misdemeanor breaking and entering. In May 2006, Cruz pleaded pleaded guilty to reckless driving and passing an emergency vehicle.

“That’s why he shouldn’t be out on the highway. He should be behind bars, from what I’m hearing,” Clendenin said.

Charges continued to follow Cruz: resisting an officer in October 2006 and possession of stolen goods in December 2006.

Officials said they belive he may also be behind some more serious crimes. Cruz went by several names, and one of those aliases is wanted for second-degree kidnapping and assault on a female in Orange County.

“It’s putting people in danger,” Clendenin said.

Immigration agents said they are investigating the status of Cruz, who was born in Honduras.

Troopers said they will be waiting when Cruz is released from the hospital, where he is being treated for internal bleeding and a fractured leg.

“He’s being monitored, and when it comes time for him to be released, there will be a trooper there to take custody of him,” Clendenin said.

I said this earlier on another posting, here it is again:

Regarding the C J Angelos case and PWCPD.

    THERE WAS ANOTHER ARREST Tuesday.
This one was a gang participant who destroyed and stole parts from CJ’s truck. He was actually incarcerated in PW ADC awaiting deportation under an assumed name. Now he has been charged and will be prosecuted for his acts.

    GOOD WORK PWCPD! Thanks………

At least a number of these people are moving away. The 10 Guatemalans above me are moving out as I type it. They have been running a hotel for illegals up there, so I am glad to see them go. One of my neighbors who knows them says they are afraid of being deported after the resolution. There have been at least a half dozen moving vans here this past week, every one rented by Hispanics fleeing.

This is one area where association with religious group special interests has gotten us into serious community safety trouble. The country as a result of religious group advocacy refuses to remove the “meanest” of society with the death penalty so they can never claim another innocent victim. In parole years this guy will be eligible to commit another murder in about 25 years. Do you really think he will get less mean in prison? There are individual mean and non-remorseful (even animalistic) people in this world, regardless of your personal religious beliefs that the rest of society has a right to protect itself from and to remove permanently from ability to harm others. Think of each child murder victim killed by a repeat offender, that is what religious group advocacy for just one religious concept enforced on all others has given us as a matter of “doctrine” and yet those same religious “rule” advocates send our own troops every day to die a miserable death in the name of religious “fear” and “superior rule” issues.
